It counts when you start the fight and tells you when to swap prayers, also has a button that allows you to input if you got trampled or not!

Also make sure you alch the corrupted capes you are getting, they alch for 12K each, that's an extra 50-60K an hour :)

You should use True tile indicator, the model is very behind if you move back n forth. Check my video on sepulcre
something that was pointed out to me, you do not need to fill the vials at the pump in spawn, the fishing pools work too, allowing you to make the potions on the move and save time

Faux listed this in one of his streams to help someone and I figured I'd give some tips at least for more max combat accounts or some people more daring at lower stats to do more efficient runs. Anyone who needs my credentials I'm ~Rank 130 in KC and my PB is sub 7 minutes.
You can still be fine with just 2 prayer pots. You can do the fight with 20 food maybe even a little less so there's no need to juggle food at the stove. AKA Only fishing from 3 ponds/having 12 fish after the first run through is enough to start.
Any perfected weapon is fine. Of course the staff isn't great at all, however I have been able to get 3 minute boss kills with the staff and hally (which is all RNG, but still doable).
When doing your first run through you should go to the edge of the dungeon in that C formation and check the 3 rooms nearest to the starting area and see if there's any demi-bosses there. If there is (assuming you're fine with any perfected weapon for the boss) you can craft the weapon matching the boss you found to save time. Doing this can also spawn you supplies you may be struggling to find.
Speaking of, if in that C motion around the starting area if you're struggling to find any supplies still there's 2 things you can do. If you get a crystal TP shard from a minion kill you can run as far as you like to find your remaining supplies and TP back while still having 1 remaining TP crystal for your perfected weapon search. The other method is to run around the boss room from the left or right of the starting area which doesn't take you too far away from the starting area and should definitely get you the supplies you need.
I can probably list of 20 more things, but I felt these were some big things I felt could help people as they get along in KC. Good luck, great guide.

Another tip: If using the runelite client, mark the hunllef with the "NPC indicator and put the "Highlight style on "tile". That makes it easier to avoid walking under him.

Took me 3 days to beat corrupted consistently. Some tips that helped me besides the basics.
Hunleff starts on range so pray range
Mark hunleff’s tiles in runelite
Try to enter the room when he is in a corner, making dodging lava tiles easier
Learn how to dodge tornadoes in a small area (4x4 squares) so avoiding bad lava tile positions is easier.
Once your tornado dodging is down try to make it so you’re constantly attacking while dodging, having no downtime

Mark the ground tiles that are 3 spaces infront of each exit. These tiles have pretty good positioning to avoid most lava formations.

How do you avoid tornados in a 4x4 area? Just run round in a square? Move diagonally?
@@kakron8270 Both work, but a square is easier. And its all about timing. Knowing when your player is on the tile you are moving to. OSRS will show your character a few steps behind so you need to kind of predict when the game actually considers you on the tile you selected to move to

