- Nightmare is one of the best bosses in the game for money currently. Using an alt to run supplies for you while using higher end gear with maxed combat can make you 12m gp/hr on average. Without an alt nightmare is still pretty good money, but you will spend a lot of time hopping worlds as it’s extremely crowded. Nightmare has horrible regular drops but incredibly valuable rare drops. Fighting this boss is the equivalent of playing scratch off lottery tickets, but when you get a drop the payout is massive.

Great guide. Never tried nightmare and went into it solo right away. First attempt died at 2nd phase to sleep walker because I couldn't see it, but 2nd attempt I killed Nightmare! Wouldn't have been able to do it without such a thorough guide. Thanks!
Fire cape is a max hit with both mace and scythe -- mythical is actually only better in niche setups (bludgeon, namely) and only then if you're using divine super combat potions to maintain the highest boost. Mythical may also be better if you have full inquisitors as I haven't done that calc yet.
I typically get 19 minute kills with mace/bandos. If you have an alt or blood fury it is not worth bringing the sgs, the extra claw spec is better. I typically use 6 brews, 5 restores, 2 balms, and 1 divine/1 normal super combat when soloing. The single most important thing when soloing is avoiding parasite healing by stepping under/luring them far away from totems, that makes the difference between a 21 minute and 19 minute kill with mace, or a 21 minute vs 23 minute bludgeon kill.

nah just use obsidian or obby/karils with dragon defender, cudgel, glory/fury/torture, d boots nd whatever cape you have best.
you dont want really high defence to start with because the player with the most defence overall will be targeted by nightmare so when your in a mass/large team its not worth having high defence just stay around the 200's overall and ur sweet for like 3-6 kills per trip. when you first start you wont be in a team less then 10-20 while you learn the ropes, there are 2 worlds just for nightmare groups. you dont need to be in cc or anything to get a drop just have to do abit of damage
Any tips to do this boss? I can't manage to do it duo with a friend, he takes way to much damage and then I feel like it would just take forever for me to clear it. I use bandos bludgeon because I can't afford scythe e.c.t. Any tips? Just accept that it might take some time to learn how to dodge everything and that solo kills will take a long time?

Will blood fury heal on the totems? or only the sang staff
For parasite make sure you are always centered to the boss, count 5 of your own attacks after infected, after the 5th attack, you want to move 2 squares in from the center, the parasite will pop out under the boss perfectly centered and will take time to work its way out from under, it cannot heal the boss whilst it is under it. it will take time to get the timing down, right click attacking it instant, but your nightmare wont really heal again, a lazier alternative is just staying centered facing nightmare, so it will still get stuck under, just for a lot less time, good guide i guess, this will help beginners for sure.
You’re my favorite OSRS 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐞 content creator, really helped me through all the stuff i’m able to do so far (Jad, Vorkath, etc). Do you plan on making an Inferno 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐞 at any point? I definitely don’t have the stats or irl skills for it yet (or nightmare), but when I do I’ll definitely look to you first if you’ve got a vid.

Can you elaborate on this a little bit? I looked at the dps calc and found that claw spec dps (i look at dps because it factors in accuracy and max hit, and both weapons have the same speed) was 50% more than bludgeon at 1 prayer. As far as I can tell, claws have a higher max hit *and* are more accurate than a bludgeon spec.
Your correct , if your going to waste spec on a parasite use the claws

The sleepwalker will 1 hit ko you in a solo if you don’t kill it (not just 75 damage).

3:22 why does imbued heart give 15% more dps? I thought it only gives higher magic level, which affects splash rate, but you said that it's not possible to splash on totems
On sang staff or trident it boosts the max hit a ton

Is this boss worth doing in the ffa worlds? Seems much easier than soloing the boss and you are a little less likely to receive the rare drop.
Not a little less likely to get the drop, a fuck ton rarer also the time overall to get a unique is faster in a solo then mass
Is it for sure that praying piety will increase your SGS heal on sleepwalkers?
It's based on your strength level and strength bonus which piety boosts along with potions and gear

Can someone explain the prayers swapping one to the right? I see them being switched one to the left in video even with the diagram
whatever prayer you click on, you will actually activate the prayer one to the right. So if you click protect mage, you will protect from missiles. If you pray range, you will protect from melee. If you pray melee, you will protect from mage.
ive probably tried this boss 50 times with scythe bandos setup and everytime I die during p2 or p2 pillars, its so easy to messup a prayer switch or get screwed by husks :/
Is your 12m an hour evaluation based on if you get a mace/ harm orb every 34 hours?
yah the wiki will give you a 7m hour solo calc. 12m seems pretty far off.

