It doesn'tmatter what anyone says is the top 5 coolest this or that, you know in your heart that Your Bike IS the coolest of them all.
There’s way cooler bikes than mine!
So true every one thinks that there bike is a rocket ship
@@bennettweber9318 not me but once the one I ordered finally gets delivered then yes
Yes mate 🤘!
Truth!
Thanks for featuring the Bold Linkin, theres barely any content for it on CZcams. That bike is absolutely beautiful - the Unplugged Volume 2 from them is equally as stunning.
That Bold Linkin looks very interesting! Thank you for a quick view on these trail bikes.
I got my vitus mythique in 2020 and I've been loving it and doing some upgrades. So cool to see the Escarpe on this list!
Another great Vid! Unfortunately I fell in love both with the Stumpi and the Bold and cannot decide which to choose 😬
@doddy, hey mate great videos, however, it's kind of tough to find a bike that's not good nowadays. How about doing a video of "why do we still have these in the MTB world?" May be a fun project to get the bike industry to pay closer attention.
Love this Top 5 series! Keep em comin'
Enduro and DH coming up!
I love my cube stereo ❤️
Merry Christmas guys 🎄🔥
Do you have any tokens in your rear shock? I find the rear travel very linear making the bike quite easy to “bottom out” with the sag set at 30%.
Merry Christmas!
@@Cal-Mac Had the same feeling on my cube stereo 150. Put more tokens in my rockshox ultimate damper, but i was not able to find a good setting. Then i decided to install the megneg update. In my oppinion it feels much better now. The rear wheel is much more stable and follows the ground way better than before. In my opinion it is the best update you can do on the cube stereo.
Excellent list of bikes!
Cheers Tim!
Great video, interesting bikes.
Just built up a Privateer 141 and loving it. Not as light as alot of the bikes mentioned here but great for all day mountain rides.
Currently deciding between the stumpy or the 141. Honestly I can’t chose!
@@nacnud2323 that's a difficult one. My take on it is the 141 is a little more slanted to enduro. I built mine from frame up to tailor it to my needs. I also liked the Vitus escarpe but availability was non existent at the time.
Worrying about weight is for xc riders, just makes your legs stronger and the bike feels more stable on descents!
I would consider the Canyon Spectral CFR (the most expensive Spectral0 as an enduro bike because of the longer travel and mullet setup, which is commonly seen on enduro bikes and downhill bikes. However, the carbon frame puts in in between enduro and trail, so it's kinda in its own category. So its just a race bike.
Wow sheeesh that Bold is probably the pinnacle of what I would want in a trail bike, that would rip any trail up and look so good doing it
I just got a Propain Hugene. Incredible bike if you like poppy and playful rather than point and plough .
I love GMBN and their style. But for these Top 5 clips, I would raise the question of neutrality vs sponsorship. Propain, YT, Santa Cruz, Yeti... those aren't bikes furnished to GMBN, or not seen during the season clips. Were they in the game for this evaluation? Are these the top 5 from all those they tested? From a larger sampling? Top 5 from sponsors? This should be made a bit more clear when choosing a Top 5. Don't get me wrong, I am not against sponsoring.
^^^
Great video . take care HAVE A GREAT AN HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would say that Propain bikes should be on every top 5 list.. the looks and the performance for the price you get are just unbeatable
Can't remember GMBN ever even mentioning Propain
Bold is beautiful. Looking forward to get it 😀
It seems to me that most MTB all are all excellent these days. I am a bit cautious about labels such as 'light trail' or 'enduro', all these bikes seem ready to smash it down the mountain. Quick internet search and comparison with other enduro styles, seems to be about 1kg difference in weight from the 'enduro' end. (Vitual looks awesome and good value, but you can get a longer travel 'enduro' for the same weight in other bikes, so is the Vitual 'light trail' or 'enduro'?)
