Badass Lily Nice job! I love this idea. Way to think outside the box!
Thanks EJ. Noone is more badass than you tough :)
My sentiment exactly
I like that you show your failures in these videos, using bone as a riser for take down is something I never seen. You may be able to notch out a shelf
That was my thought as well just can't notch too deep
i agree i made that comment the other week. Lilly shows us the failures as well as the success's. we need to realise that even when you know what youre doing things can still go wrong.
I'm sure lots of people thought of the notch. I do understand that it's an emergency tool, and as such it's done and done well. In longer term you can always add little improvements.
Another thing I was thinking, it would be interesting to test it on longer range: the archer paradox might correct a bit of it.
Yes, great, well deserved success.
You never cease to amaze me. Congratulations on the million subs. You deserve every one.
Great job. That bow seemed to handle pretty well for a relatively quick build. Ash is a good choice for the limbs. My dad carved a bow for me from a single piece of ash when I was a kid. I played around with that bow for several years before it eventually broke.
Amazing job, Lilly! You have a way of making these skills seem attainable to the average person. Thank you!!
I only found you recently on CZcams while looking at getting into archery. What's struck me more is everything else you do too, seems like you're living your authentic life. Regards from England 🏴 👍
You never seem to run out of creativity which is one of the many reasons I enjoy watching your videos. When you get excited over an accomplishment of yours it makes me smile every time with your enthusiastic excited laugh and facial expressions. You're absolutely adorable! I'm headed outdoors today to practice my bowdrill fire starting skills and of course using my/your APO1S knife I just received last week. Don't ever stop learning and sharing your creativity!
Much respect to your work ethic. 1M subs and you are still going strong!
What a creative idea to use a riser made out of a bone. A true survival bow . It is so enjoyable to hear you laugh and cheer at your good shots on target . What a great job. Well done Lilly.....Michigan, USA
This is one of my favourite films of your projects, the improvisation of the cow bone as a handle is truly inspired 💡⭐️💡⭐️💡⭐️💡
Me studying in Russian language pivit me American Texan that is a beautiful bow I made one out of PVC pipe very glad to see you again
Hey, that is so cool, so awesome. I'm headed to the butcher, gotta get me one of those....
Use a Sharpie marker, on your hat that says Canada, put "truckers" on there. Do it for liberty, for survival!.. please 🥰
This brought memories making bows as a young boy, of course none were of the quality shown in your videom but I had fun. Thanks Lily!
Excellent work. Not just practical in this one instance, but food for thought as well. You are a wonderful teacher.
Nice Job!!! Love it when people learn to think outside of the box and can adapt to what they have. You are an awesome lady. Thanks for sharing. Gott Segne from the USA.
I enjoyed watching this, I love the ways you use to test by drawing using the branch to tighten to show weekness and shape,.and works well and looking good.
Real stuff lilly real organic 💯👍💂❤️
Awesome video as always Lilly. I have a bunch of deer bones in woods where I have my bushcraft camp. I made a bearing block for a bow drill set from the leg knuckle part which works great. I’ll try using one of the leg bones for a riser when I make a primitive takedown bow. Thanks for sharing.
@@lindasano1552 I think it was a small deer from the size of the skull I found. It’s been there for many years before I found it. Bones are bleach white, no trace of meat and marrow all gone. There are only foxes and coyotes around my area and they stay away from me.
Bravo Lily! You are an inspiration to the outdoor woman!
Lilli nice work thanks for bringing us along.
Also your lower limb can be stronger than your upper limb, because your hand position is usually is lower than the center of the bow. Because your hand position is below center, it makes your lower limb shorter. So, it’s okay for your lower limb to be stiffer, or stronger.
I just made a bow right now, and for the first time it did great. It didin't broke, the arrow was shot, and i was happy, at last. A green bow, using olnly a branch of a unknown tree, with flexible and strong branches. I did not removed matterial from the branch, because he was alredy flexible enough.
Great job Lilly!
Great job, Lilly!
This is the best bow that you have made yet Lilly! It looks great with the cow bone too.
I love all of your videos and have for years. They are a great treat to watch. You never disappoint. Thank you!
a couple tips on firestarting - no hardwoods, no resinous wood - cottonwood is a good choice
Gratulation zu der Abo-Million, Lilly!
👍
Wieso nur war mir nach wenigen Sätzen klar, dass Sie meinen Glückwunsch verstehen können?
😄
That IS pretty awesome. Ive never seen a bow made that way before. I used to make them with just one stick, but I was just a kid messin around. I'm gonna have to try something like this.
Great job Lilly.
I love that genuine excitment when it works! it's catching
As usual, you never cease to amaze me. I'll be looking for a bovine femur now. Thanks for all you teach.
Great job. You never cease to amaze me!
I love these videos!!! Thanks Lilly for making videos like this!! It has been really helpful 😊
Thank you for the information that will keep us alive , and the instructions to make it happen.