Nice guide, just started grinding this after the update, got pet at 32 KC, looking for the blade now. Side note, I died like 30 times before getting my first C kill, now i'm 113 kc and die much less often sitting at 113 completions 83 deaths but i'm going positive now. Some advanced tips from a fairly pro gauntlet completer:
1) when you get the "smaller square" floor pattern in final phase, it's best to run between the corners of the safe square, this path is also a safe path around another floor pattern in the phase
2) if you don't have the smaller square pattern, running around the edges of the map is often a good route to avoid the hot tiles
3) in the final phase during tornados you should generally focus your attention solely on eating and running while avoiding hot tiles, don't be tempted to try and sneak attacks in during the final phase, while it does work it can result in a death if you fuck up
4) if one of your weapons is a halberd, ensure auto retaliate of OFF, otherwise it can pull you onto hot tiles and kill you if you have staff/bow, keeping it ON can cause you to hit a free hit in when you're otherwise occupied running around
5) for most players, it's best to just get T1 armor and the first 2 weapons of the bosses you come across - this saves time. Before you're good you should only use staff and bow and T2 armor. these are easier to use
6) when using the halberd, never rely on the default pathing to move your to hunlef unless there is a clear safe line, the pathing can behave unpredictability so you should always manually run to the tile next to him before you attack, it's also not consistent whether you can attack from 1/2 tiles away, so don't assume, just stand next to his tile markers and you'll be in range.
There's a lot more but this is too long.
I've literally done everything possible. I can send out 500 attacks hunleffs way and hit MAYBE 25 of them. I should note that I do have the correct weapons, corrupted, I'm 99range, 93 mage, 95att, 99str. There is absolutely no reason I should be able to survive hunllef for 8 minutes constantly attacking, and still run through all of my food and be LUCKY to get him into the 3rd phase. This mini-game is the sole reason I've been playing the game lately and its infuriating that jagex made it EXTREMELY reliant on rng. It requires so much skill to even have a chance at rolling a good rng to complete it. They won't be getting any more of my money. They've stolen enough from me.
@@kristopherpark8935 I dont play OSRS anymore, you're not right about the gauntlet - it can be completed with like 90-95% consistency by most people with practice and worse stats than you.
Although I agree it is very frustrating and in my opinion too hard for the wrong reasons making it pretty unfun when you lose. It relies on the retarded 1999 pathing mechanics which dont make sense along with floor patterns designed to work badly around these mechanics to be hard. It also relies on you being able to sometimes do like 3 things at once, and have pretty excellent ping or you are dead.
I would encourage you to stop playing OSRS, it's not a fun game and relies solely on human desire to achieve and progress to tempt you into mindlessly repeating a menial task loop for 100s of hours to gain nothing of any actual value in real life. There are games which are actually fun to play in and of themselves - go play them.

I made my account when I was getting back into osrs since my childhood, and I grinded my account to get ready for SotE because I always wanted to enter the city since I was a child, but now I have to grind it further to do all the content in the city
nice vid. I haven't tried gauntlet myself yet as I need to get rigour first (btw), but wanted to point out something I don't think you mentioned and I read in the strategy guide on the wiki. You can just bring a tier 2 staff instead of the hally. Then attack 5 times with the bow, and once with the staff. Then 5 attacks with the bow again and unequip to kick once. This way you're using the bow most of the time and it's supposedly higher dps overall. Seems like an advanced method for people who've mastered all the other elements of the fight, but worth pointing out. Loved the vid and your informative sounding voice, keep it up
That's actually genius, would make this much higher effort but definitely would make kills way faster. You usually have enough shards to craft a staff at the end of a run anyway.
Would be very punishing if you forgot to swap your weapon, would be worth bringing the halberd as well while learning this

Well, relaxing for me is being able to enjoy other content while I do the content, and even Vorkath you can't look at a different screen, you might as well do something a bit harder for more money anyway. With this it would be hard to even listen to a podcast while fighting the boss though haha

@@austinblazys8034 Hold shift and right click, this pulls up the "tag" option, although for some reason it seems to reset each gauntlet if you do it this way. Try throwing "corrupted hunllef" into npc indicators to make it permanent.
Honestly, I just started doing the regular Gauntlet last week. It's actually a ton of fun, and the most enjoyable experience I've had on OSRS in a long time.
Billiam Billiamson what is fun on OSRS I played for a year cb 95 and quit the good content is only end game you okay for months to have fun which never came for me. I tried rs3 I have an old account and I had fun after the learning curve it’s amazing

