At some certain point in the Season 2, I realized why a Black Nichirin Blade wielder is considered bad luck. Muzan kills them by himself, he's afraid that they might be able to kill him
Does that mean that Yorrichi taught other families his sun breathing style or is it because those demon slayers have a high aptitude towards the sun breathing style?
@@lawreadinggreen7117 I think that they just have high aptitude of the sun breathing. If I remember correctly in the manga, Yorichi gave his earrings to the Kamado family, 300 years before Tanjiro, but I've never seen him taught anyone the breathing style. Only the Kamado family knows the style, and only those who gets the earrings gets to learn it too.

@@nainkylelian194 I think Muzan killed everyone who knows sun breathing. Bt i don't remember anyone in the manga who does sun breathing except for Yorichi and Tanjiro's father and of course Tanjro. Tanjro completed sun breathing after learning from the memories of his ancestor.
@@nainkylelian194 As per the Manga, Yorichi taught the sun breathing style to his students/successors but it was mentioned that not everybody could master it, so people kept on modifying the breathing style to suit their bodies better which gave birth to the different breathing styles. Muzan killed all the other sun-breathing practitioners, however the Komado family practised the breathing style and kept it hidden as Hinokami Kagura due to which they escaped Muzan's radar.

Actually the scar from protecting his sibling is a lie his parents told him because if you go back to the episode when he first used Hinokami kagura during the flashback as a child when they were still the only ones born he already had the mark

I'd wager no amount of therapy could help Demon Daddy Muzan get over that trauma.
It was stated that despite being ultimate survivalist Muzan was also the biggest coward in the series. He would take lives without second thought but nearly losing his own gave him such PTSD that mere resemblance of a man who nearly killed him are giving him panic attacks.

@@jbanksey22 idk how to make people understand but they don't really dragged out season 2. the reason why they give a mugen train recap is because there are some country who didn't get mugen train on theater. however i think people can still watch it illegally. but please know that ufotable didn't do the recap for nothing, they do it for the less fortunate. i know to us who got to see it on theater, of course it's easy to feel like the recap is dragging out.

I love Tanjiro's imperfection as a successor to Sun Breathing. He is not a chosen one--he couldn't master Sun Breathing, he wasn't born with his forehead mark, and he's not gifted like Yoriichi and has to rely heavily on others. BUT, Tanjiro is a good person and hard working. His positive traits and his family's connection to Sun Breathing makes him GOOD ENOUGH to break the cycle of demons.
He doesn’t exactly get any plot armor besides the fact that he is a Main character. It’s cool to see cause he isn’t fully OP. We get to see his limits every big fight. Best new gen character imo

He can master sun breathing lmao. He don’t need to be born gifted to do so. All he needs to do is just train. Hard work can beat talent and tanjiro has shown that. He very well can master it. And he was the chosen one tanjiro was mistaken. Otherwise he would of never gotten his mark.
You know I just realized something after rewatching the latest episode. When Tanjiro first meets the sword maker he references both his hair and eyes and calls him a child of the sun. As far as the eyes, I always thought Yorichi was the only one who had a similar set but I was wrong, there is one other - Rengoku's Mother. I am serious, she has the same eye color and shape and is the only one other than Yorichi to have it. Makes me wonder if Tanjiro, Rengoku's Mother and ultimately Rengoku's/his siblings are distant relatives.
if u see the manga of yoriichi's child life, he had the same shape and size of tanjiro's eyes! but there remains a possibility that rengoku's mother could be a distant relative of the tsugikuni family

Rengokus mom's eyes became that way because before birth the rengokus stare into fire for hours

Yorichi terrified muzan to the point of making the guy openly avoid the tanjiro in their first encounter when he see tanjiro earrings he immediately thought tanjiro is a sun breather.. if he's just kill tanjiro as normal muzan wouldn't have to fight tanjiro later when he gets more time to train and get more power.. he's always hiding behind his underling demons and send them to kill tanjiro but then they're literally material for tanjiro to train, making his unavoidable end come in the last arc

Just a quick note: Tanjiro mentions that his mark was caused by being burned by boiling water, and I have just noticed that his father had the same mark in the same location. But it cannot be a coincidence that they both had been burned in the same spot.

SUCH a shame tanjiro didnt meet kokushibo.. the dialogue alone wouldve been so interesting.. especially when kokushibo saw tanjiros mark and him using sun breathing

It’s such a good Manga, one of my favourite stories. I’m so glad they’re doing more stories now with the new volume “Stories of Water & Flame”, it’s not written by Koyoharu but it looks & feels the same with the art being nearly identical.
I've been on the back foot because different writers but I've heard good reviews. This adds more to it as well.
Yoricho didn't really passed down his breathing, it was just a request from tanjiro's ancestor to show them his sword style so that they will remember him despite everyone abandoning yorichi
Not even that. They saw him practice it and he redid it to entertain the kid. Then they decided to memorize it as a sign of respect.

I think the idea behind Tanjiro not being born with the mark is that he isn't the chosen one, he's a hero made through many painful experiences and only came about due to his pure hearted soul which is what truly links him to Yorichi (especially since there's no blood relation between them).

I think if Tanjirou stayed in the demon form, muzan could get control of his body at some point. Even in the final scenes, we can see how Tanjiro tries to escape muzans will, he is basically was manipulated by muzans blood
I believe that was Muzan's plan. Once a part of him still exists over time his power would grow and he would be able to take over Tanjiro's body and be able to walk in the sunlight again.

