I don’t like the fact that tanjiro beats himself up for being weaker in comparison to his father and yoruichi they had years to train and were full grown men, let alone tanjiro is just a teenager. So yea he’s not as talented as yoruichi but for his age he sure as hell is strong. So I wished he would focus more on his strengths rather than his weaknesses but in the end everything still worked out, gotta love demon slayer regardless 💯

Through dancing. One theory states why Tanjiros father was so frail (and probably his previous ancestors) is that those who practiced it started loosing part of their lifespan.

He was born with the Mark but it didn't kill him. Also they can perform the dance because they have been doing it for 500 years. The dance changed them not the Mark as during the Golden Age a bunch of people had the Mark and they were stronger than the current generation.

Also tanjiru's dad can do the see through world, feat that can only be achieve after manifesting the mark. He can straight up kill uppermoons up to 3 if they ever met up.

I post this when i can but i still think sumiyoshi was one of the abandoned children of upper moon 1. It would explain the body type and that matching demon slayer marks between upper moon 1, yurrichi, and tanjiro despite upper moon 1 never using sun breathing. We see that demon slayers get different demon slaying marks. We assumed it's based on breath style but i believe it's based on body type. The body type you get defines your breathing style and the mark you'll get if you awaken it. Just ties up a plot thread to me because the marks don't make sense otherwise. And before anyone says it. I know what sumiyoshi said that yurrichi was a family friend, but if he was abandoned as kid and never saw his dad or uncle for years, then he wouldn't see them as any different than a stranger

I definitely feel like the mangaka wanted there to be a more direct link from Yoriichi to Tanjiro but just didn't have the time to establish it. I'd honestly feel like it would be cooler if Yoriichi was Tanjiro's great great great grandfather than just the guy who showed his great grandad some sword moves, even if it would be more cliche.

@@Soogooroo he's still related to a badass tho. His Dad is essentially a unofficial hashira. He just never had the chance to enter tge Slayer Corps. Also that badass/god taught Tanjiro's ancestor his badass techniques which Tsumiyoshi passed down to his entire family line. So Tanjiro really comes from a long line of badasses.

I have a theory, Tanjuro died young and Tanjiro said his father was born with a slight mark on his forehead, what if he died because of the mark curse of dying young?
He lived past the 25 year limit so the Mark didn't kill him. He was just sick so that killed him. The Mark doesn't make a person sick they just drop dead suddenly.