This is a great idea. Thanks lilly!
Great job and a fantastic video!
Good idea! great work Lili
One of my most accurate arrows only has one feather. Well done Lilly!!
8:48 Damn baby! You could bring down a rabbit with that. I was skeptical at first but you actually pulled it off.
Nice job Lilly!
Lily is a beast. God bless you Lily.
Congrats on a million subs Lilly!
Great job.. Your bow work is AWSOME!! . Have you seen arrows made with a draw knife or a plate die? A little more advanced but still in your skill set.
I wish you would start a "wooden Pallet" series.. Make a fire starting kit, a Bow, arrows, a Baton, a throwing stick, etc, Most wooden pallets are made of a hardwood. You can use more tools than just your knife. I believe you have the skills and the BRAIN power to do these feats.
Used to make arrows like that as a kid and a bow, but much more simple, just the same tree bent with a strong line. To aim, we would put a thumb in front of the handle because it was more straight and would give a more accurate shot. Well, as accurate as kids can be. We did not had the bright idea to make a target, just shot them randomly.
A primitive take-down bow! Very cool!
Amazing! You could survive any situation with just your buschcraft knife!
If I was lost in the woods, I would only hope that you would happen to come by!
Thanks as always for sharing your knowledge! We learn so much from your channel!
When the knock of the arrow is pointing left at the target, that usually indicates it’s too stiff. Yes, it’s because it’s striking the bow handle (bone)and causing the arrow to “kick” or bounce to the left.
Add tip weight, or increase bow poundage. Or, in your case, pull further back (increase draw length). I understand it’s a survival bow, you are limited on proper arrow tuning capabilities. Yet, you still did an excellent job getting your survival bow to shoot accurately at short yardage. I was impressed.
Well done! Adapt and overcome, you never know what you can do until you try!! As Doug Marcadia would say “ it will keel”.
Great Lilly! 👍
You could always try duck tape in place of feathers. i’ve tried it before and it works pretty good.
Super cool
Looks like you've made the prototype for a survival bow riser. With a few design modifications, you could probably have it produced out of glass reinforced nylon and marketed with instructions on making your own limbs in the field. I have to wonder what the interest and demand for such a thing would be. It's very interesting to me. You're an incentive and creative woman.
Impressive! Thanks Lily ✌😎👍❤
Great job with the bow and arrow! You are getting fast with the fire bow, too.
Nicely done
3:24 You saw a deer. I saw 130 deer yesterday in a 20 trip in northern Minnesota. Hopefully they survive the winter. We've had alot of snow this year.
That was AWSOME!
Excellent job
Very ingenious. Bone riser is a great idea. Nice job Lily!
You are getting way better at bow building. Sweet
great job!! you show it for what it is and i respect that
Very nice work.
Great idea and great video!
What a cracking idea. Shot!
Love the channel!
Love the bone trick. Thank you once again. Love and blessings from Ontario Canada!
Definitely need to practice my skills with the bow!
Wow, great build. I once made a very basic survival bow out of one piece of maple but it ended breaking a little while ago so I got a recurve takedown bow. I really want to try this in order to get used to higher poundage. Really Intresting fletchings on the arrow. I never thought to only tie one side down.
Think the feathers act sort of like a drag chute, just to keep the nock end from trying to come around sideways. You would have to do a true fetching to make the arrow spiral in flight. But it seems to work well for a survival arrow. 😳 I'll have to try this set up. Love the bone. True MacGyver! THAT'S why Lilly is the BOSS!😍
Congrats on 1 mil good video
Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Have a blessed day.
Really cool and unique idea !
Very well done Lilly. Bow has some pretty good power & would bring you food in a pinch.
Nice job!
Поздравляю с 1 млн подписчиков!

It's pleasure to see how much fun you have.
I just discovered your channel, great stuff!
Wonderful!! I've learned so much from you.
Congrats on 1M subs!!
Brilliant !
Well done Lilly
Primitive survival.bow/spear never gets old, cause everytime it's a diffrent, for better or for worse. But you always learn something new, thanks Lilly, I bet you could tour the states with expo convention class and make some Hella $$$ write. A book and lemme get that auto graph
After SHTF I want to be a member of the Lilly Clan! Amazing! :)
Great idea! I really enjoyed this video. Thank you Lily ❤️
Great idea.
Really enjoying this series, as good as extreme survival for sure. Looking forward to the next!
That's a really cool idea with the bone
I think your channel is great. Thanks for your work.
Love your vids!
Wow! What a great idea! Unique! "Thank you, Charlie." 🤣👍
great idea!!
Nice bow...works great...
I love your videos thank you for all the wisdom and skills
If you heat bone correctly, like horn, you can form it. The Asians made their bow limbs, and the Native Americans made their tools (knives, arrowheads, etc) this way.
Great video
That bow is awesome
I like all your vids!
But, this vid was particularly and exceptionally interesting!
GREAT JOB !!! 👍
