- 2019-02-14 In this video we get an inside look at the SoundTools booth and all of their current and upcoming projects from head engineer & owner Dave Rat. There is so much going on in this small team & it was great to spend a few minutes hearing what they're working on now and what ideas they have for the future.
Thanks SoundTools!

Leave it to Dave Rat to think about miniature truck pack while building the packaging for his awesome devices.
Man, I love how Dave pushes the industry forward! The attention to detail and quality is unmatched!
Dave Rat has got to be the most detailed OCD person I've even met. He sees beyond what we see, and hears beyond what we hear.
I’ve been waiting for this video. Lots of cool stuff. That NL8 sniffer sounds cool. Thanks for posting.
Love the Rat Man
that drum thumper is brilliant... I have always wanted something in my monitor to help with understanding what's happening with the bass drum... as well as what it sounds like but also with what that bass drum is "doing" out there
Made it in on this one too 😋 great video man!
Ha! Was hoping you'd see it!
I’ve had an ground him issue using their superCAT cables where I sent clear comm down pair one and then d&b amp remote control down pair4. Pretty’ sure it’s because of the way the amp remotes are wired but haven’t looking into it as much
can you show your ethernet snake you use? Including the stage box setup. I was wondering how big/what the snake would look like and how big for 100 meter cable? Thanks
Hey Doug, are you asking about running multiple ethernet cables in a loom to make up a bigger snake? The companies I work for typically only makes up looms like that with network cable when they are needed specific to a job. When we need to hit specific runs (flying etc.) and need to include network cables for control and video, then they will make something up. Otherwise, it's show up with a trunk full of shielded network cable in different lengths & a few rolls of e-tape to loom them as you go if needed. Let me know if I misunderstood your question though.
@@DcSoundOp Dave thanks for the reply. I appreciate your answer , it's helped me solve several questions/ problems I've had. Your videos have helped mé tremondously. Thanks.
Happy to help Doug. I'm Steve by the way, Dave has a great YT channel too if you're not subscribed to him - czcams.com/channels/_nJM07b0k7C9CvcM-9OH6w.html - thanks again for the message, have a great weekend!
But I was looking forward to the investigation into the bogus breakout boxes... any way we can see the footage?
Hey Edoardo, we shot & edited that one & Dave shared it on Facebook last week! Enjoy - facebook.com/1drat/videos/10156115457385658/
