  • The new, cutting-edge machine from all my nerdy dreams has just arrived: the Lenovo Legion Go.
    I named it "Juggernaut".
With its giant, vibrant screen and powerful specs is my very first handheld PC …and truly the only piece of technology able to push me back to the distressing realm of existence called Windows.
A shiny, elegant dark box contains the (massive) included carrying case, that pleasantly introduces my senses to Lenovo's attention to detail and smart engineering, with the circular base for the detachable mouse resting in the center, not to mention a tiny little flap/entryway that allows you to charge the device while protected by its robust shell.
The Legion Go's design allows the user to detach the side controllers, leaving the unit resting on the stand that extends from its back, in order to control the action on screen almost like it was a more advanced, versatile, way more powerful and gigantic Nintendo Switch.
But the feature that sets the Legion Go apart from anything else is what Lenovo calls "FPS Mode".
You can attach the included circular base to the right controller and transform it into a joystick/mouse hybrid, with buttons and a scrolling wheel placed in the right spots. Incredibly, the brain adjusts pretty soon to such ingenuous mechanism and it's a truly cool, refreshing experience.
Being a Windows 11-based PC, with way more things to manage and keep track of (compared to Apple devices), the Go is already transforming me into the busiest geek on the planet, constantly tinkering, tweaking, messing with bios and drivers, installing programs, services, all sorts of emulators, games, and experimenting with features and settings. I think I spent 10 straight hours testing the beast just yesterday, which was day 1 of the adventure. At the end of it, I looked at the clock showing me that it was 2 in the morning, and I remember I though to myself "That clock is soooo low-tech, and it better shut up"
Ultimately, to complete my handheld PC set up, I had to pair my Juggernaut machine with a ProtoArc XK01 foldable bluetooth keyboard. I've never tried anything by this brand before, but ProtoArc has already impressed me with some great looking packaging (that includes a black envelope with a thank-you message from the lead designer), an overall premium feel and lots of style, for a keyboard that is all about functionality and ultra-portability. These guys even threw a beautiful carrying pouch in the mix without bragging about it too much.
So, in case you're wondering why I'm here sharing all of this, when the majority of people has already escaped many sentences ago, I can tell you why. Simply because, when I'm this excited about something new and innovative, I either step outside and scream my enthusiasm from the balcony wile dangerously jumping up and down(but I'm too close to the local police station for that), or I put it in words and craft a video about it.
    That's the Marco-way.
