These straight women that have HUSBANDS and like men, should not be bullied by the LGBTQ community. I don't discriminate against ANYONE but I understand these women speaking up without pointing fingers. If she said, she didn't fit in, its because of the culture of WNBA players.
I don't begrudge anyone to live whatever their lifestyle is...just don't push up on someone that doesn't. I know some of the WNBA players have wives... fiancees and girlfriends. That's fine. The problem is when you start making someone that doesn't share your lifestyle choices feel uncomfortable. Even if comments are made jokingly or unwanted touches it becomes sexual harassment... teammates or coworkers.

Bridget Pettis, a name I used to hear when I started watching the WNBA since it first started in 1997. I think she played with the Phoenix Mercury with Jennifer Gillom. Great to know that she still is connected with wbb after she retired from playing.
I've always admire her skills since she was with the wings. She can freaking play. I hope she plays for the storm for a long time til she retires. Will embrace you in Seattle. Can't wait to watch you play.
The "I don't fit in" comment flew over alot of people heads. 98% of the league is apart of the letter group. So that 2% that's straight knows what's going on but keeps quiet for job security.
This is why I'm bothered by the Caitlin Clark talk saying "she'll need to adjust to the league" by all the veterans. Yes what they are saying is technically true but I know why they are saying that and that is what bothers me.
I am not going to speculate on what affected her mental strength bcs I don’t need to know. I’m just grateful that she had the support she needed and that she felt strong enough to share part of her journey. Ppl need to know that if’s ok to admit when they’re not ok. Mental health is not always easy to maintain. I’ve been ride or die for the WNBA to succeed since day one, many moons ago. I appreciate what they’re up against and it’s an industry that I’d love to see continually expand. Female basketball players went forever without a professional home in the US. I would think that the WNBA is an extremely difficult work environment for a hetero woman. I have personally witnessed LGB women that are very openly aggressive in their pursuit of presumably hetero women. The league needs to take a stand on this situation.

The underlying questions of 'lesbian pressure' in the league needs to be addressed. Whether it's true or not, the perception is there and hurting the league. Personally I think all these players are used to playing with gay or straight women going back to their college teams and know where to draw the line. If some are overly aggressive, they need to be pointed out and 'cancelled' like Weinstein and other predators.