FYI prifddinas means first city and hunllef means nightmare
Welsh is pretty tough for us native english speakers, luckily Jagex has pronunciations published on most of Prifddinas or I would be equally stumped!
I find it helps to highlight the ground the hunleff stands on that way you see which tiles will stomp you
the staff is actually very useful, not for dps from the staff but overall dps
The 5:1 method focuses on manipulating the Hunllef's overhead switches to allow you to maximise your time spent DPSing with your Tier 3 Bow. The player uses their Tier 3 Bow for the first 5 attacks then alternates between mage/melee on the 6th attack to ensure that the boss never uses Protect from Missiles. Here is an example:
● Hunllef begins the fight by using Protect from Melee
● The player does 5 bow attacks then 1 staff attack
● The Hunllef switches to Protect from Magic
● The player does 5 bow attacks then 1 kick
● The Hunllef switches to Protect from Melee
● Rinse and repeat
also before u start use vengeance and try to avoid taking damage.
and use prayer protection + redemption combo to avoid the need of losing ticks

You learn a lot about how your character moves, get better clicks in stressful situations, when to dps and when to eat, i learned a lot from corrupted gauntlet and i got way better at pvming on my journey there
Great guide, got 4 corrupted kc on my 1 def pure. The fight is super rng reliant when it comes to doing enough damage on the boss to kill it by the time I'm out of food

Really good elaborate guide. Not sure why making T2 armor is so discouraged though, I found getting hit way less often with the set and not needing more than 20 food, even though sometimes ending up with T2 bow or halberd. It seems harder to me to consistently find two correct demibosses (or killing 3) than just getting extra resources. Also, I found getting hit way too much in T1 set causing me more downtime being able to hit the boss, which can be quite deadly in phase 3 eventually getting a harder tile/tornado layout.
Faster dps > better armor, if it helps you to get t2 armor go for it, but you can't consistently get a full set of armor because of RNG. With 25 fish 2 pots a t3 halberd and t3 bow you can consistently beat hunllef without many mistakes with only t1 armor. Keep in mind the armor doesn't boost dps/accuracy at all, only reduces his max hit.

IMO lvl 2 armor and lvl 2 bow/hally are the most effecient for me gauntlet armor does have attack bonuses and prayer bonuses also reduces dmg from boss if u have full armor set of same tier
Attention!!! Verry important thing you have done wrong in this vid! Using halberd make sure you choose attack style "swipe\slash", it hits 0.5 tick faster and does 1 max hit more ower jab as it done in this vid. This is important!
I feel like its more accurate aswell. I'm not sure if this is true because the wiki says its the same defence.
The boss's deffence same to all styles, but somehow, halberd works with different offence on styles. Such as slash gives an extra max hit.
just how rng dependent is corrupted as far as demi boss spawns? im practicing on regular trying to chip my time down to sub 7:30s prep and it feels like rng is playing a huge factor in the times, am i just shit? PS. ive also been following your system of the "C" around the spawn room ect.
That's the most rng dependent part of the run, if you play it right you can still always make it to the boss on time though. When you are fighting a demiboss you can take time between attacks to check the other rooms, shaves some time off of runs.
75 att, 93 str, 74 def, 99 range, 77 prayer ain't going to stop me from trying this

I’m mobile only and took me 6 tries to kill regular gauntlet because I still had no idea how to make the best armor I wish there wasn’t a timer so I can take my time to search all the rooms and make the best armor but I will try the corrupted gauntlet tomorrow hopefully I can get better and make this my number one boss I can camp and not grow boredom

Hey, its a great video you made. but i have few nit-picks if you don't mind.
you really shouldn't discourage player that have no rigour to do it. i my self whit low 90 stats and lack of rigour/ augury and i can do it just fine, just took longer to learn
there really no need for 3 prayer potions. i only have 90 stats and only 80 prayer and i never need more than 5 doses
also potion does not restore flat 30 as you said it just like normal prayer potion, it restores based on your prayer lvl.
also mid lvl monster ( wolves scorpions and unicorns) do not always drop weapon frame, as you mentioned.
the staff is REALLY not that bad. it does have lover max hit and it is less accurate, but compered to bow it has 1tick faster speed (which is a lot) and compered with halberd it has range. so if you are running low on time or just wanna do faster runs, and you gotten the orb, just make staff and fight boss.
i also belive that tornado count threshold is the same as the switch to damaging floor pattern at 666hp and 333hp
and his ''male'' trample attack happens not if you are under him for too long but at the same rate at his normal attacks. which means u can get hit if you get under him for a single game tick if his attack cooldown is of and if he is just starting his attack animation u can run under him for few ticks and actually position him into one of the corner which helps a lot in in last phase by giving you much more ground to dodge tornadoes.

