Thanks for sharing. U have inspired me to start sharing my life and foods on my you tube although I’m very new to it so still learning how to upload and edit videos...not brave enough to talk or show myself on the videos as extremely camera shy but we all start somewhere right ☺️. Thanks again for sharing all ur recipes 😘
Aww that's brilliant news :) It's a great wee hobby...I just love CZcams. No need to be on camera or speak if you don't feel comfortable right away, you'll know when it feels right for you :) I'll be sure to look out for your recipes x
Love this lady so friendly and her cooking is realistic and involves ingredients for meals or food that every day people can afford which gives everyone the opportunity to enjoy good food, Tried some of the recipes and will certainly be trying this one. Thanks 😘
The meat slices I've eaten since 1975 are salty, garlicky and contain mint. I always pan toast the pita breads with a light coating of oil and crisp up the sliced meat in a pan a little more, like bacon. Chopped fresh flat leaf parsley is also mixed into the raw onion and tomato side salad. This is not a date night food if you plan to have dessert later on at home. :-)
I did one exactly like this, but made the spice mix myself. Put it in the slow cooker for 4 hours, cut and then grill the slices - I think it tastes better than the kebab shop in the fact it’s fresher and not full of fillers and enhancers etc. You know you could also boil the block of meat, then put it on a bbq with the auto rotator thingys. Good job, made me hungry now. Like the vid. Also, for salad, I used to Blanch the cabbage for five minutes. Drain. Squeeze of lemon juice and then some olive oil, sprinkle of salt.
I had never heard of chilli sauce on a kebab till i lived in Scotland. Luckily they were always very nice and put garlic sauce on it for me instead of chilli 😊
I actually saw the recipe from where you got it before seeing your video - they both look great! I'm struggling to make a good döner kebab at home, but I will give this recipe a go sometime later next week. Thank you so much for the video! Hopefully one day I can present my dishes as well as you do!
That’s nice. Near me, they sell them shaped like hotdogs and ready for grilling. They serve it at home with Greek yogurt mixed with frozen spinach (or hummus or grilled eggplant salad), pita and salad. Nice video 👍🏻💕
Great video! Thank you for sharing this recipe and preparation. I think I should share a 'secret' or two(2) of my own: 1. World's Best & Easiest REAL Sour Cream: 2 tbsp Full Cream Greek Yogurt + 2-4 tsp Lime juice. BRILLIANT! 2. Garlic Sauce: 2 tbsp Full Cream Greek Yogurt + (1-1 1/2 tsp Crushed Garlic + 1 tbsp Boiling Water - let the Garlic nearly dissolve, about 2 minutes). There you have it! I'd also make this suggestion, add 1 tbsp Turmeric + 1 tbsp Italian Mixed Spices when mixing the meat. Lamb + Veal mince, more prevalent here in Oz, is superior to Lamb alone. Have fun, don't get fat!
I was wondering if the moisture from the meat would burst through the foil, and if there should be a slit to allow moisture to escape under low pressure. It looks like yours did quite well without it.
I missed this one looks good have come across his stuff before . But use tongmasters mix instead Amazon . I have a mincer so do mine this way . But does look nice ?
Can you try and replicate the bbq chicken kebab please....this looks amazing but I'm not keen on lamb.. do you think this would work with beef/pork combo stead of lamb?..love the wee take away box lol....
Really nice but remember u will be nice and moist and squishy aswell especially around the belly area once u eat that thing.....i mean doner meat thingy
I liked your video, so I did :-). Im single and billy no mates. Do you think the shaved meat could be frozen and reheated succesfully so as not to waste the left overs?
Never ate one, never will, your recipe looks nice, but god knows what nasty things go in to the local cababb shop block of rubbish, heated up cooled down, heated again,ha ha,naaaaa.
It honestly tasted like shit, done it tried it and it is nothing like your local takeaway at all, listen people all the money, time and effort you put into this shit, it’s so much easier to get you local takeaway to do it it’s so much cheaper and far less hassle
I only clicked on dislike because I can't eat red cabbage ( too difficult to chew) and the chili sauce at the end would kill my stomach. Other wise, the salad looked delicious. I've not seen any kebab shops here in the states.

Had to laugh. My first thought was "Good Lord. A recipe based on The Donner Party?"😂
Looks good!
I had never heard of chilli sauce on a kebab till i lived in Scotland. Luckily they were always very nice and put garlic sauce on it for me instead of chilli 😊
Oh my good god I'm gonna try this this weekend. I bet it's 10x healthier too. Nice bit of chilli sauce and mint sauce is a must.

I was wondering if the moisture from the meat would burst through the foil, and if there should be a slit to allow moisture to escape under low pressure. It looks like yours did quite well without it.

You could just mix it all in the food processor alot less hassle
I missed this one looks good have come across his stuff before . But use tongmasters mix instead Amazon . I have a mincer so do mine this way . But does look nice ?
I wonder if you grilled it a wee bit before serving, wether the texture would be better?

Looks braw, what kind of chilli sauce did you use?
Looks really good, I'll have to give it a try. Thanks!
Use milk powder rather than breadcrumbs and flatten the meat before cooking for a more realistic donor
Your kitchen counter/tiles look EXACTLY the same as mine. Did you recently move away from a house somewhere in Wiltshire?
Hi Dan :) No, I've never been to Wiltshire
What wattage is your food processor ?
Very nice x
It's really easy Robert :) it's tasty...just not as good as a kebab shop kebab
@@WhatsForTea thanks so why isn't it as good as the shop ? Do they do it something different ..?
@@robertpaisley8643 Hiya :) It's just a little less greasy...if you use meat with a HIGH fat content, it would probably taste more authentic!
@@WhatsForTea thanks your kind x
There's a newer recipe by Damalet. Please can you try that for us.
Put it back in oven to brown it abit Moore
Really nice but remember u will be nice and moist and squishy aswell especially around the belly area once u eat that thing.....i mean doner meat thingy
Yes... definitely not for you if you're watching your waistline :)
Everything is fine in moderation 😉
I liked your video, so I did :-). Im single and billy no mates. Do you think the shaved meat could be frozen and reheated succesfully so as not to waste the left overs?
Hiya :) I'm sure the meat would be fine if you froze it. Thanks for stopping by

Not bad little vid but had to turn the volume off as you talk to much and your accent was super annoying.
It honestly tasted like shit, done it tried it and it is nothing like your local takeaway at all, listen people all the money, time and effort you put into this shit, it’s so much easier to get you local takeaway to do it it’s so much cheaper and far less hassle
Looks like dog meat ...
It does a bit, doesn't it :D
Looks like cat meat
It does a bit! :D
It was awful.
Did you nor like it? :( I really enjoyed it....not as good as the kebab shop, but then it never is! x
What's For Tea? It was just like mince meat but spice tasted it was awful
