- UPDATE: 2021/11/15. Weekly new videos out now. Its good to be back!!!! Another Pumpkin Soup recipe. I like to think of it as Pumpkin Soup 2.0. • Pumpkin Soup Ver 2.0 -... .
Here is a delicious and super easy soup for those colder nights! Wonderfully easy and full of earthy flavours, this one is certainly a keeper!
Ingredients:
2 kg pumpkin skinned and cubed
1 large onion finely diced
1-2 large carrots
3-4 cloves of garlic finely chopped
3 sprigs of rosemary finely chopped
1000ml of chicken or vegetable stock
300 ml of cream
salt and pepper
ENJOY :) - Jak na to + styl
Excellent easy recipe. Additional ideas: bake the pumpkin with salt and butter, skin on. Then remove skin. Add pulp to blender, not skin. If no broth available, water will work. Add a little at the time while blending to get the right consistency. AND, my all time favorite, 1 jalapeño pepper, chopped, seeds removed and most membranes. Being a NAmerican, this has been a wonderful recipe to share "authentically" with friends. Also, try some Navajo fry bread. That's the best!
I was always famously a terrible cook. Like, literally I couldn't even salt water like people normally do. When I moved out of my parent's house I struggled with my inability to make a decent healthy meal. One day, a long time ago now, I decided to give some easy recipe a go, and for some reason this is the one I ended up seeing.
This recipe is now a family staple, whenever the weather's cold and I'm visiting my parents, we have this soup, it's religious. When my best friend's brother passed away, I made her this soup and thus it was crowned "the magical soup that heals all ailments". This soup is a part of some of my best and worst memories. Wonder if this guy will ever know what an impact he had on all our lives...
In fact! This is just known as The Soup. All others you have to specify, but when I tell friends and family "I'm making the soup", they all automatically know which one I'm talking about lol
@@agustinamagpie aww I hope he gets to see your comment some day!

It's a long time since I was a student, but hey, this recipe works for me.
The soup was delish.😋👌. Thanks for the recipe.
I'm glad you enjoyed it.
You can buy stock cubes from the supermarket, and then mix it with boiling water. But if you really want to do it completely homemade, then your chicken stock comes from boiling down some chicken carcasses and chicken leftovers, with some carrots, celery, salt and pepper. Its a lot of work compared to simple stock cube :)
Wish you would convert ingredients from metric to cups and tsps etc.
great soup....... great work buddy :)
Looks delicious 😋
I’m gonna make this tonight
Thanks for the recipe❤️🌸🌺👍

This recipe was great, I just tweeked it by adding some cinnamon, brown sugar nutmeg and white pepper along with the milk. Too much goodness in one bowl!
That sounds yummy!
Good idea, since this recipe has carrots in it.
@leotheduolingoowl 😂
Great and easy thanks for the upload mate 👍
Thanks mate. Good to hear the feedback.
omg i love your channel :) gonna make this asap!
Wow, really, REALLY easy... My husband was born 10/31 and our traditional Halloween / birthday dinner has always started with pumpink soup, BUT my recipe is so complicated -well, complicated for me!! and it took me hours to get ir right... Now with your recipe, I know I will enjoy cooking it. Thank you so much and if, if you could tell us how to make --easy-- scones. Forever thankfull ! ! !
I'm making this tomorrow. I'll change the recipe a bit by using sweet potato, butternut squash, pumpkin and I'll add white raisin and candied dates before using the emulsion blender. Ill use heavy cream, half and half and chicken stock, then I'll top with roasted pumpkin seeds and pine nuts. Also, I like to keep some of the butternut squash chunky, so I'll keep some cooked cubed pieces aside so that the entire soup doesn't get blended.
I saw this video and mix it with other recipe from my friend, it's really helped me to cook this soup for first time and it's still cooking 😍 thanks it seems so nice
Your very welcome. Glad you liked it.
Thank you mate this is a very easy recipe to follow the soup came out amazing I appreciate your video and because of your video I am now a subscriber well done!
Very easy to make and tastes awesome 😎
Hey Zac, whereabouts in the world are you from? I thinking that you're from New Zealand. Oh and I am very happy to subbed to you. Thank you for the recipe 🙏
Made it Twice!! Recipe is so good 😁👍👍
Great stuff
Hi, thanks for the pumpkin soup recipe- I'm making it tonight! I have a somewhat related question. A long time ago I had a Kiwi boyfriend and he taught me to make both pumpkin soup and 'mushy veg,' which was delicious and a healthier alternative to mashed potatoes, but I've kind of forgotten how to make them both. Is the mushy veg a dish you're familiar with?
From memory, I boiled up cubed potato, pumpkin and cauliflower and when they were all almost done, put in some chopped up cabbage. When it was all soft I drained it and mashed it up with a bit of garlic, butter and milk. I can't remember any of the proportions (although I think the potatoes were probably equal to the pumpkin and cauliflower combined) or if I'm missing a major ingredient or two as it doesn't taste quite right when I've tried to recreate it recently. If this is a common dish and you could give me a recipe, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks!
lol watching this brings me back to uni days thank you for the recipe! I used to follow your recipe and cook for my uni mates but tonight I will make this for my tots :)
Thanks mate. I too now make this for my little one. Crazy how time flies.
@@zacl79 what's the cream...?
Formidable Pumpkin soap.. I have all the ingredients .. tonight is the cooking.. thanks
Hey, thanks. The cream you say, is it a milk? And if I don't have chicken broth or anything, what should I substitute it?
This is a very nice recipe. Thank you Zac!
Thank you Katreena.
@@zacl79 hello Zac, planning on making new videos? Love your videos
@@raess2510 maybe. I've been thinking about it more lately. Just need to find some time.
I would add the pumpkin cooking liquid and a broth cube. Lots of flavor in that water