Im getting to the boss comfortably from this guide, but im taking so much damage from his regular attacks with only level 1 armour, but i feel like i have no time to go get the supplies for level 2 armour. This boss is hard man, fuck.

You don't actually need to keep the orb in your inventory, every boss drops t3 upgrades that don't exist on the map yet.

@@GnomonkeyRS also it always changes prayer to whatever your 5th hit is even if its on prayer. You can abuse that to only dps with bow and just use a tier 1 staff to keep the prayer mage

Im brand new to the gauntlet, but I did realize that you don’t actually have to pick up the orb when you kill a dragon. I leave mine on the ground and the next duplicate demiboss skips orb regardless.
pick it up and drop before the other demi boss dies? that way, you don't run back
jimmy b. No i mean u dont need the orb so you never pick it up. This may not be the case with the staff update when the staff is actually good.
FYI you can get tier 2 armor with 95% success rate. Same pattern but collect 9 of each resource, do 3 runs instead of two, make an extra tele crystal and kill 2 medium minions for shards. You won't have time to make sure you get the weapons you want but you'll be Able to get tier 3 each time.. I usually still have 30sec to 1 mom left and have done 250 kc.
This is true if you are really fast with decent rng, although he can be defeated consistently with t1 armor so it's more efficient to just use that
@@GnomonkeyRS I find that kills are more consistent with tier 2 since I fuck up a lot during the fight and the tier 2 armor saves my ass regularly lol.

Just started learning this fight, stats are 91, 93, 90 (attk, str, def) with 96 hp, 93 range and 90 mage. I have 74 prayer with rigour, but everytime I get to the last phase I get destroyed by the lightning+constant floor changes and i get myself trapped, any tips?
I noticed you didn't mention being able to smuggle veng in. Do you find it not too important?
One veng isn't going to make or break a run, definitely handy though
Most of the time you’ll get damaged before you get to the boss and even if you manage to get to the boss with your veng you’re praying range on his first few attacks so he won’t hit very hard

I always despised gorillas maybe I should try that there, look kind of silly when anyone walks passed my room but the gp is worth it hahaha
I use a repeating 12 second timer so I can focus on counting my own attacks. As long as you don't get meleed it won't desync
How do you get the "press enter to chat" thing in osrs? I thought that was only rs3
That's in key remapping, when you turn on WASD camera it turns on enter to chat too!

The staff is splash city. It feels like you are hitting the boss with a wet noodle

Definitely couldn't hurt, great practice for all things PVM!
Inferno is more about luring and dealing with different spawns/having to flick prayers with less total room for error and a huge time investment. Gauntlet is being able to manage inventory, reacting to rng in floor layouts, limited time, and dealing with a mechanically intensive boss. The one big overlap they share is intensity in my opinion. Best inferno practice is well, jumping right into the Inferno.
The armour does have attack bonuses though, just not damage. O.o
What's your ranged and melee stats? regarding the Hunllef's defence, it has 20 across the board according to the wiki.. so the only downside to going mage is the lack of dmg boost from augury.
97 magic when I recorded, magic's accuracy calculations work differently in that it takes the monsters magic defence and their magic level into account. Hunllef has 240 magic so even with his low magic defence he still has a very high chance to splash on
@@GnomonkeyRS Damn, i totally forgot about that! Tried going bow & hally but I just can't seem to beat it with that setup, meleeing with all that shit going on is hard as hell lol. The staff is way more forgiving and easier to DPS with. Honestly, it feels like i splash more with melee than magic. I've got 96 magic, 98 ranged - 94 str, 91 att & 90 def. Not sure if I should just suck it up and keep trying with the hally..
I promise you staff is worse but yeah Hally is pretty tough to get used to, just keep in mind you have extra tiles of range with it
Honestly, now that i think about it, it feels like I splash all the time even with the bow and 98 ranged :| And like you said, it's the hardest shit I've tried in RS, it's had me fuming more than a couple of times lol :D
@@GnomonkeyRS I think my main problem with hally is that I've been trying to dps hunllef with it during the tornado phase, might as well try to just eat up and make sure i dont get hit by them during that phase :)
How bad is it with base 85’s but 70 prayer. I have SOTE done but not 90 herb yet for cox, only 80. I would camp raids 1 if 90 herb didnt feel so far away

