- 🔶 Charlie (The Family Bovine), returns to his favourite game mode in Empire at War: Thrawn's Revenge. The Infinities gamemode has you & the AI start with one planet! It's a challenging, but really fun gamemode that tends to not get much attention!

How did you like the editing style of this video? Too fast? Or perhaps you enjoyed only focusing on the post-planning and space battles? Let me know in the comments guys, I'm interested in how you like this style of campaign edits.
- Charlie
I do like the space battles but is there any way you can move the face cam to the bottom right so we can see the ships you have
Can you put in time stamps for battles?
The editing was nice. I got to see all of the fun bits, and you skipped the parts I normally skip for me.
I'm excited for this. If I can make a suggestion maybe put the cam in bottom right as top left obstructs the reinforcement pool
Can you show like a small screen with ground battle to put some variety in
Charlie, be sure to get some crimson command victories. They are a bit tanky and they can dish out some good fire. They are expensive though
The only problem that I have with the vid is the camera position because it’s kind of blocking some stuff.
Ye I prefer no cam
Same
I like the cam a lot. I just want it to be smaller.
I like the cam but I find that it’s kind of in the way :/
Maybe place it on the lower right corner. Usually there is nothing important there
Love the video! May I recommend moving your camera to the bottom right? Seems like a lot of free space as opposed to sometimes obstructing fleets and the like. Keep up the great content!
Yeah, for sure. Noticed that issue too!

Haven’t been here in a while but Charlie’s haircut is looking fresh
I love Infinities. Having played through all of them I can tell you that the Corporate Sector Authority one is the most difficult as they have the worst overall roster of all the factions. I also do a lot of planet hopping, with my goal being to get close to enemy territory as quickly as possible and then just bounce around, destroying their fleets and bases, the goal being to prevent them from getting access to capital and dreadnought shipyards while I build up my economy and defenses before advancing one again
12:16 I would have immediately gone for the Bulwark's engines, you have enough bomber power to drastically slow those old CIS ships. In splitting the AI, there are two ways I have seen. First is to sacrifice a 'juicy' ship, like a carrier. The second is to make a threat appear on a flank or rear of the formation. You are also doing a LOT of extraneous clicking of units. Just draw a box. Use your special abilities, like when that heavy Victory didn't have shields, perfect time to use it. Use Victory SDs Arquintens and Victory 2s in wolfpacks of five or more ships, space them in as close as they will fit relative to each other, to create a mass of overwhelming firepower. IT's especially helpful with the Vic 2's power to weapons ability. A good, albeit difficult strat, is to rush the enemy faction homeworlds early game and crush them.
I really enjoyed this. I have actually been really curious about this game mode, so it's cool to see you making a series on it.
I've found that bringing ships in either corner of the map is effective at splitting larger fleets. If I'm facing a larger fleet I usually try to split them up and deal as much damage as possible without losing any of my own ships and then retreating, do that enough times and a large fleet is now either equal in strength of weaker than my own.
I love the one planet build up!
Thank you, I have waited to see somebody do this, I have always failed as the Empire, thank, thank you. I can now know how to actually do it correctly so I don’t get absolutely obliterated immediately.
I've gotten really far as empire
It's a bit cheesy but the easiest way to start is to go the closest planet and retreat until you get a raid fleet, then let them fight the garrison and clean up.
i really liked this, and would love to see a series on it
Great video, would like to perhaps see some more of the epic and challenging planet battles, but I know those are slow going usually :3
Hey guys! Corey sent a trailer for a new mod called Empire at War Expanded: Imperial Reign...we still don't know if it's really a mod because it was uploaded in April's Fool but, knowing Corey, i think it will be a serious project, (also, because of a new UI that was shown in the trailer)
Here's the link: czcams.com/video/H-YDTvcQYVk/video.html
Stay safe guys
Love the editing charlie. The space battles are just better than ground battles.
Love the editing and the video! Great work!
