get purple beam. save infront of purple beam, find a 4 or 5 star ditto, save infront of it and then try and catch it. If you catch it check its ivs, if it has 5 or 6 perfects then youre good. if not reset your game and then cycle through at least 4 dittos by skipping day exploit
Small correction. 1/32 chance of a 6IV, not 31. The IV ranges from 0-31. That's 32 values.

Are we even sure it's that? For sun/moon 6IV SOS chaining was a method going around and it turned out that getting the 4 max IVs did not increase your chances at higher IV pokes.

Saying you can get 6IV ditto in raid is no different from saying you can get 6IV ditto in grass. Both are the same (i.e. random chance) and depend on luck. At least if you say "4 or more perfect IVs" it sets a more reasonable explanation for the audience in knowing what to expect (i.e. what is guaranteed vs what is not) when they wanna watch the video.

ok i watched about 3 diff things on to where to get ditto and your the only one who stopped and taken the time to run to what den it was from the starting point where everyone can know and find easyer. the wild place in this game with all the dens and the weather ever changing makes it hard for me to tell what way is what so i really do love how you taken the time to stop and think about that for others let alone taken the time to even put in what be the best way to take down the pokemon and so on so thx so vary much!

If everyone uses Zamazenta, Zacian, or Eternitus the Ditto can't transform into them. Then you just beat it down quickly. Save a lot of time and effort. This ONLY works in Raids not in the wild.
Oh right! I forgot Galar's legendaries can't Dynamax, so a D-Max Ditto's kinda screwed against them! Even better, it'll only be able to use Max Guard at best, or a completely useless Transform at worst!
I can say from personal exp that the checking method is fairly safe. I’ve done it countless times and have yet to encounter an issue.
Joe Kelly not to mention that if you play competitive pokemon, you most likely have switch online and cloud saving anyways

About the corrupted data, it is possible if you exit the game while saving (when you do raid spamming, you exit slow text in order to quit before the save)
I’ve done it literally hundreds if not thousands of times. Doing it correctly can’t possibly corrupt your save file but sure, if you mess up royally and are incredibly unlucky you can mess up your save file...that being said, I do it on fast text speed so slowing the text speed down there is really no excuse to mess it up..
You can also help others farm this if you turn off auto save and close the game after you beat it with friends... they will get the ditto and tell you what it is and if it's 5 or 6IV you can potentially spam that one ditto for more easy captures by friends who can trade it to you afterwards

The whole point is that you're using friends to tell you the stats of the ditto and then resetting so that you can replay that SAME DITTO to let others farm it and get those SAME stats... which is exactly what you said it is.. FIXED Stats.... who doesn't want to farm a 5-6 IV Ditto over and over?
There is a way you can hunt ditto with only one wishing piece.
Change your text speed to slow, throw in a wishing piece...
the beam appears before the save is complete,
If red, exit the game and close it then re-open it and do it over until you find a purple beam in that specific raid den you shown us

Took me about 30 restarts to find the ditto. I used that other method, didnt know it was risky until you said it.
After three days trying the method, I finally got Ditto 5ivs

Broken raid glitch + perfect iv dittos, I smell something cooking
It is actually 1/1024 for a 6 iv. Now, while that seems like a lot, it isn't. Prior to this it was either too grindy to go after or the odds were much worse. Bear in mind that some people go for shinies which have much worse odds than this. The reason the odds are so high is because the ditto is only guaranteed 4 IVs. In all the raids I've done, I've only gotten a 6iv once, but it was manetric.
exxlppm yes it is 1/1024 this is how i calculated the chance, with a 5 star raid it guarantees 4iv’s and 1/31 chance for each leftover stat. So for it to be a 6iv ditto the chance is 1/32*1/32 which equals 1/1024

