This is how Rafale myths are created - DRAL was always only a 36 Rafale deal offset JV for making Falcon corporate jets for the Asian market that never developed - so now a long planned IAF Rafale MRO has magically become RafaleF5 production...

    • @Wild-Weasel
      @Wild-Weasel Před měsícem +6

That's right! $440M of the taxpayer funded $4.4B in 36 Rafale offsets were used to build a massive near idle plant for a corporate jet market that never happened - so everyone is trying to recover at least some of that investment for other things because Dassault cannot commit to Make In India Rafale that would export high paying France jobs to India that are for it's only Fighter - so all Rafale production will always stay in France with only Assemble In India of imported Rafale knockdown kits that HAL is already doing for Su30MKI adding nothing to domestic industry...

No way will the private sector invest in R&D of domestic engineered defence products going forward.
For even when they produce a good product, the military will choose to import the same item.
The private sector thus cannot break even let alone make a profit on their investment.
This is also the reason no domestic companies wants to participate in AMCA development.
They will spend huge amounts on R&D but military will import the same equipment at the last minute leaving them with few / no orders.
It's easier to do what Adani did with Hermes-900 namely Import and Rename (I&R) instead of R&D.

Breaking news: India has chosen its MRCAMOW (Multi role combat aircraft made of wood) from the 1947 tender issue. It was a close call between the main contenders; the Supermarine Spitfire, P51 Mustang, Japanese Zero and Yak 31 but the Spitfire won through on account that it has 8 machine guns which can knock over an armoured cyclist from 75 yards, it can land and take off on an average Dehli flat rooftop with a weapons payload of 100 pounds and also the British said we had to buy it or else. Anyway deliveries of the 7 aircraft ordered should start by 2038. Happy days 🤗

Drdo should stop it's divisions which serves army.
No point in wasting country's money when army don't want anything indigenous
Instead of buying foreign army should sit with drdo and work on making Indian systems better
I am sure it is inferior now against stryker but if army works with drdo for next 3 to 4 years it will be superior
Army thinks it's only drdo s job to do indigenous system but not it's job and it thinks it doesn't have any responsibilities in helping grow and develop Indian systems

the Indian Air Force should split the MRFA program between two vendors . . . for e.g. a fleet of 68 brand new Dassault Rafale F-4R multi role interdictor strike fighter & 53 brand new F-15EX Strike Eagle II multi role all weather fighter . . . that way the air force won't have to rely on only one foreign vendor . . .

IAF should drop MRFA and re consider buying ŞU- 57 at similar price of rafael. As China has increase their 5 th gen squadron and along with that Pakistan is planning to buy J31 from China. When both our neighbours have 5 th gen fighters will be having a prototype of AMCA , with some outdated old jets and 4.5 gen jets at cost of 5 gen.
Russia has improved SU57 on all parametres. New engine with mach 1.6 without after burner. Heat reduction engine nozzle and other stealth improvements. And also they are developing CATS warrior mothership feature , which will be an added advantage. And also Russia is all time trusted partner of India. European countries can dumb us whenever a sanction arise.
Şu 57 + AMCA + Tejas MK2 will play a crucial role on dual front war.

    1. Lower prices for Rafale because of Bulk Order
    2. Negotiate for manufacture and MRO of Rafale in India for all Countries. Which will also lower lifetime costs

We have more than 47 lakhs crores budget per year but We don't have 2.5 lakhs to 3 lakh crores for purchase around 150 new fighters which payment should not made at One go it will be made in pro deliveries basis viz 15 years or so.

This means that either Army is struck with white supremacy complex or Indian research establishment is just time passing and not doing its best. Because I don't think in the state of war which will prolong over long period, foreign systems will be of much help. What it will do is make you look at them for its subsystems and they will have a control over your war by doing nothing. 👏👏
