I had an idea for a video series for AOE. How about we see the following scenes strung together: - all the scenes that are only in the anime (like Eren's 1st dream, Beserk mode, random military kids in the ending, Falco's memories,...). - changed details in direct comparison anime/manga (Mikasa scarf, Eren's coat, Historia at the coronation different hairstyle, ...) - all mirrored scenes in direct focus (which scenes are affected at all? what are all key elements) - which image scenes are almost identical to another figure I think if we see this bundled together, we might see a common thread or see more new connections that will catch our eye. Especially because we often only focused Mappa and not so much the 2nd/3rd season or Witt seasons at all. Would be really nice to see them. Thanks for all your work!
The manga ending kinda mirrors the S1 ending in the fact that Eren failed to complete his objective because he couldn't kill one of his comrades, after that Armin tells Jean that he believes Eren is capable of throwing aside his humanity in order to assert change in the world (also a black bird scene). Also before that when Eren chose to trust the old Levi squad to take down the female titan on their own he also "lost" because he chose to trust his comrades and I don't think the Eren in this timline is about to make that same mistake yet again... but maybe I'm just dumb
Do 100% rumbling before wall broke we lived peacefully for 100 years we can easily live peacefully after rumbling F outside world with proper military rule

Wit studio just put their own twist for the animation, because a black jacket wouldn't look as good (although many "black" stuff in manga are actually a different color in their respective anime) So this "3rd" ending was never supposed to happen, but given Isayama and his quick wits, he will propably use this chance and create a diff ending just to say it was planned all this time xD
That's what I thought at first until you see scenes of Eren's childhood switch from the red and black jackets. Either MAPPA is sooo inconsistent with their animation or there is a purpose. If they were to retcon what WIT did, they would have animated everything like how it's shown in the manga and not just parts here and there. Reactors have mentioned this before, without knowledge of aoe, that Eren's eye color changes from green to blue a lot. Also there's different background changes from the scene where Eren saves Ramsi. At first it could seem like a reach but again if it is then their animation is very inconsistent

The memory scene of manga eren seeing carla's death contradict this statement, 1.the scene is a past memory and not a path scene, and he still has the black hoodie, 2. Mappa used Wit studio's scene of carla's death before 3. mikasa see manga eren running with a black hoodie, not only its anime only added scene, its also a MEMORY OF MIKASA in ep12 S4P2, you gonna tell me its mikasa and eren running on that hill as adult?. And don't try to bring that ymir argument i've since elsewhere, Ymir who has been in path for 2000 years still has a child form, but in chapter 139 when eren and armin talks we can see them grow up while they are in paths? And even changing clothes?. We also litteraly saw adult eren in path in season 4 part 2, why hasn't he take a child form if its "kid eren is actualy adult eren in paths". Anyway.
You have to ask yourself two questions then: 1. Why is the jacket red in the first place? Isayama had a say in the anime production, so why did they change the color in the first place? 2. Let's assume for a second that they just changed the color in the anime for no reason. Why do they switch to the black jacket during flashbacks multiple times in S4P2 then? Those are scenes that don't happen in Paths, they are flashbacks to Kid Eren, so there is no reason to switch the color. Sometimes they use the red jacket, and sometimes they use the black jacket. And very weirdly, it always fits with the multiple timeline theory. So there are two options left: Either Mappa is literally shit at adapting the manga, since they switch from one to another color consistently and no animator seems to care, or they do it for a reason.