Vitus Escarpe 29 CRX Mountain Bike (2021) - 150 mm travel - 14.3 kg
Canyon Spectral - 150 mm travel - 13.28 kg
Specialized Stumpjumper Evo - 160mm - 14.5 kg
Top Fuel 8 NX - Top Fuel 8 fuses the lightweight efficiency of a cross country bike with the capability and forgiveness of a full suspension trail bike - 120 mm travel - M - 13.66 kg
Remedy 8 - Enduro 27.5 - .. for popping off jumps, railing corners and throwing the bike around - 160 mm travel - M - 14.25 kg
Slash 7 - Enduro 29 - Slash is a long-travel trail bike built for big all-mountain terrain - 170 mm travel - 15.08 kg
SCOTT Ransom 920 - Enduro - 170mm travel - 15.95 kg (with tubes)
Every angle and measurement apart from weight, be really useful to have weights included in these non-ride type reviews
Even better would be real weights.
@@b-manz I don't think they have even seen these bikes though, never mind ride them
@@eunos1800 true. A scale on video to show real weight with the manufacturer is possible but likely not popular.
they're mainly showing bike-brands that paid them to do so anyway, so why add weight? For an unbiased opinion, I'd recommend pinkbike or non-sponsered youtubers.
Stumpy Evo 🔥
I love my bike... The Orbea Occam, I think it is an extremely well rounded bike!!!!
It would be great to see more independent riding reviews of the Bold (outside of Mike's Bikes who are the exclusive dealer) is GMBN planning on doing one?
Hello everyone from Belfast City Ireland 🇮🇪 have a great 2022.. yes some nice bikes. Thanks for the information 👍🏻
Like that Uno also but yeah it's pretty nice that Bold Linkin
How about the Instinctiv’s gearbox optional trigger shifter and full carbon.
The Bold and Monraker are my favorites
I picked up whyte t160rs and I love it
Bold design reminded me of the old Scott Endorphin carbon hardtail from years ago
Rolling a 2021 Specialized Stumpjumper Comp Carbon 29 in stealth black...... dope, and pretty perfect for Petoskey, MI, USA! Daddy, I still have to send you a picture of my one-off Syncros cane. :)
Great video - thank you very much for the time & effort you all put into these :-)
Hopefully someday i will also see more german brands at your channel - like Liteville or Cube
Keep on with this great kind of content - cheers from Austria :-)
CANYON Neuron ❤
YZ Izzo is just as pretty as the Bold Linkin and falls in same category
I'd love to see a Norco in one of these lists; I much rather my Norco Sight over my wife's stump jumper
Cannondale Habit 1 for me. Used to have a 1996 Klein Attitude, sadly stolen.
I expected a Santacruz bike in the mix like the Hightower. Maybe make a review of it.
Agree with the spectral hell of a bike for that kind of money
Have you guys ever talked about the new Pivot Switchblade?
Where’s the love for the Orbea OCCAM?
Even though i own a carbon bike( yt jeffsy comp) I still revert back to my aluminium canyon... I just feel more care free that if i do take a hit, it wont hurt my wallet as much
Can you guys review some bikes that are available in europe? Like Kellys, Thorx, Gt, etc?
well a santa cruz 5010 is a beautiful bike too
you got the suspenion travel on the canyon spectral wrong. All Modells have a 160mm Fork and a 150mm Back.
Great videos but typically focusing in on these big name, brands. I'd love to see some more focus on DTC brands
I think the SC Bronson or Hightower could be on this list.
Top 5 hardtails please?
Yes at last that would be good
So is the non-Evo Stumpjumper all forgotten these days?
I guess if the video would be called "best bike value for money", it would be much different list of top 5 bikes))
Alchemy Arktos 120. Check it out for the price its a great bike
Forgot ibis ripley and ripmo and transition bikes as well
Canyon spectral ....is the best
BOLD woo woooow
Weights?
What about the Commencal Meta TR Race 29?
Nice bikes ;) i have cheap trail Bike too
Cannondale Habit
Nicolai Bikes 💯
coolest hardtrails
I like my Yeti SB 150
Polygon T8
*Down Country* bikes have become popular because 90% of riders are Over-Travelled 😵💫😵💫
I Need A DoAll Got a CF Warden 160/155 😎 ITS AWESOME Ride It Daily
Sorry but the welding on that spesh is awful especially on the section that attaches to the top tube. Colour combo is an acquired taste too.
Honestly whole bike looks fugly with that asimetric frame design...
@@bitumen83 what do you think of the orbea rallon and orbea occam?
