I saw a similar scene with Kenny Ackerman's death where he was walking in a straight line towards a tree and laid under a tree right before he died. Also I keep telling everyone that Eren has his memories from the manga timeline, why do you think Eren's expressions are different from the manga than in the anime. For example, in the manga the first time Eren enters paths, he looked shocked and surprised at what he was seeing but when you see this exact same scene in the anime he doesn't look shocked at all. Then there is the time where Eren is shown in the manga inside of his founding titan and with his eyes closed and a look of surrender on his face and it shows his head connect to a long spine. But then you look at the anime and you see this exact same scene showing Eren with his eye's open and a look of sadness and determination in his face and you can't see his spine connected to his head. I've been telling everyone that the ending will be an AOE, theres soooo many hints throughout the show that it's as clear as day. The creator of AOT ended the manga the way he did on purpose. Think about this, they made it seem like there was 2 alternatives, 1. choice was how Eren could forget about doing the rumbling and run off with mikasa into the mountains. But the consequences of this was that the island gets destroyed and everyone he knows dies. choice 2. Allow himself to get killed by his friends and make them look like heroes to the rest of the world but eventually the island gets destroyed anyway because the cycle of hatred is still there. But the 3rd option is to finish the rumbling and kill anyone who tries to stop him, which would ultimately be Mikasa who stormed into the founding titan's mouth. With this 3rd choice Eren will choose to love Historia instead of Mikasa. Think about it, Eren went rogue because of what they planned to do to Historia, he did the rumbling so that historia wouldn't end up as a breeding tool for the military.
