AN INCREDIBLE man, husband, soldier, father, grandfather and player... I had an opportunity to meet him twice
Yogi Berra: A true, authentic American treasure.
They don't make 'em like Yogi anymore...
Ballplayers....
or human beings.
God broke the mold when he made Yogi. One of the greatest catchers ever. A war hero and a humble family man and teammate. That's some testament to leave behind.
Purple hearts and an 8th grade education. There is no other
A Mensch for all seasons...
I'm really emotional from this. It's okay to cry, we lost a legend.
Big guys cry. We all have emotions
This was JUST AWESSSSOME !!! I just TOTALLY FELT Kay's emotion when he broke down and I'm not ashamed to say I was crying RIGHT ALONG WITH HIM !! If that story doesn't TOUCH YOUR HEART then your heart IS MADE OF STONE !!
Yogi was--and will ALWAYS be--a prince among men!!!
"You can observe a lot by watching."
AWESOME!!!
@@milehighed52801 "You should always go to other people's funerals. That way, they'll come to yours."
@@8avexp Lol! There was only one Yogi. No wonder why he was so well liked. Loyal to his friends, especially The Scooter who was another nice guy.
@@milehighed52801 Yogi was absolutely correct when he said, "It ain't over until it's over."
Yogi is a true friend. All who knew him must have been lucky.
Talk about a winner. As player, coach, or manager, Yogi Berra was on every
pennant-winning Yankees team from the year I was born (1947) until I had been
through college and was married for 10 years (1981).
nice story about Yogi and Phil
I started crying too! Crying now, RIP Yogi
Baseball at one time was more than just a game. When something like this make everyone want to cry, you know that it's more than just a game. It was a huge part of our lives .
Baseball is not the same anymore so these feelings have little by little gone away as our great Yankees have passed on. Hopefully adonde day we can get back to the good old days when I used to love this game .
But will always love the New York Yankees
It's Gonna Be Sad When Albert Pujols Eventually Leaves Us Pujols Was By Far One Of The Most Feared Hitter In His Prime Not To Mention He Was An 3 Time NL MVP And 2 Time World Series Champion And The First Player To Reach 700 Career Home Runs
bill white said the same how he used to drive to the ALF from philly and just gold phil's hand at the end...moving
😢
I lived in St Louis for about six years. At one point I sat in front of Yogi's childhood house with Garagiola's on the other side of the street. It was just a nice feeling.
Now Yogi & Phil can hang in Heaven. RIP Yogi
Yogi was one of those players that even if you hated the Yankees, you couldn't help but to love.......
R.I.P YOGI
He has finally being called by GOD to join his team!
Real men can and do cry. I never met either of those fine gentlemen. They were great teammates and players, but most importantly great people. I did feel like I did know them in a way. A part of it is being a Yankees fan, but also part of it was that I’m also a Italian American. Truthfully, I’m only half.....but the better half. Lol!!! Just kidding Mom!
Thanks for sharing, Michael. My respect for you just shot up more. 👍🏻👍🏻
Bond? Were they gay?
I hope cashman and Boone watched this ! You've lost the heart of the Yankees! You got the power to do something for the GAME ! Yankee Pride !
