    Today we are covering the Lenovo Legion Glasses with an unbox, startup, demo and 1st impressions!
    STEPS:
    HIGHLIGHTS:
    ⚫Compatible with Windows, Android & Mac.
    ⚫Creates a clear private viewing experience.
    ⚫Built in speakers.
    ⚫Brightness and volume controls on arms.
    ⚫Promotes better posture by allowing for viewing in multiple body positions; laying down with glasses on should be very relaxing.
    DRAWBACKS:
    🔴 Tried with ChromeOS, but limited functionality at the moment.
    🔴 Speakers could be louder for some devices.
    🔴 Forehead pressure as experience with other headsets, like VR units by Meta Quest.

      I am really interested getting these over the Xreal air for my writings in wordprocessing and watching 3D as well as youtube, but consider Xreal seems to be something like 3048 x 1080 whereas these "only" are 1920, but knowing Lenovo, I wonder if these Legion glasses still may be way better?! Do you have any input or info. in reg. to this perspective?
      I would highly appreciate if you could help evaluating on this issue, thanks.
      Great video by the way, I will come back and see more of your content.

      Hi TheTwsa!
      I actually use them for work for emails and filling out forms online!
      I wish I had experience with the XReal to give you more information, but I haven't tried them yet.
      The Legion Glasses work for productivity with a con: I noticed that fine print and icons are blurry at the edges of the display, which can be annoying. But look into the XReal 2, this seems to be a problem with those as well, so this may just be a wearable glasses problem at the moment.
      These are great for gaming and watching videos, but can be a bit annoying for doing productivity things.
      If productivity is your main goal, you may want to try something else. I'm hoping to try something else that works better for productivity.
      But I absolutely enjoy these for gaming and watching movies and shows. 🙂

      @@TechCrackedWeekly I think they they will work perfectly well for wordprocessing, writing a book etc., when focus is on what is in the middle of the screen and leaving edges blurry if they wanna be so, cause I can just scroll up before getting to the texting in the edges, I guess..?!
      My experience with Lenovo is, that they are just way ahead of all else in making qual products, and since these glasses gets very good feedbacks from respected techmags, I think they are the best.
      Xreal gets evaluated as projectors vs. these that seem to be more like a TV.

    • @TechCrackedWeekly
      @TechCrackedWeekly  Před 6 měsíci

      @@TheTwsa I agree. If you're looking at the center of the display for writing, this won't be a problem.
      I think we'll also see improvements with future generations as this product category is in its infancy still. 🙂

      @TheTwsa Před 6 měsíci

      @@TechCrackedWeekly Lenovov vs Xreal, TLC etc. as around same pricerange arond black friday, I think Lenovo is the best; It seems Xreal is more like a projector, which these does not seem like? Am I correct in finding, that these are more like a TV or monitor than a projector?
      Lenovo is normally for businesses and not a poptoy, which seems to be more the case for the others, that make more out of the design and lightweight than usablity.

    I have heard that you can, using the buttons on the glasses, pin the virtual screen in space, so that it does not follow your head movement. I would love to see you play around with this. How well does it work? since the classes don't have a camera, only a gyroscope and a IMU.

      I wanted to get back to you Neppord. I haven't seen anything in the owner's manual yet where we can pin the display, but if I find anything I'll give an update! Thank you once again for bringing this up! 🙂

    • @Neppord
      @Neppord Před 6 měsíci

      I have found a old instruction manual that says you need to long hold (2s) the + volume button to toggle anchor mode. And you can reset the position by long holding the - volume button.
      I hope this is still the case, since it would make it easier to use them for work, since i usually focus, by turning my head, on GUI elements like text fields etc.

      @@fgerv I totally agree! I really wish it was on here! But it doesn't appear to be. I can get use to not having it, but I agree! It is a really nice feature which I've seen on the Meta Quest! Definitely a must! 🙂

      @@Neppord Hi Neppord!
      Super appreciate the information as we investigate this together! I can't thank you enough!
      I did try this and unfortunately no luck.
      I think they skipped on this feature which would have been great to have as I am using them with my PC while editing video.

      Hi Terminator!
      Thanks for your question! I haven't noticed anything on the glasses themselves. I also checked the owner's manual and didn't see a mention of a focus slider. I would like to see something like that here though! Great thought.
      It looks like these have a large emphasis on adding corrective lenses.
