This was an old Irish folk song I believe. The unicorns didn't get on the Ark, so when it started to rain they were just dancing around until....they drowned.
No matter how you feel about this movie, the mythical creatures denying the ark was a stroke of genius.

When you think about it in order for Noah’s ark to “work” you need the animals chosen to be the horniest animals in the world. This movie seems to accurately portray this in several scenes.

granted the whole by two's was the "unclean" animals like pigs etc but there was a few ranks as it were of e.g "clean" herd animals like sheep in groups of 7 but this part is always over looked
@@mercurioslevin1877 I think that's because the 7 where used for sacrifices and food. Also it doesn't change the fact that most animals would fail to survive with even 7 pairs. I think you'd need what? 28 pairs generally to survive? Basically enough that each animal is actually genetically unique or else just one disease and its over for like a 6-10 generations

A lot of the things this movie does are great, I liked the depiction of God, and that bit about the mythical creatures deciding against going on the Ark was clever and funny. It's a shame that other parts of the movie were so poor

Fun fact: before the flood came there was no rain, water just covered the ground as mist. So when rain fell and flooded everything it must’ve been so horrifying to the people not on the ark.

I watched this movie as a kid on theather ON the country it was made and let me tell you, the dubbed english version is SO MUCH MORE TAMED. For example, Panthy's song, in english she says "If I eat you it's not bad because it's all part of the plan", but in it's original language, Latin Spanish she says "Pues vivirás adentro mío" instead of "it's all part of the plan" which translates to "you'll live inside me"... I don't have to explain why this is an issue :')

If the movie is anything you describe it, it's hilarious. I mean there are so unexpected things it hits hard. I wish it was remade but with better quality voiceacting and smoothing out the rough plot points but introducing even more crazy shit. I love these kids of trippy movies.

In Italian this movie has something that makes it even more awkward. Some of the names are changed by the original, and it's FULL of regional dialects. Plus, Xiro (named Tanga here in Italy, which means "thong") is voiced by late Tonino Accolla, the historical Italian voice actor of Homer Simpson, while Panty (renamed Giobella) is voiced by Monca Ward, Lisa's Italian VA. So, the scenes where she flirts with him may sound veeeeery inappropriate to Italian audience.
This movie was released in Italy in 2008, I was just six years-old but I still remember all the commercials so yes, it had a theatrical release and it wasn't the censored cut (I saw it on DVD some months later, and I still remember all those jokes I was unable to get while my mother was).

@@tarry1972 mathematical calculations have been done and based on the Ark's dimensions, it could very easily support 2 of all the land animals and birds that would have been on board. Especially considering they didn't necessarily need to be adult animals.
The better problem is how they logistically handled the animals, not how the Ark floated.
I remember watching the uncensored on some christian holiday in school when I was in grade 3. My older friend and I noticed the mature themes immediately and couldn't understand how it was supposed to be a religious film I guess the teachers had never seen it before.

Maybe Noah’s family having different accents and ethnicities is the movies explanation as to how there are so many different ethnicities in the world. They were the ‘first’ family after all. I can imagine that’s how you could explain the origins of diversity to a kid
Fun fact; I have this movie on disc and my mom bought it when I was younger. My mom loves this movie and it's jokes, and not to mention the original Spanish voice overs are pure gold- and the funny part is that my family is Christian and yet we find this fucking hilarious-

I wanna recomend a kids show from my childhood, the show is called "octonauts" it was made in 2010 in britan, the show is basiclly about a group of anthro animals helping and saving ocean creatures and the flora.
One thing to meanction of the show is that it feels like it's kinda all over the place, but not chaotic, and it's also has more than 3 movies where all of them are on netfilx and all of the show is on youtube, i would really recomend this show, not just because of nostalgia but

Idk, furry stuff aside, this movie is pretty radical in it's interpretation of gods and human religion. The fact they acknowledge that Christian God is not only aware of the other gods, but that they are older and he's jealous of them is honestly genius. I can see why Christians got their nickers in a knot, if not for getting that historically accurate joke, than for the fact that God wasn't a buff white dude. Honestly, the furry stuff was probably an afterthought to them.

this may be a FAQ but is there a reason why you're doing the dubbed version instead of the original? Is there not a a Spanish version of this film? There are good dubs out there, but a lot of the ones that aren't done by major studios are trash. Might not have made much of a difference for this film, but I'm always interested in the original language. I'm wondering if maybe they went through more than one studio during production or more than one writer/lead designer on this. The character designs and animation are weirdly disparate.
