What will Bharat gain from FGFA? The officials while cancelling FGFA partnership at that time(around 15 years ago) said that Bharat has most of the 5th gen technologies and it's only a matter of time to develop the rest and come up with 5th gen AMCA.
Now, as per the same officials, Bharat is ready and can get the AMCA rolled out sometime in 2029.
May be the officials knows that they don't have the technologies/skills to get the AMCA completed on time and hence are bringing this FGFA into the discussions to deviate the public from their short comings?!

This mesg for indian administration top officials :-
I have a question regarding the development of Su57 jets.
Russia has developed Su57 as per Russian standard, but if it has to be upgraded as per Indian standard or some changes have to be made in these jets,
then in how much time Russia will take for this ?
Has the Indian administration calculated all these things ???
    ============================
Let's talk about some senhario :-
    1) russia took 1 or 1.5 year for this all upgradtion according indian std then it was good thing for us
    But
    2) if russia took more than 2 years of time to upgrade it according to indian std then it was not good for us .
    3) after upgradation process these jets needed Testing and Certification for that how much time needed ???
( assume that for testing and certification they took 6 or 8 month )
    Means total 1.5 years + 8 month = 2.3 years
Do you think it is right for iaf wating so long for su57 ( according indian std ) or is there a need to change some statergy regarding with this devlopment ????

Don't need Su-57 because Su-30MKI is not only better but it's production and supply chain has been localized at great expense in India.
Simply build a few more Su-30MKI till Tejas MK2 is ready for the medium weight fighter category.
Finally Russia air force itself does not want Su-57 which is worrying.

It can't be that difficult to connect two dots.
Su-30MKI and Su-57 are in the same weight and functional category of heavy twin engined aircraft.
MK2 is in a different category of medium-light single engined aircraft.
Both have different roles and the IAF needs more of the latter to fill its ranks.
Even so, the 57 offers no advantage and huge disadvantages over the Su-30MKI which already has a production base in India built at great expense. The biggest disadvantage being the Russian air forces reluctance to purchase the plane.
Why is it so hard to join two dots.

A finely tuned, superbly synchronized pincer attack launched by BRICS on Washington and Pentagon.
    1. China kicks off the game by leveraging it's influence on Islamabad to push J20, J31
    2. India uses that as rocket fuel to quickly pivot from acquiring Western fighter aircraft to reconsidering FGFA, while
    3. offering a juicy carrot to Dassault in Titanium parts it so desperately needs to compete against Boeing, General Dynamics, McDonnell Douglas ( pulling France away from the Pentagon's satanic embrace )
    4. Leaves absolutely no room for any Western leader to even call Modi before he sets off for Moscow to commit to this deal.

@@Vartik-jr4qr no one wants to play these games, except for the Americans. Eventually, the Americans and French and Russians want to sell and we want to buy. But the Americans want surveillance data from the aircraft they sell to us to be shared with *their* intelligence, but that is a threat to China and Russia, so we have to modify these aircraft. While the French can be trusted to make such India specific modifications for extra $$, the Americans cannot be trusted to do the same.
The Americans are therefore trying to influence French elections as well, in order to block Rafale sale to India ( by blackmailing Marine Le Pen *after* she wins ). Which would leave India with only 1 choice - F15EX for MRFA at exorbitant price for "India specific modifications" and no 5th gen aircraft. And continued problems with China for buying Western Bloc aircraft and sharing data with the West ( whether we know it or not ). Americans basically want Indians and Chinese to distrust each other, that gives them an advantage to manipulate foreign policy of both.
OVERALL This is a game of survival of 2 less powerful nations in the oldest game played between superpowers : heads we win, tails you lose. Because, at the end of this, regardless of who wins, the French are eliminated *unless* they make a deal with the Russians. And India is caught between the Russians and the Americans ONCE AGAIN, like during the cold war days *unless* we can act as a bridge btwn Russians and French for Titanium parts.
AND THAT WILL MAKE THE AMERICANS SO MAD. Because Boeing needs a LOT of Titanium. And that means USA will have to beg the Russians or Chinese to get that titanium. Which means we might eventually get the fighter aircraft we have selected.
In the longer run, the biggest takeaway from this game of survival might be : *France - Russia - India* bloc can form a defence production network as a result of such increased cooperation. That is also something America AND China will seek to destroy at any cost. Because Americans are leading weapons exporters and Chins wants to take America's position as market leader.