Awesome to see the long awaited Charlie EAW campaign.
Well played Charlie, im looking forward to episode 2
A slightly better way of baiting the ai in fleet battles:
1) bring in a ship in one of the corners, or two of the corners. A small ship will do. Try and put the enemy fleet at angles that turn them away from your incoming reinforcements
2) once the enemy fleet is turned away, bring in the big guns. Your ships will arrive hubs blazing into their side/rear, While they have to waste precious time turning to face your ships. This increases your firepower while decreasing theirs in the initial few seconds, which can massively swing a fleet engagement
This game mode can be a lot of fun!
In order to get the ai to split off, save a few ships to bring in on the other side of the map, the ai will send some ships their way and some ships will continue to your original spawn ins, makes it easier to cut their ships off from each other
Edit: also for the Garos space battle, I realised you didn’t really use the victory 1’s special ability, special abilities definitely can mean the life and death of a ship
when charlie realizes he didn't build space stations anywhere
ye he just sat in political and frigate
Great video, you're doing much better than the last time around! Shouldn't need Corey's 'assistance' this time around.
I think the cut down video format works well, especially if you're not going to stream it. Looking forward to the next episode.
Is it possible to move the face cam to the lower right? It covers up some of the interface when you're looking at fleets and stuff. Great video Charlie!!!
Hay could you move your cam over to the right side so we can see the fleet comps when you click on them
cant wait for charlie to forget about another GC campaign
Man I haven’t played infinities in ages but it’s very fun. Hard, but fun.
could you put your cam in one of the bottom corners? so we can better see the left side fleets.
From The Ground Up is by far the most fun way to play EAWE imo : < D
You need more Escort Carriers to spawn more Fighters and spawn the Procusators behind the enemy so you can attack a 2 Front Fight
I won that gamemode as Eriadu Authority, that was hard.
USE YOUR ABILITIES!!
Hi there Another fun game. Wish I can figure out how to tell you the special Sub Mod
he so doomed
Single planet start is the only way to play
I wouldn't mind some ground battle content, even if it's very condensed.
Last time I did this I had a vicount on a choke point.
I did this with a clone wars sub mod and got really lucky I started next to Kuart, made a ton of Alca actors and antiquins for 50 weeks with skirmish’s and when I started to pump out all of the battlecruisers i was in control of almost all of the space
It's a small irrelevant point but it's called micro-ing fighters and not macro-ing.
Missed it
I just downloaded Empire At War
The best game mode ever.
Eck pls fire charlie
I love and hate this campaign. On the one hand it's hard and I like it, but it's hard and the comps in Admiral/cruel end up attacking me with SSD's before I have a fleet that could challenge it, let alone the 400 other units worth in the fleet with that SSD
hahaha
what mod?
i want more
more
more
more
charlie give me more
Move the facecam! Also, target a planet with a major shipyard, this will let you build star destroyers. These can be found if there are 5 station slots beside the planet
Yes
Shipyard level is now designated by the number, rather than the icons, which related to defensive structure level.
@@wert3155 but planets with 5 stations tend to have a major shipyard
Too many cuts just play the battles.
this is problem- always is so many planets how? only E and R have that, rest have few or 1... always the same mistakes- 0 learning, only graphics+ and few new features de facto useless and can be hidden in cap...
Why do you always play TR? Its combat is utter shit.
Not really fun.
If we're asking that type of question, why did you watch the vid? Why did you waste time to make this comment? Do you have any valid constructive criticism other than just saying, "It's utter shit. Not really fun"?
To answer your question though, the EcksToo crew probably plays TR so much (often, but not all the time) because it's a fav mod of theirs, and also probably because one of them is the lead dev of the mod itself.
You're entitled to your opinion, but many/the majority of the viewers here more than likely really enjoy TR content, seeing as they're even here watching the video.
I see TR as a chaotic mod not something like yoden but Cohesive enough to play and understand, AotR is mainly my go to but I still like it
My question is what's the problem?
