About The Boys:
The Boys is an irreverent take on what happens when superheroes, who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians and as revered as Gods, abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. It's the powerless against the super powerful as The Boys embark on a heroic quest to expose the truth about "The Seven", and their formidable Vought backing.

Whoever cast Homelander needs a pay raise.
But casting the best guy is their job, so they just did their job. Nothing more and definitely not less.

Homelander’s backstory is what sold the character for me. Grew up in a lab without parents or any social comfort with continuous experimentation is the perfect breeding ground for narcissism and sociopathy. He never had anyone genuinely love him at all, and being a superhero with superficial praise constantly boosted his narcissism.
He’s not bad for the sake of being bad or had some supernatural turn to evil. He experienced severe psychological trauma
Nah Homelander wasnt evil until Black Noir came

Simple is perfect 🥴
I have a feeling he went hands-on with the tactical guys in the season finale. Pretty sure that's the only time you see him covered in blood.
I think it is done on purpose because in the comics, the CEO of Vought just tells Homelander how unimpressive he is because even though he has all these powers, he still uses them the same way as any lesser being would have if such powers were granted to it
I love the utter disgust and detest Maeve has towards him in almost every scene.
One of the changes the show makes I really like is homelander. In the comics he was basically a man baby that was given the powers of a god being able to do whatever he wanted because he was homelander. Unlike here where he is a genuine psychopath you are scared of. The show makes him much more menacing
I believe he is sociopath not psychopath
He's fairly intelligent too. For someone so far off the mental health grade A he reads people extremely well and knows exactly how to rile them up. His charisma levels can be extremely high.

Honestly, I watched the pilot, and seeing the main characters girlfriend smashed to bits by a high speedster got me interested, then the end of the episode with the music playing got me hooked. But it was Anthony Star’s performance that got me watching the whole thing and greatly anticipating his death.
You'll be waiting a long time. He's not going anywhere soon. In canon, he's present at the finale. Since this is network tv, not sure if it will ever make it that far or get cancelled somewhere in between.

The outcome depends only on which version of Supes is in the fight, but only with regard to how that outcome is reached. Regardless of which Supes it is he's going to win, but if for example you were talking Supes from Injustice storyline then he'll flat out murder the other 2 in about 5 minutes. Mainline Supes is still going to win, but it'll take longer, he won't kill either of them, and they'll wreck WAY more real estate.
