I hate when people blame the victim for the suicide attempts of other people…like why you mad at op?? Edit: also those half siblings are awful for trying to guilt her into babysitting and I cant believe the egg donor actually bit and attacked her own daughter?? Crazy family for sure
Those half siblings are weird. Even if you are poly, the whole community drives home "informed consent." Otherwise, you're just a horny sleazeball - which they undoubtedly know. Trying to make the whole situation OP's fault for not going along with something she had never discussed with her fiance is amazing. Somehow, they grew up with everyone else and managed to have a completely different set of morality AND no knowledge of the morality of the people around them. OP grew up in a pit of narcissists.
I am not sure which is worse. The mother who cheated before being ok with helping a cheater though she claimed to regret it, or the half-siblings in the open relationship who know OP did not swing that way but was ok with forcing their views on OP.
Wow! She really talked fast! It reminded me of a divorce attorney from new york that my ex hired to try to drag me through the mud. It worked for a bit, as I ended up paying for child support for 3 step daughters and alimony for about 6 months. But in the end, she lost after the judge got pissed that she was trying to drag things out for as long as she could. Plus, despite evidence and witnesses to the contrary, her fake crocodile tears during testimony were the last straw for the judge. As an illustration of what an asshole bitch she was, she stated that she feared for her life in my presence, so I was strip searched by the deputies before every hearing. Yeah, I thought about revenge, but even though her daughters deserved a much better egg donor, it is all that they had. I’ve stayed in their lives, and now I’m dad, grandpa, and great grandpa. I get invited to all family gatherings and their egg donor doesn’t.
The OP had every right to do what she did. "Alex" and "Peach" did bad, but the mother actually sabotaged her own daughter's marriage out of "revenge for 'ruining her life'..." when she was the one who had an affair is beyond disgusting. "Peach" and "Alex", just like the mother, are trying to gaslight in order to justify their behavior.
I would never hide an affair. I do not care if it was a friend/family member who was being cheated on or cheating themselves. I would be open with the person being cheated on.
Ok, let me offer a suggestion. Don't have an affair in the first place? Being honest about it after the fact still means you had an affair which hurts everyone involved.

Your story is incredibly moving and emotional. I truly empathize with what you're going through and admire your strength in sharing this. How did you manage to stay calm and handle the situation when you discovered the affair and confronted your family and fiancé?