Crystal armour seed drops are pretty common and worth 3m. this bumps up gp per hr without sword to 2m per hr or thereabout
Yeah the armor seed drops are juicy. On average at their current value you will receive 42m in seeds before the sword.
@@GnomonkeyRS still struggling to complete corrupted my best attempt so far i got him to 46 hp. Do you recommend getting 90 def and/or 90 str before trying to grond it out? Currently 85/85/85/87 atk/str/def/range. i have rigour and planning to chin to 90 range also just cant afford to chin defence so gonna take a while in nmz
@@saltontoast If you can tell you are making some mistakes I would just keep practicing. A standard kill for me will leave me with half an inv of food, and I have 90 attack 89 defence. Try to make sure you are always attacking him with the right weapon, it's a tough dps race!
@@saltontoast Had a thought, the most useful skill you could train is probably ranged, as most of the dps comes from the bow, do that if the kill times are taking over 5 min but you aren't making many mistakes
@@GnomonkeyRS I don't make many mistakes anymore but I still struggle to keep attacking during tornado phase. I will keep trying thanks for advice. I really feel normal gauntlet is absolute garbage as blade is 1/2000 and u will pretty much never get it lol.

@@Auxytocin I hit while moving, setup is as follows. t1 helm/body/legs. t3 hasta and bow. 25 food and, 2 - 4 dose pots. I feel like I'm doing it right because I get the boss to 100 hp or under very consistently but then just run out of supplies
Stats? If you are consistently hitting him and switching prayers correctly you should have plenty of food
Probably bad luck like me :/ I can only hit 0's almost the whole fight. While he's hitting nonstop 10-13 every hit. Nothing much you can do if you are dodging correctly and getting in as many hits as possible.
@@Geometric_Atom Either your stats aren't high enough or you aren't swapping your damage prayers like you need to (piety/rigour). If you don't swap those prayers you are screwing yourself on accuracy - it's really not a luck thing for being able to complete it.

I made 30m there from camping it for a few hours. Well over drop rate on the armor seeds yet really wanna hit that blade drop. some guy got it on 70 kc while I was sitting there, dick in hand, with 88 kc.

Damn this game has turned sweaty, wouldn't call it old school anymore. Anyone have a more casual mmo to recommend?
That is a really sad way of thinking and I am genuinely sorry you feel that way. Jagex adds pieces of content like the inferno and corrupted gauntlet, not expecting the entire playerbase to participate in it, but intend for it to be a goal for players to work towards and for skilled players to enjoy. It sounds like MMOs in general aren't for you, as they will constantly be updated and more challenging content will always be added no matter the game.
Everything that is added into the game is voted on in player polls that MUST have a 75% Yes vote to pass. If the game was forever stuck in the vanilla 2007scape base launch with NO updates, I assure you the playerbase would most definitely not be like it is today. You wanna just be limited to GWD as the only high end boss content in the game? Not me. Want a casual game? Go play minecraft and build a dirt house my friend. Piss off mate.