Yeah, it's a pretty low chance. I've been doing the exploit and it took awhile till I found a 5IV Ditto. Still on the grind for a 6IV Ditto.
Shiny Steve no, they were listening, as was i. “have a chance” ≠ “guarantee” so it’s a contradictory & misleading statement, purposeful or not. “guarantee” in this instance would mean “it will always spawn at least 5iv dittos & never 4iv dittos.” i’m now assuming he meant “have a chance to spawn” and not “will always spawn” so he just shouldn’t have used the word “guarantee” & should have said “have a 0.45% chance” or whatever the actual rate is. still, it’s annoying because it’s not a thorough or accurate or -good- video in that he doesn’t even nod to the extremely low rate or acknowledge at all in the video that the overwhelming majority of 5-star gold max raid dittos are only 4ivs. now we know. but it does a disservice to viewers not to let us know these things outright. :)

I got a perfect one after like 9 hours
I got a perfect one after like 3 hours. I was literally going to stop after that last ditto (well least that's what I told myself for the 5th time or so lol) I almost couldn't believe my eyes. I was just trying to get another 5 IV ditto because I got one that had everything perfect but speed and I wanted another that would be better for breeding sweepers and then I got a 6 IV one. I saved my game file like 3 times after that lol. They must make it easier to find in sword and shield though because sun and moon it was literally almost impossible
@@francismcfadden3305 did you go on a raid galore or did you just look for it in the grass? Cause I myself am trying to get a perfect one...but I only managed to get a 4 IVs Ditto after like an hour
@@JohnDoe-dj3lw raids. I did that trick where if you don't see the purple beam then immediately hit the home button and close the game (do that at your own risk and look up a more detailed discussion of doing it before you decide you're ok with doin it yourself. Never had a problem with it myself though.) And then after you get the purple beam to get the 5 star (which at the least guarantees a 4 IV ditto) hit the home button after hitting invite others and change the day ahead by one day until you get a five star. If you're not using that method you're probably gonna take forever to find even a five iv one. But then again I don't know what the odds are because I'm pretty sure I just got lucky haha

Little thing I do when farming for a specific pokemon: When you throw a Wishstone in there and dont have the right pokemon, just go search for other players, menu, and then set the day of your switch one day forwards. Than go back into the game, cancel the search, and the beacon will have refreshed. Saves a lot of wishsones and you get a lot of Watt with it
Pixel only works when the beacon is purple. Otherwise the beacon will stay red and you cant get a ditto, right?
@@ace_broken6077 right, this metod does not reset the pool, it only resets the pokemon chosen within the pool you get (red = standard pool, purple = rare pool), wich is good if you're lucky enough to get a purple den without wasting too many wishing pieces

So the whole technique of saving before a den, turning text speed to slow, throwing wishing piece and closing game fast if it’s not purple can corrupt your save??? I think that is what 99 percent of people are doing 🤷♂️

Yeah it can't corrupt your save. At least, no one has ever had there save corrupted as of yet from it

Another way to do get the max ditto raid is to save at the den and then throw a wishing piece in and quickly hit Home if the beam isn't purple. If it isn't purple, exite the game and open it up again. Repeat until a purple beam shows up.
Did this and got a 4IV ditto with four stones. Make sure you get the right den. It's not the closest one, but the one a bit further past and to the right as you leave the nursery.
you can get a 4 perfect IV and a 5 perfect IV in 4 star raids its just not guaranteed while in a 5 star raid 4 perfect IV's are guaranteed
so I've been doing this lately what i did was with my brother he made a japanese acount for his switch and i kept my English one when i start a raid with ditto he joins and it turns into a japanese ditto if your trying to do the messuda method i would recommend that, it took us a couple of hours but we were able to get a 5 iv ditto :P
So just breed ralts and it always comes with synchronize? And farm different natures?
It really helps if its during a Blizzard. Ive tried for two hours with nothing but noticed in a couple of videos i watched that the weather was Blizzard. As soon as I changed weather, Ditto

there's a way to go to a backup save file if it corrupts through keypresses on the start menu.
just save twice before doing anything risky that way the backup is basically a duplicate.

