8:39 "makes people think you weren't paying attention". LOL
0:05 had literally 17 business days to brake 🙄🙄
But then he could not have screeched his tires and sat on his horn
The descroption should be "Here you see a cammer with zero situational awarness. He could easily slow down an brake soft, instead he insistet to brutally scratch his tires and honk."
You literally do not know what literally means.
@@sambrannan7550 I literally agree with you, but why do you care? This is about idiot drivers, not literature!
@@sambrannan7550you figuratively don’t understand humour
0:05 It took you longer to brake than it took me to drive across the country.
Not only that, when he guns past the Mazda, you can see it's right behind the black SUV that was originally in front of cammer. So even if the Mazda hadn't cut in front of cammer, he would've had to brake anyway. This isn't a case of the Mazda cutting in front and not accelerating quickly enough.
8:36 That's classic, talking about paying attention when you get rammed by someone not.
He even needed to restate the "attention" part lmao
The talking about not pay attention while getting rammed by someone not paying attention is the most horrible irony
Was just about to comment this
0:17 #1 Last second? Cammer had like 5 seconds react. Who wants to bet the cammer then cut off and braked checked the blue car?
No bet.
He was going way too fast and paying f*ck all attention - then tries to blame the other guy for his f*ck up...
A semi randomly jumps a median, crashes through a fence, goes across the opposite lane and ends up in a ditch: nothing. A car gets cut off blatantly (and obviously): "I was coming from my job as a septic tank cleaner driving my second cousin, who I got the job there, and a 1999 subaru forrester with green trim and a rust spot on the driver's side quarter panel has the audacity...."
shows the amount of pride the posters have.
I'm pretty sure the truck video isn't submitted by the trucker, but by some insurance company with cameras in the cab. That said, those looked like tire blow-outs.
Plus 4:40 Not even sure why those are in these videos.
@@darrennew8211steer tire blowouts are crazy sometimes. Hats off to the drivers keeping their trucks upright.
3:26 you can clearly see your car decelerate before impact. Fight that idiotic 10%.
If you can clearly see the nose drop from braking, then you can also clearly see the cammer swerve INTO in the collision. Only 10% is generous.
@@01Z06guythe benz clearly drives into the cammer..
@@01Z06guythe "swerve" can be caused by uneven tire wear, brake wear, suspension wear, load balancing. It's 100% possible there was no swerve input by cammer so i'd fight that 10% too
Agreed. Unsafe lane change 100%.
@@Lokstock220 AND the cammer clearly swerves INTO the collision just before impact.
0:05 funny how the cammer reacts at the very end when he’s about to hit the blue car.
Funny how the bonehead turning didn't stay in the far right lane like they should.
0:50 A view being obstructed is not a defense in this situation. It's simple: if you can't see oncoming traffic, you *do not* proceed to cross the lane with a "damn the torpedoes" attitude.
A good trick I've learned if stopped cars are blocking your view: Watch *behind* them, and see nobody is coming. Like, if there's a car parked at the intersection, watch behind it until there's many empty carlengths you can pull into. Then you know there's nobody you can't see behind that car.
Really? Really?!😄🤣
@@Madness832 who'da thunk it, right?
7:55 At first I thought no way is the cammer going to DELIBERATELY create a completely preventable wreck. Just no way would anyone do that, especially for no gains.
Then he drove into the other truck anyway (& even sped up again to do it). 🤷🤷♂🤷♀
"He was found at-fault..." STILL NOT WORTH IT (& I'm not certain it's accurate, in all sincerity).
If their insurances saw that dashcam I believe they would definitely assess cammer with some fault.
#11 3:40
Good luck to any oncoming driver because it's highly unlikely they'll spot the guard wire before the wrecked semi.
I seen that too and was thinking someone is going to have a bad day running into that wire.
mightve been on the ground and kinda snug...but still...
2:45 NEVER try to beat a yellow while turning left. This simple rule has saved me more than once. Black car should have gotten the ticket for failure to yield. The truck was in the intersection before the light turned red.
Yep, the sedan followed that jeep like a damn trailer.
