The point of asking question should be to obtain clarity on something that will allow you to practice your Dean better, to gain knowledge to correct your mistakes and to gather knowledge that will motivate you to do more food and prevent more evil. However sometimes people ask nonsensical questions as though they are trying to appear more intelligent or to challenge the speaker just to establish intellectual dominance, however in doing so they come across as absolute time wasters whose intentions are very clear!

    Episode 36 - Episode 42 (Part 3) (Started on Ep36)
    - In Medina
The Prophet SAW then sent Zaid Ibn Haritha RA as a crier to Medina to inform the Muslims of the victory at Badr. The majority of Muslims were very joyful to hear of this. When the Prophet SAW came back to Medina, he had the companions house the prisoners of war in their own homes and commanded them to treat them well. This was done and then the Quraysh were informed about who had been captured and thus the prisoners were ransomed for their freedom.
Al Abbas RA, was ransomed for a high price and after he was freed, he took his Shahadah and remained a secret Muslim. Abu Al As RA, the son in law of the Prophet SAW, was ransomed in exchange for the Zainab RA, the daughter of the Prophet SAW. The Prophet SAW told Abu Al As RA to give him Zainab RA in exchange for his freedom and he did.
After the Battle of Badr, the last remnants of polytheism disappeared in Medina and were replaced with Munafiqs. Nifaq first began after the Battle of Badr. Furthermore, after Badr is when the animosity between the Yahud and Muslims began. Also all Muslims were told by Allah SWT, that they must migrate to Medina after Badr.
    - In Makkah
In Makkah, the pagans couldn’t believe that they had lost the battle. Abu Lahab himself refused to believe that the Quraysh had lost and he became depressed and died a short while later of a disease. Makkah then fell into a state of depression and the women wailed since so many had been killed.
Fun Trivia fact: The area of Badr is named after the man who dug the wells there.
Fun Trivia fact: Two under 14 year olds wanted to participate in this battle. But, the Prophet SAW sent them back to Medina. This is because the general rule was that, only those over 14 can participate in battles and not those under.
Fun Trivia fact: There were 3 Sahabah’s per camel during this battle.
Fun Trivia fact: During the Prophet SAW’s lifetime. People did revert to Islam due to materialistic reasons and their conversion was accepted. This was due to the validity of Islam, which meant that eventually eman will enter the individuals heart.
Fun Trivia fact: When the Prophet SAW left Medina to go on ghazwah’s, SAW would leave a blind Sahabi, to manage Medina. This was done at least a dozen times. This blind Sahabi who the Prophet SAW, left in charge of Medina was Ibn Umm Maktum. This is the same man for whom Surah Abasa is speaking about.
Fun Trivia fact: Abu Lahab did not attend the Battle of Badr for unknown reasons. He instead had one of his debtors go in his place.
Fun Trivia fact: Dreams about the future are a blessing from Allah SWT and they are not limited to Muslims. Non-Muslims can have them too, as was the case of Atikah, the aunt of the Prophet SAW, who had an ominous dream about the destruction of the Makkan’s prior to the Battle of Badr.
Fun Trivia fact: The Prophet SAW stated that “Abu Jahal is the firaun of my ummah”.
Fun Trivia fact: Once Uqbah spat on the face of the Prophet SAW and the Prophet SAW predicted that he would kill Uqbah the next time that they meet. This was fulfilled after the Battle of Badr.
Fun Trivia fact: Umayyah Ibn Khalaf hired someone to represent him during Badr.
Fun Trivia fact: Allah SWT wanted the Battle of Badr to happen and he states this in the Qur’an.
Fun Trivia fact: Abu Sufyan became the leader of the Quraysh after the Battle of Badr and Hind was like the queen being his wife.
Fun Trivia fact: The Prophet SAW used various colours for flags during battles. In the Battle of Badr, the flag colour was white and the flag bearer was Musab Ibn Umair RA. Musab RA was chosen because he was respected by both the Muhajirun and Ansar.
Fun Trivia fact: The Prophet SAW would always take Shura from his companions RA and even changed his views if their opinions were more advantageous.
Fun Trivia fact: The Prophet SAW would do things from his own opinion sometimes and these were not from Allah SWT. When the Prophet SAW did this, SAW would explicitly make it clear.
Fun Trivia fact: The companions falling asleep was a blessing from Allah SWT, to energize them for the battle on the following day.
Fun Trivia fact: The Prophet SAW wouldn’t only just organise the rows for Salaah. But, SAW did the exact same prior to the Battle of Badr.
Fun Trivia fact: During the Caliphate of Ali RA. A Jew took him to court and the judge ruled against Ali RA. This outcome shocked the Jew who immediately embraced Islam, after realized how Islam must be the truth based on its incredible level of justice.
Fun Trivia fact: Ubaydah RA died a few days after the Battle of Badr as a result of the injuries he got from duelling Utbah.
Fun Trivia fact: Ubaydah RA’s wife, after his death, became the 5th wife of the Prophet SAW.
Fun Trivia fact: There are 3 postures from the Sunnah on how to raise your hands for dua. One is to raise your palms out, the other is to just do dua (especially zikr) with the Attahiyat finger and the final is the raise your hands to the heavens and look up.
Fun Trivia fact: The Prophet SAW said in a Hadith that, “Allah SWT is shy not to give a servant (who raises his hands to do dua) some blessings before his hands come down”.
Fun Trivia fact: If Eid and Jummah are on the same day, and if you prayed Eid Salaah. Then you still need to do Jummah on that day. Only the Hanbali Madhab differ on this view.
Fun Trivia fact: Ramadan became obligatory immediately after the Battle of Badr.
Fun Trivia fact: Allah SWT gave the Prophet SAW the authority to legislate Shariah via SAW’s own views, in some cases. But, anytime the Prophet SAW had views that Allah SWT did not approve off, Allah SWT would send Wahi to change it.
Fun Trivia fact: Abu Bakr RA would defend the Prophet SAW when he supplicated during the battle. Abu Bakr RA was the Prophet SAW’s bodyguard during the Battle of Badr.
Fun Trivia fact: Jibreel AS himself, was sent to fight during the Battle of Badr. Jibreel AS wore a green turban, had weapons and a horse.