I got confused about this guide. It would have been easier to understand if you put some kind of pauses betheen phases or something. Its impossible to remember all of that. But still helpful guide :)
Today one should bring the saturated heart and the elidinis ward (f) which is fortified with the arcane sigil. These two increase your magic damage further. The shield is better than a single ancestral piece.

Agreed you can die to galvek to restore, didn't think of this. With fire cape I still find clan wars tele better than radas to bank because of the restore point
drops don't exist at nightmare lol, i have 550+ kc, 5 man and dou, never seen a drop other in mass, 39m down the drain.

I like the low droprate bosses, they keep things somewhat interesting, unlike something like vorkath where a kill will usually hit the average value

@@GnomonkeyRS i quit 3 months ago around 2220 total. It was bothering me a lot that whenever i trained my last skills (mining rc etc) I would be surrounded by bots and it made me feel like an idiot for playing. I still enjoy rs content but revs, bots, it just seems like its just shadier n shadier of a game.

You can do the nightmare on any world. Find a world where no one is doing it and start the boss. If no one is doing it, the nightmare will be on the ground before you go in.

Your wrong about missing a sleepwalker in a solo , you die no matter your hp
Dude he’s wrong about the gp/hr. it’s an rng boss. This boss Strictly depends on if you get a drop and which drop it is that you receive. Don’t listen to him. Solos take super long and profit here strictly relies on the uniques. Each solo costs around 200k gp in supplies after regular drops

@@bron2774 tbh my bank is about 400m but my POH has about 700m value in it. I sold my full arma and pegs in hopes for a drop here doing solos and I came out 250 dry. So yeah bro I’m -100m in debt there also you gotta add all the supplies I’ve used to get the 250 solos

Also I’m so burnt out but I’ll have to go back ofc to make the 5m gp/hr that osrs wiki says, even though I haven’t made anything and have spent well over 200 hours. I have faith it’ll even out over time

This boss (solo) is a lot harder than it looks. Id even say harder than corrupted gauntlet since the fight is so long. Those melees really catch you off guard and you get almost no time to react
after every hit protect melee since you have time to switch to protect magic/range.

I imagine with nightmare being this crowded as well as so many people soloing now the orb drops probably won't retain their value for long.
I mean, people have been saying this for the last several months, really. The boss has been out for 8 months, and after the first few months passed, the general consensus was that, "yeah, prices will drop soon as content gets older and easier to do" - but they've still decently maintained value. Inquisitor's armour is over 1bil, the Harm jumps between 1.4-1.6bil, Mace sitting around 800-1bil, etc.
@@Purush97 Yeah that's just because for now at least the supply hasn't outweighed the demand. But more and more are coming into the game every day and I don't imagine the population of players who need situational high lvl pvm gear is growing that rapidly
@@harrygarris6921 I mean, one of the main places that gear from Nightmare is used, is Nightmare itself. So the richer that the people who are getting into Nightmare get, the more demand for the high value gear from Nightmare is gonna get

@@Purush97 Yes but once one person attains inquisitor, they speed up their kills per hour, bringing even more supply of nightmare drops into the game with their now faster kills. On top of that, that's one less person who wants inquisitor, so the whole inquisitor set will be the reason for why its' own value drops.

Yep! Even then I probably wouldn't use it over mace as the addition to the cost is too high to justify even with how much money you make (unless all you want is pet)
QUICK QUESTION : How do you say this boss is 12m/hr? I have kc here and you shouldn’t be lying to these players about a boss this serious that takes this much time out of peoples lives. Guys DO NOT listen to this youtuber. Nightmare is strictly an rng boss. you can make money IF you hit a unique drop. The uniques are extremely rare here considering 1 solo takes 20minutes +. You can lose tons of money while wasting hundreds of hours here until you actually see a drop. This boss is not gp/hr, you either get the drop or you don’t
He legit said this is like the scratch off tickets of rs so obv he meant you wont get that much money/hr without uniques but when this was released the items were worth alot more, and on average if you were to do thousands of kc thats how much you would end up with

Even the wildy bosses you have to find a fault in the game to make them possible , runescape needs to add bosses for people who dont have a week to learn where to stand and click , seems like your having to find bugs to get kills.
