It's honestly better to do that. Speaking from personal experience from combat tours, if you have to take someone out, 10+ tap is the least painful way to do so. Remember the order 66 scene where the clones shot the cute blue Jedi like 50 times? The clones did that as a mercy.

Well, I'm surprised that Wrex collapsed after 4 shots anyway, dunno how he'd die for that. Krogan have lots of redundant organs and Wrex is åretty big Krogan.
@@boydrobertson2362funny you should mention that, because that's actually exactly what they were doing. She and her clone troopers had really good rapport because she treated them like they were valuable individuals, so they tried to make it quick.

I didn't manage to convince Wrex on my very first playthrough. So i got this scene and was like: "Bitch you are *SO* dead the first chance i have to get rid of you." A few minutes later she got the B-card.
The only reasons i kept her around in future playthroughs instead of Kaidan was because he deserved a heroic end instead of whatever they did to him after ME1. And because Ashley actually *is* the kind of idiot that would act like she did in ME2 and 3. So having her there atleast feels in character.

It seems like over kill until you remember how genuinely hard a krogan is to kill in canon. You meet one that only surrendered in a fight after having 2 of his 4 hearts crushed
That’s a very fair point! I actually never considered that in this scene, but it makes sense given that Wrex is an 800 pound over 7 foot Krogan Battle-master
At the same time, that was very clearly a powerful pistol Ashley used, Wrex was knocked down in one shot, suggesting she may have also had explosive rounds, if that is the case, even for a Krogan, that's a little overkill, you ever see how easily they die in cutscenes compared to ingame, sometimes it takes one well placed shot, Ashley shot 4 times and Wrex was coughing liquid suggesting blood filled his lungs after the 2nd shot

This was my first playthrough ever. I was so mad I left her behind her and chose Kaiden.
I refused to accept that. I went back before landing on virmire, and found out i missed his armor.

The Krogans are savages who nuked their own planet
The turians response is war instead of diplomacy on first contact and we're fine conquering what they thought was our homeworld in the first contact war
The salarians sterilized the Krogans forcing most to be miscarriages and share responsibility for the destruction of the Krogans nuking themselves
The asari held back prothean technology to maintain a foothold in the Galax showing they care more for their own interests than others

No, the most brutal scene in the game is when one manages to talk him down here, but then does not cure the genophage. There is a scene that will play out and it is rough. Actually, there are two scenes that are rather rough, in that instance.
Killing Wrex in ME3... Never doing that again.

I played ME3 first so Wrex was predetermined dead by the game, still I won't see his death in 3 I can't betray a bro, I accidentally spoiled myself of his death in 3 and is so heartbreaking.

Every time Kaiden speaks, I just hear text to speech.
Why are people surprised by this? the dialogue option is to signal ashley to shoot. You chose the option why would you be surprised?
I kinda feel bad because in ME2, when Shepard works for Cerberus, all his previous squadmates grew suspicious of him while Wrex is the only one who greets him in excitement.

If you’re planning on saving the Krogen in ME3 or what the satisfaction of killing him in ME3 keep Wrex alive in ME1. If you want to keep Mordin alive kill Wrex in ME1.
I usually kill Wrex when playing as a Vanguard in ME1.

Guy has the paragon option right there as well; they specifically didn’t choose it. At that point it is on the player 100%
You can also have Wrex auto stand down if you don't recruit Garus or Tali and Liara is still stuck in the ruins.

Incorrect, Ashley shot an alien for the crime of not being human. She never does something of that caliber without your permission except in this instance.

There is no redemption for Ash. She is Alliance yet a terrible soldier. Doesn't follow orders, acts on instinct and gets her unit killed. @@mongooseunleashed

I accidentally had this outcome when I played. Both the paragon and renegade options were available, but they seemed too harsh, so I wanted to delay and talk it out a bit more. I didn't reload after and took it as a lesson that if you're the leader, sometimes you have to step up even if it comes to hurting some feelings.
Fun fact: He was regenerating, hence the extra shots.

You can talk him down if you just use the paragon option and if you help him get his family armor. Wrex is one of the best characters in the entire game especially in part 2 and even in the Citadel part in Mass Effect 3. He's literally your best friend along with Garris
The 1st time I played ME, waaaaaay back in ‘07, I got the bad ending with Wrex. I realised that I’d rushed things, thought that there was a countdown on when missions had to be done, and didn’t immerse myself properly. I deleted that entire character profile and started from the beginning; best decision I ever made.

Paragon route: Shepard persuades Wrex by saying Saren is just using his kind as expandable grunts. Sheperd successfully reminds Wrex of his pride of being a Krogan. Therefore, Wrex let Shepard destroy the base.
Neutral route: Shepard tries to talk Wrex out but Wrex is still being stubborn, so Ashley shoots him instead.
Renegade route: Shepard just kills Wrex immediately.

I remember playing this for the first time. I didn't have enough paragon or renegade to save him. I had to go back to a save a couple of hours before this to build it up and save him. He's my favorite.
I had this happen during my first play through, as Wrex being one of my squad members and one of my favorite characters up to that point I literally reloaded a save from over 2 hours ago looked up how to prevent that. Greatest decision I ever made
What i hate about this sence is that krogan in game play aren't that easy to take down unless you are high lvl with the best weapons

Played ME1 for the first time blind recently. I wasn't really paying attention to some of the dialogue (it was like 4am and I was basically half asleep). I didn't know I romanced Ash until basically the endgame, and I ended up spending an additional 3 hours or so reverting to a previous save and using a guide to prevent romancing her lol.

I always found that scene really strange, like you're trying to talk wrex down, when Ashley shoots him, slowly walks up to him, says a one liner, shoots three more times. And then when she's finished you can be like "not cool Ashley. Never do that again", when like shepard had plenty of time to stop her, but just quietly watched from the side.
Killing Wrex is like killing Mordin. It's herecy.

The Krogan *will* start another war after the reapers are defeated, even if it takes until after Wrex dies and is replaced, it's an inevitability, it's their nature.
@jagd7102 I don't know I have faith that Wrex and his future kin would forcefully change that nature as well. He forced the clans to unite when they all want to kill each other and considering the Krogan have a long life span (I'm pretty sure) that prediction is a massive hard take. WHICH IS WHY WE NEED MASS EFFECT 4! 🤣 Honestly if there is a ME4 happening then it could answer those 2 predictions we made. Yours could be correct but considering in Andromeda I'm pretty sure the one Krogan character said that they grew a mutation that made them immune to the genophage or made it easier for them to live with.

But yes we can't say for sure. But in a real life situation, I'd say the chances of Wrex changing krogan nature are pretty slim. Especially since it's not like he's anything close to a pacifist himself. 9-1 odds curing the Genophage leads to another brutal galactic war.

So apparently Wrex completely forget about his kinetic barrrier and, a krogan, was dropped down with a single handCanon shot (Meanwhile in ME2 archangel told us about krogan that was shot with a whole arsenal and survived and Patriarch was smashed by Aria so Hard that he had half Of his orfans crushed before surendering).
I think Ashley gets too much hate for this, personally if I was in her shoes I may have done the same thing. In universe Ashley sees that her commander is in danger and like she said, she couldn't take that risk. Yes it's a shame he had to die but in that specific instance he couldn't be swayed (yes I know you can talk him down but not with that dialogue)
My first Mass Effect run, Ash did that, since then all my other playthroughs, I had Ash die just for Wrex. Saved him during the others but I kept putting her on that planet to die.
