Wow! Was not ready for that ending. For a brief moment, I thought you were revving the engine. That bad boy is possessed!
My NA6 probably needs this replacement. Thank you for not skipping the part where you coax the hoses off. A lot of instructional videos do that.
HOWdy M-M,
Thanks for Part # 3

I chased a crazy idle for a couple of weeks. It was the engine temp sensor. It causes some weird things to happen when bad. The CAS o ring goes bad a leaks oil down on it. 20 bucks, it's worth a shot.
Great information 👍
I traced the problem and fixed it today. Watch for the conclusion in episode 6 😎
OMG Miata Man, I’m beginning to think this Miata is possessed 🤣
Check your 02 sensors their known to do this as well.
That should flash a code
For me a used airvalve was the solution to a high te ving idle. (2000rpm)
Revving
Could you please make a quick video about a blinking airbag light in the miata
Or if you already did can you send the link
Part 4 coming up!
4, 5 and 6 👍 solved ✅
Do you think it is something with the Air flow meter? Maybe the engine computer goes into a default strategy when you had the IAC disconnected? Seems like the ECU is trying to over compensate for something?
You are on the right track. I solved it today and put it in to episode 5/6.
I was just thinking about that
What happened to video 4?
It's kinda a long shot but check the seal from cross over to throttle bottle, those plastic "teeth" are easily misaligned.
Had you calibrated the tps?
Nope. It wasn’t needed in this case.