    ==========================================================
Disclaimer for my Notes of Sheikh Yasir Qadhi’s Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam Series:
Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh, these are my notes on Sheikh Yasir Qadhi’s Seerah series.
Please note: I HIGHLY recommend that you all watch YQ’s Seerah series, as I DON’T cover every single detail the Sheikh mentions. I made these notes primarily for myself but, decided my fellow brothers and sisters may benefit from them too. I no doubt will have made mistakes in my notes. All the good in these notes is from Allah SWT and all the mistakes are from myself. But, I was very meticulous and tried my best to make sure everything is accurate as the Sheikh mentions it.
You also will see I have added “Fun Trivia facts” under each of my notes. These FTFs are information YQ said that was off topic or not necessary to include in my notes for the episode. But, they were still worth mentioning hence the inclusion as FTFs. FTFs aren’t always HAPPY pieces of information. Sometimes they are very sad trivia. I just want to say that FTF is the phrase I used for them all collectively when making the notes.
One thing I wanted to do but am too lazy to do is, maybe someone could take the FTFs from under each “Episode” and make an Islamic reminder/information IG/TikTok account and post them daily or something. Could be a great form of Sadaqah Jaariyah.
Please keep me in your Duas and ask Allah SWT to forgive all our sins during this blessed month and beyond! Ameen

At 1:00:00 talks about can the prophet have his own opinion in the syariah and not directly by revelation from Allah? The answer is yes because he is authorised by Allah to do so, and in the instance of Him not agreeing to any command, Allah will reveal to correct it, as in the case of prisoners of badr. Nevertheless, whatever is commanded by the prophet Muhammad is binding to us, regardless of its origin.

The case of Sa`ad Ibn Mu`ad, Ali Ibn Abu Talib, and Musa Ibn Umayr is a case of using the advantage of celebrity to accomplish a task in the social arena.
The 16th of Ramadan can symbolize being past one's prime, but still renewing.
The example of the incident of Al Hubab is the easiest example to say that Prophet Muhammad had worldly opinions.
The fanaticism of presuming every action specifically inspired of God instead of just doing what is right in general should not be followed. I am not saying that it couldn't have gone beyond instinct and personal opinions at times, but it proves that Prophet Muhammad did speak on matters that would generally be deemed secular on his own opinions.
Praying that a person or army will loose a battle fits one of the definitions of black magick.
Supplicating for the benefit of someone or something is a type of white magick.
Making one's army seem larger or smaller or to change the perception of the other side is a great factor of psychological warfare, if it can be done.
The amount of people of your side that die fighting should never stop you from fighting the just war.
Support the good and truth in a person or people, but oppose the ignorance and evil from everyone.
Buqtaree should be followed by more disbelievers in opposing sanctions and collective oppression against a people.
The third position of supplication is as the Clearing the Shu or Ka position from the Egyptian hieroglyphs.
We are just the means of our actions.

This ignores the fast that Zaid bin Harith a freed slave was placed in command of a large army and some people weren't happy and his son was also placed as a general.
The army will not fight one man to one man in medieval war, one of the reforms of the prophet was to organise the army into ranks rather than the hit and run tactics of the arabs.

Very good lecture but I've been waiting for Dr Qadhi to mention the prophet's son-in-law, Abu-al-As, who was also fighting against the prophet with the Quraysh but was forced to do so and did it unwillingly. Maybe he'll mentioned it when he talks about the prisoners.
An important piece of information Dr Qahdi should have mentioned is that Utbah ibn Rabiah was the father of Hind bint Utbah and Abu Hudhayfa and father-in-law of Abu Sufyan. This was important because of what happens later after the Battle of Uhud and Hazrat Humzah.
The last guy who asked the question is very slow. Dr Qadhi is not even my lecturerer yet I understood his response.
