Salt water and electronics rarely mix and the ocean is not friendly with our gear. Things are constantly breaking or rusting apart. These are a few of the things we hope to get to keep bringing Sailing Zephyr to you.

Happiness is .... a positive outcome. Fantastic help from the "digger"!
Yup. Saved us an anchor. 👍
Very good Job. Shows that you always try to help yourself before asking for.👍
Wow! That was a nail biter! Good job guys!
Thanks so much. Was definitely stressful for sure.
Kudos to the Digger Driver . 👍Can’t put a trip line on your Fortress, for easy extraction ?🤔 Bob.
Well done getting unstuck ❤ It’s really why I’m more than a bit of a fanatic about having a shallow Draft Sailboat, and I freely admit it. The times I have pulled friends boats off sandbars and off shallows, with Dinghy and Outboard, has me not touching Deep Draft Sailboats with a bargepole. 🤣 Best Wishes. Bob.👍🌟🌟🌟⛵️❤
Ahhh the life of our two adventurers. Glad you were able to save your anchor guys.
Us two. We really are happy too not have lost our fortress. W love it.
If it digs like that, I can't blame you.
♥️♥️👍👍
I got to say that's the most interesting sailing story I have ever seen on CZcams. You obviously know how to kedge off. I sailed the area south of Saint Augustine and brushed the bottom, even though I draw only 4'3"!😅
Wow thanks for the love! Unfortunately we’ve gotten great at kedging off. Not sure that’s a good thing as we must not be acting carefully enough. 😂
Yes I enjoyed this video. Your demeanour was encouraging and cool😂T.U. Well done guys. I shall watch more. Fair wind/wings🎉😊❤
❤️ many thanks. It was stressful but we are just happy we got out and saved our anchor. Thank you so much for watching.
What I learned in this video: Doing your homework and keeping a calm demeanor will serve you well. However, you have to know 1) when to kick things into high gear and 2) when to ask for help.
Well done once again.....
All very true. Just happy we got out and kept our anchor. 👍
Nice job and kudos to the excavator operator.
He was the true hero in this. And his giant excavator. 😀
Hey! It's Cameron! Amazing awesome video, I loved this! Way to go guys
Miss you soo much.
Hi Cam! Miss you guys! How are u enjoying the Bahamas??? Hope to see u real soon! Lots of love to all the fam!
👏👏👏👏👏 Awesomeness
Thank you so much. It was an adventure for sure.
Hello. So glad I found your channel. I have lot of catching up to do ! I had to stop and comment at about 5:00, as soon as you said S from that anchorage, I wondered, 81B or C going to get them. Spent 4 or 5 hours beside 81B a few years ago, waiting for tide & TowBoat. There was just too much traffic to kedge.
Cheers. Appreciate you watching our adventures. It was such a confusing area to navigate with the dredging.
New subscriber Good vod
Thank you and Welcome! ⛵️
Textbook stuff! Well done :)
Appreciate it. Luckily the excavator was there or we would have been down an anchor.
😀👍👍👍❤ You are both a great team.
😊 thank you
what an interesting video! I learned a ton! Obviously you guys need to have an excavator follow along on the shore just in case 😂🤣. Your tenacity and ingenuity paid off. Well done! All the best...
Hahah. Absolutely. Just happy he was there to help. Appreciate the love.
If the winds are blowing south and you are going south, isn't that direction you want to go?
WOW that was an sudden realtime boat-owners adventure on its own just in a moments time..😮😅 But you kept calm and good team work did the job🎉❤..and some luck with this helpfull crane machinist.❤ What I was wondering..could the anchor be released and raised with an inflatable flotation devic? So what you could have on board for cases like this. Or could it be done by sacrifice one or more inflating life jackets?
Glad you enjoyed the episode. The floatation idea is interesting. In this case the anchor was completely underground. Not sure I could have got it out on my own.
It's your waterpump that is leaking out of the weep hole, means the seal is going bad and the water pump needs to be rebuilt or replaced
Appreciate the tip. Will definitely look into this. 👍
It’s not a “sail boat”, it’s a yacht, as in “yacht club”.
Not sure I understand.
@@SailingZephyr In the USA, and maybe Canada, I'm not sure, you call any small boat powered by a sail, a 'Sailboat' Most other places in the world refer to any vessel powered by a sail as a 'Yacht' What you call a 'Yacht' most other places refer to as a 'Mega Yacht' or 'Motor Yacht'.
