The refs called a travel on Diana Taurasi but they missed the next play right after that, the lynx had a player travel receiving a handoff.
I might have to disagree with you on this, being I’m seeing the Right foot as the established pivot foot.

The only reason the first travel was called was because there was a block/charge situation right after. I’d go with the travel on that. The travel your mentioning was too small to be called in the wnba
The officials are awful in the WNBA but there are certain players like Diggins-Smith, Taurasi (who I love) believe they never do anything wrong on the court. Lol!

I haven't watched the nba in 3 years, and the wnba is on the short list. The flopping and crying are hard to watch. Maybe they should play without officials like on the playground. You make your own calls, and disputes are settled on the free-throw line.

They gave Taurasi the traveling call, but they saved her from getting the charging call which she should have gotten. The Min. player had position, and Taurasi just lowered her shoulder and bulldozed the Min. player backwards. The traveling call was actually a more lenient call for Taurasi, who mouths off at officials way too much in her WNBA career......
When the ref waited to see if minn. Was going to score before he called the T on coach I knew it was bad. But what I like about the Mercury is they stick together, when one gets a tech we all getting them bitches
the ref did that to not take their potential fast break points away from them. so he waited then assessed the tech, because if she absolutely earned it he would've killed the play while he was passing her and gave her a tech
Maybe they need to drug test these officials because some of those calls were just awful.
Maybe you should be in charge of refs, because you must have the training, experience and education to make such dumb azz statements

That was an ugly game to be at….yes we were down a lot when Sandy got T’d BUT it was like they almost gave up after that like “what’s the point….these refs are gonna screw us over regardless”)
In a case like that, if they don't think they're going to get the calls, they should just make a complete farce of the whole game. Pass the ball to the opponents. Take the ball out and just stand there with it until a time violation occurs. Dribble around in circles nowhere near the basket. Just have fun with it.

I like the call on Taurasi, despite her knowing that it was contact (feet) that caused her to travel. The point is that the defense was in legal guarding position and has the ability to back up. So, the defender did nothing wrong. As for Diggins-Smith that was a blown call. I watched it a few times to try and see if the ref was a bit out of position because, at least from my angle, it was an obvious illegal screen. Then I could tell what Skylar D-Smith was saying to the ref afterwards and shook my head. Refs are taught to first call the obvious and, though you maybe thinking it, never say, "It was the same call on the other end," when you know that call is wrong. No point in duplicating a mistake for the sense of equality. Anyway, stating that to players and/or coaches blows up the situation, especially when the call against them is wrong. As for that last call, I don't see why the coach responded that way, except to show her players that they were in this together.
Um.. they call traveling on Taurasi instead of the PC foul. The ref gave her the stop sign and she kept arguing, that's why she got the T. I'm willing to bet that she had been warned for complaining earlier in the game.

Even with Taurasi just getting back, this team is underachieving MAJORLY. Looking at this roster, they should easily be up there with Seattle and Vegas but they're not even close. Some wack calls but come on, its bball!! Thats when you kick it up and make the refs whistle irrelevant by just hooping and beating the other team. Smh this team is treading the wrong way. Bonner got it right. Might be time for a shake up on this team.

@@bartonpercival2147 she averages almost 10 but I'm with you, at 6'9 playing 30+ minutes she should easily be north of 15rpg. She's really unstoppable if she decides to be. If they can transplant Olympic BG to the Wnba, they would be on to something.

If i was out there on that court and i knew the ref made bad call I wouldnt be out there complaining and whining bout a foul. Regardless, players shouldn't be mouthing off to the refs and reacting/objecting and disagreeing with practically every call. Part of being a professional athlete is controlling your emotions and reactions and staying cool. Just because you are on TV doesn't mean you need to put on a big act. Things don't always go your way but that goes both ways.
When you are passionate about something you are going to get emotional. That’s everybody. There is no athlete that has never not gotten emotional in their entire career. For you to say people can’t react to at all is absurd. We are humans, nobody is perfect. You will react eventually smh 🤦🏽♂️
