HARDCORE NUZLOCKE RULES (POKEMON HARD MODE)

1. Only Pokemon with a Psychic-typing can be used in battle.
2. I can only try to catch the first Psychic-type that I encounter in each area.
3. If a Pokemon faints it cannot be used for the remainder of the run.
4. If my whole team faints then the attempt is over.
5. No items in battle (held items are okay).
6. Set mode enabled.
7. I cannot over-level beyond the highest level of the next gym. The level cap is shown in the overlay.
8. No duplicate species can be caught. Encounters for species that I have caught previously are re-rolled.
9. Any shiny Psychic-type can be caught regardless of whether it is the first encounter of an area.
10. WILD AREA: Limit of one initial encounter on my first visit and one additional encounter for each gym badge. Isle of Armor encounters are included in this limit.

I would have chosen gallade since hatterene covers the fairy typing but there's nothing else that gives you a fighting type

I think that Gallade would have been better for two reasons:
(1) unique Fighting coverage + Swords Dance;
(2) it is a physical attacker unlikely most of your pokemons
===> in my opinion, a rerun is mandatory.

It has been suggested that Slowpoke are actually smart but are in a such deep meditative state they become unaware of their surroundings.
Couldn't you have technically caught a Blipbug on route 1 after you got to Slowpoke? Could have made the whole Team Yell fiasco a whole lot easier. I'm not sure if you do later in the run, But Blipbug was right there

Can vouch for Blipbug. It's a tank when it becomes Orbeetle.
IK I'm late to the party but his ruleset wouldn't allow him to USE Blipbug until it evolved... he's still a bit of a fool for not catching one of course, but Slowpoke was the first pokemon he could use right away
If Blipbug was on the same route as Slowpoke then no unless blip bug is on any other route as well.
And you can use blipbug later once the level Cap allows it to become Orbettle. The same happens with all Pokemon who gains the Nuzlockes type in their evolution of their pre-evos don't have it yet.

I never realized she was my fav pokemon since Emerald which is the first game I've ever played. I had to get her in the 4th generation to truly understand her power. Gardevoir is great as a Psychic/Fairy type. She's gotten me out of some pretty tough situations especially beating Cynthia with moonblast. I'm so excited she's in Scarlet and Violet lol

Gardevoir fell, so sad, she's one of my favorite pokemons, and deaths in nuzlockes makes me very sad. Great video tho, I love psychic type!

You could’ve gotten a Blipbug encounter in Route 1 because it evolves into Dottler before the first gym, which gains a secondary psychic typing, and with an evolite can become bulky very quickly.

@@mosunmolaadebomi6592 because gallade is a gen 4 pokemon and gardevoir is a gen 3 pokemon. it seemed like they wanted gallade to be the male equivilant and gardevoir the female equilvilant but since there were already male gardevoirs they couldnt change it back or something idk
Great video, however you missed an encounter from the very beginning of the game on route 1 in Blipbug which evolves into the Bug/Psychic Pokemon Orbeetle

I always pick gardevoir over gallade. It has nothing to do with stats, but the first pokemon game I ever played was X, and the mega evolution of gardevoir made such a huge impact on my 14 year old brain, it instantly became one of my favorite pokemon.
In this scenario either Gardevoir or Gallade is viable because they both gain a type to deal with your arch nemesis dark types.

In Gen 8, Synchronize ability has 100% chance of the wild Pokémon having the same nature.

Most of the time I always go with fire type starters Charizard being my fav but in Galar m always a member of GrookeyGang. Also in Sinnoh my fav starter is Turtwig and in Johto it's Chikorita

With Fairy types, Psychic got a buff against Dark types since most of them can use some Fairy moves. With some even gaining the Fairy type themselves.
Oranguru can also be found in the Glimwood Tangle. I ran into a lot of them while looking for a Ponyta in my Shield

You can only have upto 1 of each type. And Dualtypes take up BOTH slots,

I would fully evolve my ralts into gallade since it has fighting type and dark types are weak to fighting types
Dark types are also weak to fairy, so it doesn't matter

my favourite is gardevoir, because its range of moves covers more, it just has always been my top 1 favourite. Though, gallade is really awesome too!
Fun little fact: slowpoke is actually extremely smart, its so smart in fact that it can't even comprehend all it knows, which is why it is always gazing and not paying attention.

Bronzong perhaps the best steel type there is too. Hard defence, high sp atk and good against Poison types. Also can tank fire types is huge. I use Bronzong in Violet to grind level my pokemon where is a lot of Toxicitry and I evolved almost all pokemon I have. Its psychic powers are insane good. Psychic and Extrasensory just KO all poison types. And Fighting types too. Its also the best Stealth Rock user of all time. Really love this bell also one of the best pokemon based Lore ever!
I would choose gardevior is your playing sword since the fighting type gym can’t do anything to it and gallade for shield since it would come in handy for like half of the major battles in that version

grookey is the hardest choice here actually cause Hops starter will learn some nice dark type moves meaning harder for you, the sucker punchs i had to deal with this run were brutal, typing this half a minute in lol

i used orbeetle for my psychic nuzlocke which survived all the way through the game
my ending team was:
bronzong
claydol
orbeetle
rest didnt survive (meowstic, beheeyam and wobbafet)