@@deterrentdubz9116 same shit different package... 😆
Looks like a Session
Focus jam
PIVOT TRAIL 429 ENDURO and non ENDURO.
Are there any available for a reasonable price?
Nope
Trek fuel Ex 5 is lowest good, full suspension I could find in U.S. All of Treks prices increased recently but this one is at 2,600$
@@danielhicks5031 Great, I'll just remortgage my house. Give me a sec.
MonDraker
Canyon I think
you know what guys....no idea...there all frellin nice !
Kona Honzo ESD
Trek fuel ex!
DH next pls
Enduro and DH coming up!
@@gmbntech Any hardtails boss???
Dont care what you say it's only a trail bike if it's in the fox 34 rx pike categories if it has 36 Harris lyrics or anything else it's an enduro
Were r trek n Scott
Bold are owned by Scott, but Scott or Trek didn't make this list!
@@gmbntech agreed
Treks Fuel Ex line up was almost identical to the first bike u showed I think
The romantic idea that the coolest bike is the one that gets you riding is cute but not really true.
Stop being mushy, we all know the coolest bike is one that is way out of your budget and has all the best modern bells and whistles. It’s okay to be skint 😂
Any bike costing more than $750 better have a motor! Any bike over $2000 better have wings!
What about radon bike ?
No love for a Yeti or Santa Cruz?
Opinion over the new canyon neuron anyone?
I always recommend the upper level of Trail bikes or a budget enduro for riders just entering the sport. They offer easy riding but good DH properties allowing a newbie to figure out how they want to ride. I've seen a good friend fork out for a Myst DH only to fall out of love with it because getting to the trails was a slog and riding the technical felt slow and cumbersome. I've met guys who barely escaped injury after making the mistake of buying an affordable XC bike and being under-biked on their trails. The middle ground is definitely the best compromise.
Absolutely! Coming into mountain biking is great when you've got a trail or enduro bike. They provide the best amount of stability to help gain confidence. 👍
How tall is it
how about hardtails
Stumpy always…
Commencal meta TR 29 looks "cooler" than all of these imo, at least better than the first 4.
Just built one up. I am hearing you. Looks super with high polished!
where's yeti and Santa Cruz lol
Bikes have gotten soooo expensive and now hard to find. So, whatever you are currently riding is the best bike available.
But mine goes to 11.
Why no gearbox bikes? Zerode make what is likely the fastest trail bike downhill. .
META TR 29
Canyon Spectral 29 CF 160/150mm travel and LO setting has a 66° head angle - not 64,5°.
Not true , in low setting it has 64 with 160mm fox
@@joeblack4026 that’s what I’m trying to say… 😊
160mm front 150mm rear = 160/150mm
Obviously ya forgot to mention these bikes are for those that can shell-out a few thousand. Just because they have the "Cool," factor, is not reason enough to purchase'em. Then again, those that have that kinda money, really don't care what they purchase.
Evil Offering !
Why don’t people talk about value bikes? Other than the canyon spectral people act like value bikes are obsolete
🤟🤟🤟
The Coolest Bike, Is the bike that gets you out there riding.
Everything functions properly czcams.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Nothing was damaged in the box aside from a decal on the fork. The decal was missing a piece of a corner but I ended up peeling them off anyways. Assembly is easy BUT make sure you tune up the derailleurs. Both the front and rear need adjusting. I'd advise going to a bike shop but I opted out and put in 10+ hours with the help of CZcams. Ended up fraying a shifter cable but all in all I learned from the experience. The Brakes work well but the front caliper needs adjusting or at least mine did because the rotor was rubbing against the pads. Make sure you swap out the seat, grips, and pedals. For the short run you'll be fine though. I've read that this bike isn't built yet for hard trails but I just need it for the city. PA has some of the worst roads and being in a mountain this was a great choice. Worth the investment!
Parece ser que los de que no hablamos ingles no merecemos subtítulos en castellano
not one hardtail in a list of trail bikes.. much less a rigid mtb.
Yep bit gutted too about that. Blake should do one lol
I must be the only one that doesn't like the Bold bike
Probably. That thing is beautiful.
can't see mine, impossible.
