You are right. I saw her TV tour through the White House when I was 12 or so, and remember how impressive she was as she spoke on its history and art. I was also surprised by her cultured way of speaking -- in those days, of course, you didn't hear the first lady's voice that often, and that was the first time I'd heard her speak. And while the "myth" of Camelot she sought to create crumbled when we found out what a womanizer JFK was, she left an impressive legacy -- particularly since her time in the WH was so limited.

The stock market has been trending upward consistently since the recession ended (in part du to Obama's bailout policies) and it has continued as expected irregardless of Trump, not because of him. Don't forget that 80% of stock is owned by the wealthiest 10% of Americans so the stock market doesn't really reflect how the Average American is doing. Wages have still stagnated and not gone up with inflation or productivity and income inequality is as high as ever. Don't believe everything Fox News tells you. Also, Trump is an ignorant old man who doesn't read any of the bills he signs, he's just a corporate puppet disguised in populist clothes, not a President one should be proud of.

The money she could make from book sales would ensure enough funds to live the lifestyle she's used to living.

I'm not supporting affairs, marriage should be sacrad, even if your not religious at all; its a special bond that should have meaning to both parties. However, some don't see it that way.

Agreed, Krue. Portman was great as Jackie Kennedy and, at times, even surpassed her "Black Swan" work, but you can't watch "Elle" and not be completely enthralled, horrified and intimidated by what Isabelle Huppert did.
