    When I build exhaust I go to the scrap metal dealer and by stainless pipes. Often from ventilation or dairy. Here in Sweden you pay about half of the weight price compared to new steel. That means a 5’ stainless 4” pipe can cost $5.

    Going back with ARP head studs, and the .010 thicker head gaskets on a 93 turbo 6.5 diesel mechanical pump. What kind of injectors should I go with and what brand? Looking for power, economy. I would recommend, for what you are looking for, go with marine injectors. More fuel plus more air equals more more power. That's awesome man, mine was a dually when I bought it and I've entertained the idea about switching it back. As far as suggestions on a lift, I'd watch my videos about lifting a 6.5, I cover some things in those videos your going to run into when actually lifting it, also I'm a big fan of getting the most for your hard earned dollar. I'm running a 6" rough country on my truck that I got NEW for $1k the next lift size up was a 7" Superlift for $1500. I couldn't justify $500 for an extra inch of lift. Rough country works, its rugged, and has been proven for years. Not to say others aren't but rough country is the best bang for your buck. I definitely love my 4" exhaust, absolutely no complaints but for $40 you got an awesome deal for your 3" for sure! As far as gauges I have a boost gauge and then I use my phone and scanner to read what everything else is doing, trans temp, intake air temp, fuel pressure, oil pressure ect.

Sometimes i have to crank n crank till it fires up only when i let sit for awhile and also dont have that rich black coal like it used to and exaust smells like hot asphalt..ima check your vid out on that tho...your very informative thanks for all the vids

    • @JessePelkey1
      @JessePelkey1  Pƙed 3 lety

      @@AlexDLG100 the hose that goes from the passenger side valve cover to the turbo inlet is the ccv hose or crank case ventilation hose. What that hose is designed to do is alleviate pressure building up in crank case. It uses the suction from the turbo to remove the pressure from the crank case preventing seals being blown out or start leaking. If your getting excessive build up of oil in front of the turbo it could be the turbo seals failing, leaking oil from the turbo into the intake or excessive blow by. I have seen some people rout the hose into the down pipe of the exhaust but I never have.

      Absolutely man, I would point you in the direction of my (bombproofing a 6.5,keeping it cool) video I posted. Bunch of good info but. They make a high output water pump that increases the coolant flow over the radiator that really helps cool it down. Also, what kind of intake are you running? From factory they made several different filter housings, (some more restriction than others) that would contribute to the heat issue slightly.

      Pull your radiator all the way out and clean out the area in between the radiator and ac condenser. Flush the radiator and engine block while you are at it. You cannot properly do this job without removing the radiator. May think about changing the t-stats to a lower temp like 180-185 unless you live in a area that gets really cold, in that case it would never warm up. Also get a exhaust system with a aftermarket crossover pipe. Those things helped me immensely. Good luck man.

You could just take the old blower motor out and clean the plastic housing that it is mounted into, but I suggest just replacing it if you have the money. There are videos on youtube that will walk you through this whole process. Do it. You wont regret it. My airflow is much better these days.
