In prosecution: - That wound is still fatal if untreated. Major veins run there. He would bleed out in a few hours. It does not look like he ripped his sleeve off to stop the bleeding. He definetely could not walk. - The fact that he is still wet is stupid. He was in the water, he would have died, and his gun would not work. - It is astonishing that he did not lose that gun on the way (it is not the one attacked to his arm, he drops it when Mikasa kills him. Or maybe it is the one he had on his left hand and somehow deattached it with his completely mutilated right arm). - Wherever he was, it is stupid he was not caught. - He spent a day bleeding out, without water and food, possibly in the sea. No way he had the strength to walk. Plus: - They never bothered to remove the bullets from the fuel tank. I am not an expert, but they could totally clug the pipes inside. Or if they were not cooled off enough in an hour, they could ignite the fuel inside. Stupid excuse: - Eren could have altered Floch a bit with his powers to make him survive, but I don't see a reason for him to do that just to get him and Hange killed. He liked them both, and it served no purpose in the grand scheme of things.

Legends has it the armored Titan's real power is plot armor. The armor plates are simply a distraction Jokes aside tho. I feel like the best way to avoid that plot hole with the whole consciousness transfter thing was to just have Levi slightly miss Reiner's spinal cord and there you go. Him surviving the fall is understandable. He landed on his back which means he might've broken his spine. For a titan shifter anything that doesn't mean instant death is not a death sentence

I genuinely liked gabi, I even liked her role, even if its kinda repetitive (she is not a copy though), it really adds to falco and other characters like pieck etc.. but yeah all the ass-pully conveniences, coincidences and lucky shots were too much. She was too good, not even levi was this talented as a kid. It's also ironic how people kept hating on Gabi despite her changing her beliefs. They were kind of acting like her. This type of people would behave like gabi if they were in her position: blind, hateful, and unwilling to forgive or understand.

I agree with this video, but my way of squaring the ridiculous plot armor of the armored titan is that it's actually a PURPOSEFUL choice by Isayama making some kind of statement about the prevalence of "plot armor" in media and anime. I watched another great video that went really in depth explaining the psychology of how the Armored Titan also has extreme emotional armor. and so people also make the joke about the "plot armor titan" but I think it's actually TRUE. like he ACTUALLY does have plot armor as a purposeful artistic choice by Isyama.

Here’s my guess: the consciousness transfer thing was probably an artifact from Isayama’s plan for Eren. I’m guessing he had planned for a while that Eren would be decapitated at some point or another, and was workshopping possible abilities to circumvent that fact. This was probably one of his ideas that he established early on, but then reworked and forgot to remove from the earlier story. Could be wrong, but thats my thought

naw i think it makes sense that the armored titan is extremely survivable even in unforeseen ways, because each titan represents some kind of advantage towards a theme. The armored titan's theme is defense. we see the armor and think, that's it, it has crazy strong armor that it can use offensively and defensively and it keeps the shifter alive. But being able to transfer consciousness is another way of avoiding death, a powerful additional defensive ability. plus we know the spinal fluid is extremely important, so as long as the spine is intact it makes sense the titan power remains in effect and the user stays kicking.

these kinds of stories are so messy, feels like they just made things up as they went and added a bunch of filler and unjustified flashbacks blah blah

The more i question the decisions made by Aot characters ( aka isayama ) the more I’m reassured that this manga is nothing short of pure trash and was carried all along by Wit’s outstanding visuals and amazing OSTs The fact that this is supposed to be the best arc « by consensus « speaks volume about how dumb the audience is

Basically the ending was fantastic, as long as you just skip the converstion between Eren and Armin in the paths. If you remove that conversation, then it's all good. That's how i will watch it from now on.

I agree with just about everything you said except for the thing about eren wanting mikasa to miss him. I honestly thought that was just about the only decent thing about the ending, because it felt like the real eren was back, even if just for a moment

One thing I've noticed about people who call the ending a "masterpiece" or even just good is that they refuse to talk about anything other than everything around Eren, when the show is about so much more than him, and the problems with the ending include so much more than him. Here's one you didn't mention for example; remember Yelena? Remember how after Zeke lost against Eren, her one reason left to live was to see the outcome of Eren's choice and be vindicated in that the Euthanasia plan was correct? Too bad Isayama didn't, because he then had her given the choice of seeing the Rumbling personally on Falco's Titan or stay on the boat to do nothing, which for the plot's convenience he had her do the latter, which makes absolutely no sense and left her character arc just unfinished. Remember how the show made it absolutely clear that Marley has done tons and tons of titan experiments, and that the Beast Titan was proven to be mostly useless for combat? Or that the Female Titan's power is apparently using parts of other titan powers without having to eat them? Well guess what, Falco was given a drop of Zeke's spinal fluid and now has full Beast titan powers better than the actual shifter, completely trivializing the Beast and Female titan powers, as well as having infinite stamina and shifts so he could fly across a continent or two, also trivializing the Cart Titan. And there's just so many other issues with the ending that this comment could go on forever. There's tons of plotholes with the Founding Titan (Eren loses the power, causing the Rumbling to stop, but then uses it later to return/create paths memories), plotholes with the worm, bad writing with deathbait, so much plot armor, the list goes on.

Man I miss when this was considered the worst plot convenience/bad writing in the series. After watching the final episode I've really began to appreciate how amazing everything was prior

I don't think Ymir was in control of everything. And here's why: As a victim of abuse myself it makes perfect sense to me why Ymir was "in love" with Fritz. Ymir wanted a family, connection, a husband and children. Fritz gave her all of that and then rewarded her with praise for helping him conquer everything. To a victim of abuse, this is enough to fall "in love". And I use the quotes because she wasn't actually in love. Like all abuse victims, she convinced herself that she was in love in order to avoid the reality of her situation. Without Fritz, she would have had no children, no family and no purpose. At least from her perspective. She could have, at any point, killed Fritz and taken the throne for herself but she didn't because she associated him with the only good things that were in her life. In the end, abuse tricks you into believing that you need your abuser more than anything else and that separating yourself from them will cause you to lose everything you care about. Ymir was not a slave to Fritz, she was a slave to the lie she and all other abuse victims tell themselves out of fear. That's why Mikasa was the one who set her free and not Eren. Eren told her she was wrong but Mikasa proved it. All the choices Eren made was not due to Ymir, its perfectly in his character. The reason why when he looked in the future there was no version where he didn't go with the rumbling, wasn't because of Ymir. It was because the ones where he didn't do the rumbling, or did a limited rumbling, would require him to put his faith in the people of the outside world to make the right choices that would lead to a good outcome. But Eren would never choose that path because as he said during his last message to his friends in the paths, he wasn't going to leave anything to chance. Eren wanted freedom, freedom means control, and he would never give up control of the ending to his potential enemies. Any ending he didn't have 100% control of would be off the table for him. He just wouldn't risk it. I get why you have your perspective on the ending, but I see it completely differently, and I like what I see. Also I literally only just finished watching the ending like and hour ago which is why I'm dumping this here 6 months later. Sorry. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

Personally and I know this is a hot take I think Levi is the dumbest thing in AOT, he had a little bit of good character development and then just turned into one of the most smug annoying garbage characters of all time who the author just would not let die for some reason even when he should have obviously died no other character would have survived that worst character if I could remove one character it would probably be Levi.
