    She deserves for her story to be heard. Those other women did not have her back, and all she wanted was for her team (the girls and herself) to WIN!!! & they let men, and the powers that be distract and disrupt what they had going! & they could’ve been THE BIGGEST, BEST, and LONGEST standing group.

      Well said it's the lack of understanding and if we have not walked miles in her shoes, how could we really know the story unless Dawn tells it.

    I have been a huge EnVogue fan from the beginning. No offense to the other ladies, however Dawn has always been my favorite. Collectively the formula is missing without the ORIGINAL members. With the amazing talent that Dawn has, along with experience and knowledge, Dawn should start her own Label.

    Dawn you don’t have to forgive Raphael and you shouldn’t . If the interviewer wants to forgive him so be it. But I don’t think it’s right to put pressure on Dawn.

      @authorconsuelameann  Před 3 lety +3

      I don't feel I put pressure on her. I just wanted her to know people can be very disappointing but as hard is it may be, if we are still alive we have another day to make it right and move on. When we learn the lesson from it we forgive them, ourselves and move on! She is not done, she has so much more fire in her. We forgive people for us but they don't always deserve a front seat in our life. Thank you so much for your feedback and for watching.

      First I wanna say that I enjoyed the interview but your statement is actually expressing your point of view and I think that’s a mistake.. Dawn was giving you her opinion but you inserted yours over hers. I’m not down with all of this forgiveness nonsense just because it’s popular but my opinion isn’t important. I think when you’re interviewing someone it’s important to allow them to express themselves.

I was like yeah, WOW! That part of the interview kinda ruined the rest, especially to keep diggin for almost another 10 minutes, talmbout, Raphael "sounded" remorseful on TBC... SMH. t=12:13

    think you're a good listener and gave Dawn good points about her Biopic/ Book. I think you're going to be a great author! I will subcribe. I'm so inspired by Dawn's bravery and not being afraid to take a stand and speak up! I wish envouge would have stood up with Dwan and had her back, it seems like Dwan had everyone's back she accompanied but no one had her back!!! Dammit I know the feeling, I don't blame Dwan for being self full, I get it! I wish Dwan all the blessings God have for her and you too! Peace Light and blessings to both of you Queens💪🏾

    Dawn, I agree with your stance. There is a double-standard for women in the music business. I wish for you to do the inner work to heal from the wounds created from the mistreatment and disrespect and betrayals. And most of all, I wish you much success in being in charge of your career independently. I agree for you to move on and surround yourself with those who respect you and take you seriously. Looking forward to what you will create next.

    Well, I always wondered why we feel that we have to be fighting to be somebody. People should take time to feel their spirit for once. They should be trying to contact their reinforcements. Meaning, their spiritual guidance pilot. Whatever that is for you. You should be finding it. The music business is a farce for emotional crippled people. When I hear the group dynamic rollercoaster of Envogue, which Dawn was privi to be a part of, and Lucy Pearl- I kind of went through that often, being an artist myself over the years. She still sounds bitter about a lot of it. But, that's fine too. That's her reality, and life. She lost a lot, and she became stronger as a result. Holding a grudge is not letting go. But, she will learn.

    • @cortezmiller1899
      @cortezmiller1899 Před 3 lety +2

      Well that’s not her being bitter then. She still hurt by Cindy’s and Terry’s unfairness. She was treated bad by them, all she was doing, was speaking up for her group. Then Raphel treated her bad as well. So she has the right to be somewhat bitter.

      @@cortezmiller1899 She has the right to feel bitter, but for how long. That's the question. Those three has moved on. It's life Dawn ,you win some ,you lose some. She still has the opportunity to participate in the game. If that is still vital for her.

      @veronicaancrum4871 Před 3 lety +3

      Every black person on this planet should be angry and bitter about being exploited by this economic capitalist predatory system. The music industry embodies all of this shit. Look up all of the music Black people have been responsible for producing and not earning a dime from their hard work and even Sam Cooke who had his own publishing company stolen by his attorney. Guess his family should forgive the thieves.

    The thing is:Dawn saw the writing on the wall in terms of knowing that they were gonna be screwed like all the other artists and expecting her girls to recognize and have her back which is having THEIR backs.Stay off these channels and let the book come out.My worry is that some illness or death(god forbid) prevents them from getting back together.Because of their uniqueness,it’s still some of that new money to be made but if they wait too late,they may not be able to come back plus the way music is today,the fans have a microwave mentality and may not accept them coming back.Drama rules today so kumbaya may be meh!
