Franny, another successful repair! Not quite a Ferrari brake job but important! Good health trumps all else! Cheers!
Thanks!
You ladies look healthy and happy. Great video.
That rope puller is called a 'Messenger'. Great idea to leave it in for future jobs. Also, try and secure the 'T' piece to stop and movement when water is turned on and off. Any movement over time will cause a failure due to fatigue. Love your channel!
We redid it just recently when we installed a new faucet. Thanks.
🤣Franny, you knew better! Thanks for the plumbing tips. It will help all on this channel!
She does know better Ken! Heidi
Well.....that was a thing! And you thought Porsche's had tight spaces....great job snaking all that wire and getting the final connection accomplished....looks simple when done but getting there was quite the adventure.
That's true!
Good job Franny , that blue light is a great idea. I often go back and watch you doing an oil change on that yellow Boxster. Great stuff
Thanks.
Hi Heidi I like the way you do things. Well don.
Another great video! We have that same system and it works great. We have an English boat so we have three different standard in the plumbing. We were talking and plumbing on a boat is pretty unique.
Thank you!
Wow. Over the river and through the woods to get that wire!
Yep
Another great fix!
Thanks.
Plumbing is my achilles' heel. Guaranteed it will leak on me regardless. I'm the confused guy standing in the plumbing section scratching my head after multiple return trips.
At least you know that. However, you will get better if you try. It's all a learning process.
I use JG Speedfit plumbing parts a lot in my job and find long term reliability is best when there's little to no bend in the pipework at the fitting. If there's a bend with tension on the pipe as it leaves the fitting it will leak at some point in the future prematurely.
Good to know.
Parker-hannifin used to do a fittings range which was completely dismantle-able but could be used as push fit. I used it for all sorts of nasty chemicals without issue , years ago.
That HVAC duct is kinda in the way at the back of the panel, huh? Any way to move that out of the way when you’re doing this work? Great stuff!
Not really. I mean, we could remove it, but then it would just have to be installed again.
Did you use pipe inserts on the end of all of the pipes before inserting into the push fit connectors .I didn't see one on the pipe you cut and without the inserts they can leak or blow out of the push fit connector even under low pressure. Hope I just missed it but would hate for you to have a leak with all that water on board . I've used JG Speedfit many times and always use pipe inserts to strengthen the end of the pipe and lock into the push fit.Best wishes
It uses an o ring, so it doesn't need one.
@@HeidiandFranny Excellent video as usual but on this occasion I beg to differ, but they do need inserts. Used a lot on house, Speedfit and Hep2o, and it will fail. Took 7 years but it gave way as I forgot the insert. Copper pipe obviously doesn't need them.
Have you tested the water coming out of your purifier to make sure it's working properly? (Trust but verify)
Not.with a bio test, just with TDS test. We are still alive, though.
I’m at 2:26 and I’m guessing you got that wire through there by attaching it to a cat and luring her out the other side with treats….
Lol, you have not seen Ozzie and Zeke in a while. Ozzie is close to 17 pounds, and Zeke is now 23! Sadly, they are not your typical cat sized cat! I know you're only joking anyhow!
