It seems that Joker really sees Shepard as a friend, and felt guilty over Shepard dying to save him.
man, that bit about Joker being concerned about his sister just hurts. We, the players, know what happened to her. Shepard doesn't connect the dots, so Joker never finds out. But we do.

digitalmonster604 if you listen to the story of the traumatized asari in me3 in the hospital. You’ll hear her talk about that one farmgirl she tried to save after her family got turned into husks. Sadly she was crying and giving away the hiding spot where she and the asari commando were trying to hide from the reapers forces. So to save her own life and to spare the little girl, the commando had to kill her. After getting evaced the asari was so traumatized of what she had to do, that she was deemed unable to keep serving in the army.
The devs later confirmed that the asari was talking about Jeff’s sister.

In a universe with species that can head butt you and break your neck in the process, a species that made badass robots and are at war with them, a species dedicates there lively hoods in service, and blue, purple, and green skins with biotics that can rip a man in half and then there’s that one guy with glass bones and a big mouth who ended up saving one of the most iconic ships while using his piloting skills to fly through a ship grave yard in the centre of the galaxy while nearly crashing the Normandy in narrow spaces without a scratch while being the first one to destroy a reaper these are the many reasons why Jeff is one the most badass characters of all time

I love Seth Green in general, but he usually plays characters who are very one-dimensional. It was so cool to find him playing a more complex role and showing his range

.... and the irony is that NO even if they began to sing, no one'd notice outside the ship cuz nothing out there to transfer the sound.. where as on a sub, the drop of a screw can be noisy as hell, relatively speaking.

I remember when I picked the option to ask more about his condition, the way Shepard phrased it left me horrified and it just kept getting worse. I had to reload an earlier save and pretend that part of the conversation never happened.

Everyone hates the synthetic ending, but that moment when Joker and EDI exits the ship and being happy for each other.. it's just hard not to smiley a little for them. It's a cool ending for them, and if destroy is canon and both Shepard and Joker is alive somehow (and EDI is really dead).. well, Shepard's going to have a hard time earning back Joker's friendship.
He might be dead in the New game. Liara is a couple hundred years older based on the teaser trailer.

I like to believe that the Star Child was lying about the blast unaliving all the synthetics to make Shepard question the option. I know that EDI is on the memorial board at the end but it could be she was knocked tf out with that galaxy sized EMP and is presumed KIA but spontaneously boots up when the ship is functional to fly again.
i was hoping they wrote the next game as from Shepards kids eyes whose ironically still called Shepard and that we were tasked to reunite him and his old crew so they could start rebuilding the galaxy.
or they could have made it where Shepard was a reaper god but discovered the reapers werent the only massive threat. Like introduce another race thats immortal and that was an enemy to the reapers because the new race wants to turn every species into them or something

I felt kinda sorry for Saren and the Collector General. The Reapers really are the most terrifying enemy in video game history. Pure psychological warfare and draining hope from the galaxy.

I have not played 3 yet, but that is installing as I type. I have beaten 1 and 2 over the course of eight days. My first ever time playing through Mass Effect, and first time playing Mass Effect 2. These games, and I include 3 even if I have not played it, are perhaps the greatest video game trilogy ever produced. Lastly thank you for this video. I get a kick out of Joker’s snark; so, I looked him up on CZcams for a super cut type video of him. I am glad not to be disappointed; however, this video will have to wait until I have played through 3.
Seeing joker with an M-8 on the shuttle was awesome. The recoil of the gun could have broken his arm but he just didn’t fucking care. The collectors had to die😂

It's incredibly realistic how they write Joker's response to Shepard asking insensitive questions about Vrollick's Syndrome. The "duh" tone; splendid. Ableist people ask those stupid questions all-the-time, leaving the disabled minority to pick up their slack.
Maybe BioWare went out of their way to try to handle that right.
Also incredibly realistic that he'd have past experience with people treating him as lesser for Vrollick's, that he'd become immediately defensive when someone new brings it up. Especially someone in authority. He'd probably worry "oh, great; are they going to try to use this against me?"
You're almost right, except for the part that it's humanity's history of having Woke people give the disabled special privileges specifically to oppress more capable people that has him on edge.

While most people would put Joker in their Top 10, I just can't do it! He may be as loyal as Garrus and Tali--he certainly is more loyal than Wrex who put a gun in your face, I get it! He also may have a complex relationship with EDI which provides some intrigue, I get that too! However, most of what makes him click with the fanbase is how funny he's supposed to be. "Supposed" is the key word since he's not as funny as Bioware wants you to think he is! Plus, he's less of a character and more just Seth Green playing Seth Green! I'm sorry but with a roster packed with great characters as Mass Effect's is, that is not Top 10 worthy as far as I'm concerned. He'll have to settle for Best of the Rest!