It specifically tells you not to turn off the game when it's about to save. Did you think that was just a polite suggestion?
@ Works though, because there's a delay before it actually saves. You just need to change your text speed to slow or normal. The slower the text, the more time you have to see the colour of the den's been, and close your game before it saves. I've done it hundreds of times with no issue. The only "chance" is if you mess up or not. If you think you were too slow, just don't risk it and set it up again.

You can close the game just after it saves if there is a red pillar.

You can safe some wishing stones that way.
Better to have your text speed on slow cause I think if it's faster it saves faster than you can close out of the game. So set the text to slow and you'll have better luck closing out of the game.
I never change my text speed from fast, you just have to have one finger on the A button and the other finger on the home button. The few times I messed it up were because I closed the game too fast and didn't get to see the color, so I had had to go back into the game to see and then didn't back out again quickly enough.
I recommend using the raid reset glitch (See austin john plays' video about it, very helpful) and reset until you get a purple beam (guaranteed ditto, no other pokemon spawn with a purple beam) the retool the beam (Austin john has a video on this too) to get a 5 star ditto. Catch, rinse, repeat for the necessary dittos needed. As an added bonus, you'll also get 2,000 watts per retool, making this an effective watt farming strategy as well.
Welp... I got a lapras from a max raid with 6 perfecr ivs and i also got a ditto where the 2 random ivs were "no good". The fact that both of those are a 1 in 1024 chance is a slap in the face now that i actually want a 6 pefect iv ditto. 😐

There's been a mistake in the video.
Golden 5 star raids guarantee 4 perfect IVs (in the video he says "have a chance to guarantee 5IVs" which makes no sense). The actual odds for a 6IV Ditto are 1/1024.

I took a dragon Pokemon, Ditto transformed into my Pokemon and I simply got him with dragon moves. 5 star Ditto came with 4 max ivs. I tried breeding it with Charizard i evolved from Charmander I got from Leon and got 6 max iv Charmander on 10th try. I also got several 5 max iv Bulbasaurs so far.

a "chance to guarantee" is a self contradicting statement. I think you have 1/31 chance of finding a 5IV ditto from the 5 star raids with yellow background
You are absolutely correct, these five star raids are really unusual right though, a third of the time I've found these have five perfect IVs, which is obviously normally, you'd think, a 1/32 chance. The way I worded it was completely dumb and contradictory though I agree

for at least 5 perfect ivs: 1 - (31/32 * 31/32) = 6.15%
for 6 perfect ivs: 1/(32*32) = 1/1024 = 0.098%

Are the IV's set in stone once the pokemon is spawned? I caught the same 5 star gold aura Ditto like 3 or 4 times in a row (restarted my game after beating it) and it didn't seem like the IV's changed. It was a disgusting 4 perfect IV, instead of the coveted 6 perfect IV I've been trying to get.

Probably easier/faster to catch 31 combo ditto in let's go pikachu to start farming 4+ iv. You could get 31 then change nature and get everything you need.

So I've been at this for 3 days. The den doesn't just spawn normal types and I've dropped over 100 wishing pieces into the den and haven't gotten a single ditto of any rarity

So this "fact" in the video was actually wrong
Can also guarantee this, just had a golden menu raid. Given this week is a couple of weeks old, I can imagine that info has changed.

It doesnt work that way. The game sets a marker when you hyper train and treats that stat as 31 for battle purposes. The stat remains unchanged for breeding purposes.

Am I missing a step after catching the ditto to get its IVs maxed out? Or did they patch the den? No matter how many times I re-roll for a 5 star ditto, the highest amount of max IVs I can seem to get is 4.

