I am so confused, you are saying head over to the CZcams channel for more videos on this device, but as far as I can tell, there are no other videos. Are you speaking about videos of similar products or videos to be uploaded later?
Yep, this video is slightly ahead of everything. There is a video - What do I need to run Cloud Gateway Ultra coming out shortly which runs through the setup and how to do Multi WAN etc.
I have an UDR at home. Is the UCG Ultra a good choice for home users? In my case, are there any benefits to have one in my setup?
The UCG is a Unifi OS Network Controller + Router. Your UDR is an OS Console (supports network, access, protect etc), is a router and an access point. So unless you need more than 500mb/s on the internet side, adding a UCG probably only duplicates what you already have more than adding to it. I hope this helps.
Very interested to see real tests, how powerful CPU, how hungry unit to RAM utilization, maybe how write scripts for unifi to automatically change DNS
We have a video coming out shortly that will show setting up and using the failover WAN feature, along with speeds tests for throughput. On a 1Gb/s speed test we saw around 880 - 910Mb/s which is about right for a 1Gb/s connection allowing for overheads and testing. When we turned on IDS this dropped by about 30 -50Mb/s
Can I use this to run a G4 dome camera instead of the UCK-G2 Plus?
I am afraid not. The Cloud Gateway Ultra does not have enough storage and only runs Unifi Network