When yoriichi was young, he beat the crap outta swordsman who were strong and here our young kamado is beating the crap outta DEMONS, especially moons! Just can't imagine how strong would Tanjiro be when he'd be the same as age Yoriichi when he wrecked Muzan.

@@afsaratasnia9150 I don't think tanjiro in he's 20s would get to Yoriichi's skills, he was already a monster at the young age and comparable to an Hashira and he's 20's can defeat muzan in seconds it would take a while for tanjiro to get on Yoriichi's level, and he still can't because of he's mark and the extinction of the demons, basically there's no more demons to fight with so training more would be useless and you can't pass the age of 25 if you unlocked the mark.

I really like that the Mangaka had him get 1500 out of 1800. It's incredibly impressive. But how many mangas would have said "he only missed 1-5 of them" no he missed 300. Everyone else would have missed 1700 at least. It's a nice touch.

Totally and we could time skip to the future where sorrowful Tanjiro is haunted by his memories of killing his friends and family and top of that Muzan is constantly trying to twist his mind from within. While all this is happening a child is born who’s just like Yorichi, the one who defeated Muzan without breaking a sweat. Their fight will be legendary.

Anyways, I've been thinking about this for a while. In my opinion, certain things would have to be changed about the infinity mansion arc, for example, Tamayo manages to create the cure but isn't able to tell Nezuko, or any of the Demon Slayers, and gets devoured by Kibetsuji first, prior to this arc. Then, while this arc is happening, Nezuko is hiding because she must not allow Kibetsuji to re-absorb her. Tanjiro should also be slightly stronger when fighting Akaza, and Giyuu gets much less injured. In Kibetsuji's final moments, he is running from the sun, and Tanjiro kills him. When he becomes a Demon King, some small part of him prevents him from killing any humans, but he is still violent and out of control. Nezuko, as a demon, holds him back and tries to get his consciousness back, but ultimately fails. He becomes the new villain, the great evil that Nezuko and the remaining Demon Hunters must defeat. This would make for a great plot, but eventually, after about 5 years, he regains his consciousness and stops. At this point, Nezuko has found out about the cure for demons from Yuchiro, Tamayo's underling, She vows to take it only after her brother has been cured, and has been fighting with him up till this point. When he regains his consciousness, he feels guilt for hurting all those people, and takes a nichirin blade from a demon slayer and tries to kill himself. He fails, and eventually is found by Nezuko in this state, repeatedly slashing his head. Then there's this whole thing about his guilt again, and he takes the cure. The cure Yuchiro has created is slightly different, so he maintains the function of his body, but can no longer regenerate. He is still able to do sun breathing, with a healthy body. Him and Nezuko are now hunting down the remain demons to cure or kill them, and once they are all gone, settle down and have a family similar to the original ending. Oh and they pass down these techniques to be used if evil rises again in the world.

Great video AnimeUproar!. I just also wanted to add that Tanjiro was able to turn back to normal because he bit Nezuko who was already healed in a sense and was fully back to human. With her turning back into a human her body was able to produce the anti-bodies to prevent her from turning into a demon. When Tanjiro bit her he was also consuming those anti-bodies and that helped with his healing process.

It's always interesting to watch/read a story with the strongest characters, especially the protagonists turn into the villain. It makes us see how the side characters will react when the people they rely on is gone. How strong these characters to fight the people they entrust their life to.
Kny reminds me of Aot Eren and Tokrev Mikey but Tanjiro only got a happy ending while Mikey's story is still on-going. I would love to see one of my fav characters, MHA Deku turn into the bad guy but what just happened in the cureent arc is good enough ig.

If i recall correctly about the manga, it mentioned that Tanjirou was mistaken about the mark not being there. It was there just that he didn't know about it, like it was hidden under hair or very small or something like that.

Yoriichi vs Muzan is no doubt my favorite battle in the entire series. It may be short but the details of tgat battle explains a lot and I love that.

I think with the mark thing it’s supposed to up end the idea of a “chosen one “ or “one marked to do great things” or “born to be great” that are found in other stories where the protagonist is chosen by fate to be the hero and is “marked” as such from birth. He didn’t have some illustrious heritage or anything.
Tanjiro was a normal person who through tragedy found the drive and determination to become great.

You forgot to mention that a few years later all the demon slayers died when they turned 23 years old, the cost of unlocking the mark. Only Yoriichi who was burn with the mark and was born with the perfect body to sustain the mark lived passed 23

Wait why didn’t Tanjiro keep his eye and arm after reverting back into his human form. It makes no sense he should’ve had since they healed while he was a demon
Even though this was a good anime/manga overall, it made me a bit sad that the author rushed to conclusion.. there's a lot of potential material to work on this that the characters doesn't have to rely on nerfing their opponents and fighting in equal footing
yeah i felt manga was rushed. all the upper moons were hyped so much but they got killed pretty quickly
I hope theres a sequel where after the defeat of muzan the demon slayer corps didnt disband yet to hunt the remaining demons who mysteriously survived and went outside japan. Imagine a demon slayer meeting van helsing and belmont 🤣

They should've done a spin off series alternate timeline where tanjiro stays a demon and Kyojuro's brother becomes a swordsman to fight him. Would've been interesting because I don't think Tanjiro would've been fully evil, he mightve spared some of their lives, or all of them. And ran off with nezuko