You’re either going to the wrong den, or your not getting a purple beam. In the right den a purple beam will give you a ditto 100% of the time.
Question: I have been breeding two opposite sex magikarp both with destiny knot & both 5 iv's, im trying to get a 6iv magikarp. been doin it for a while I have 3 boxes of 5 iv magikarp. Is it even possible to get a 6 iv like this? or have I missed something?
Rickest of Ricks yes, if you were breeding two 6iv magikarps you should get a 6iv magikarp every full box but since you are breeding two 5iv magikarp the chance is alot lower, first the game has to pick 5 stats from the parents so the chance to even have potential for a 6iv is 1/6 (this is the chance of it picking all of the 31iv stats) then you just have to add the chance of a perfect iv which is 1/31 so your chance of a 6iv magikarp is 1/31*1/6 which equals 0.54% or 1/192 (all this math is assuming the 2 magikarps have the same bad stat)
Sidenote only one magikarp needs a destiny knot

hey @PDWinnall I've just completed Shield today and received Zigzagoon, I mean Zamazenta. Probably should have guessed he is the more defensive legendary of the two. You know a lot about Pokémon and have exposure to this game; I was wondering if there was a way you knew of that I might get my hands on a Zacian? I dont really want to give up my Zigzagoon though. I offered money on Reddit and got a warning that was against the rules :( I do have 5IV Eevee, Mimikyu, Dreepy, Shellder and Dieno. but expect that not to be enough a bargain chip. any suggestions? thank a lot
Ok so when/if you get the purple dean you do a rank battle then instantly leave the fight now that you did that you can switch the days in your systems settings and when you switch the days it does different purple raid Dean's so therefore you can get 6 if ditto in 1 raid dean
When I use a golden den on a 5 star Ditto it says it has 4 perfect ivs not 5...

4-Star was 3 perfect IVs.

4 stars give 3 ivs, 5 give 4 and so on
4 stars can get you 4 IVs but I don't think it's guaranteed! I just caught a 4 star ditto that has 4 IVs :)

I think that 4 star guarantee 3 perfect ivs and the fourth one is pure rng. The same for 5 stars, guarantees 4 but there's a chance for getting 5 ivs

It wouldn't matter, a lv100 trained iv says hyper trained in the judge viewer. Only a natural perfect iv would say best.
None of this really matters all that much, you only really need 5 perfect iv for competitive and can easily fix the missing one with a bottle cap.
Same can be said for ev training,
It takes 510k pokedollars and 12 seconds to fully ev train your pokemon and money is really irrelevant in this game as you can just do the champion battle on battle tower and spam Meowth g-max move with an amulet coin to get 90k+ pokedollars in a couple of minutes without using any glitches or exploits that could corrupt your file.
@@mappybc6097 It matters for breeding. Which is the #1 way to get high IV shinys. Especially since most people have foreign dittos and are doing MM. You can also build your EV from scratch. No one is looking for hyper trained lvl 100s in trade. Having a nat 6IV is what people want.

4 star pokemon have 3 perfect IVs, 5 stars have 4 perfect IVs, and a 5 star with a gold background have 5 perfect IVs
MrShinzuzu incorrect, 5 star gold does not guarantee 5iv, in fact it is still SUPER rare

I literally have 2 boxes FULL of ditto that have horrible ivs that I cought at the lake where they spawn. Two boxes full and their all horrible, I got so desperate I searched for ways to get a good ditto- if this works I am forever in you’re favour.

Dynamax Ditto is also unable to Transform in Zacian or Zamazenta. So against a full party of those Ditto is just a sitting potato.
2 flaws. 1. Nobody plays ditto competitively. 2. Legendaries are banned if you're playing competitively

Cause dragon type it's the easiest and cheapest option, since you have to pay to get mew

You don't have to use dragon type pokemon. Just use Zacian/Zamazenta. Ditto can't transform into them. So ditto will transform into random trash NPC pokemon.

That's based on trainer IDs
Same pokemon, different IDs: Like each other a lot (70% egg chance)
Same pokemon, same ID: Get along ok (50% egg chance)
Different pokemon, different ID: Get along ok (50% egg chance)
Different pokemon, same ID: Not fond of each other (20% chance)
Incompatible egg group or gender combo, or non-breeding pokemon (legends, babies, the fossil abominations, nidoqueen): Prefer to play with other pokemon (no chance of egg)