Doubtful the truck was in the intersection before the yellow
@@Shinigamiusmc If the truck ran it, the sedan sure as hell did.
They probably both got a ticket. Cars running red lights while turning left never want to admit they were also in a hurry and could have prevented the accident by yielding.
@@spamlessaccount agreed, piggybacked off the SUV which I believe was in the intersection on the yellow
1:30 Do you have any idea what the solid white line is for?
They're probably saying "But, I didn't WANT to turn." The concept of nobody giving a crap what an individual wants is almost blasphemous.
If the car in front just isn't moving, you can't sit there for an hour until the tow truck gets there. It's solid white, which means "you shouldn't cross it unless you really need to."
It’s a suggestion for other drivers, they do whatever they want
1:31 You didn't check your mirrors.
3:30 - 10%? I thought the cammer did well not to panic and jerk the wheel!
Yep he got screwed
7:12 your "dynamic cruise" made you go from 70 mph to 75 to block the truck? 😂
Sure, it was a d*ck move, but the truck didn’t have to road rage like that. It just puts more people at risk. Someone on that road shouldn’t have to be dragged into their aggression bc they wanted to get revenge. They’re both lucky nothing happened to anyone.
0:43 That's precisely why you shouldn't turn left unless you have a green arrow unless there is no green arrow at that light. The failure to yield caused the collision.
You don't need an arrow to make a safe left turn.
There is a left-turn arrow. We can see the back of the double-width light assembly at the end of the arm extending in from the left. (And I double-checked on streetview.)
However, it can never show a red arrow. So they can turn without the arrow. They just need to be careful.
It's also a wise idea to slow down a bit when passing on the right to increase safety.
1:30 cammer didnt look and tried to blame the car in the already occupied lane
Other car changed lanes at the same time. Cammer crossed solid white line.
@@sambrannan7550crossing a solid white is only discouraged, it is not prohibited. But from this clip we can see why it is discouraged.

3:30 - The other person's was probably State Farm. They are a bunch of scammers and I would not have taken 10% of liability. I was in an accident with a State Farm policy holder too. They tried 50/50, 70/30, and 90/10 just like you. At the end they accepted 100% responsibility.
Yeah, my rule of thumb is, if the company needs to advertise on tv and/or the radio, they're probably a shitty company. I hear nothing but bad things about State Farm, Progressive, and Gieco from co-workers and friends. I feel like the insurance companies that constantly need to advertise are pretty bad. My company seems pretty good. I mean I haven't had to use them thank God, (knock on wood), but they never advertise. But insurance in general is a scam. You pay all this money to have it, and then when you need it, like being in a car accident, they will do anything not to pay.
@@06maximaowner46 I've had good service from GEICO. I also have good service from Comcast for my internet connection. Maybe I'm just lucky - or maybe generalizations like that are too broad.
So at 3:22 insurance goes 90/10 saying cammer could’ve avoided the crash despite a last second blinker and immediate merge, but at 7:55 insurance does 100% on the truck despite the cammer obviously running into him and not just letting him in (and both vehicles driving very slow before a stoplight)
I don't believe either narrative.
@spamlessaccount I can believe the 90/10 but cammer would win if he took it to court. The other one is completely made up. No way insurance is going to accept blame when they sped up and rammed the other car.
3:27 Cammer should insist on arbitration, to get that additional 10%. There is less than one second between the other vehicle pulling into his path and the collision. The signal does not really matter, since you should always signal intent prior to changing lanes, but only execute when clear. The 90/10 thing is just the insurance company being a dick, trying to keep costs down with that laughable excuse. Cammer is not obliged to stop and let him in just because he signalled.
in different states therefor different laws regarding blame
Florida is like Michigan, no fault. How it works (at least for Michigan) is whoever gets the ticket gets 100% of the fault. If both parties get tickets, then both parties share fault. Different States have different laws
8:15 I have one in my neighborhood that I know will get his karma someday
I had a lady on my street that would always fly up and down the street. The guy that lived across the street from me would constantly whistle at her to slow down because he had two little kids that were always out-front playing. Luckily, she finally moved.
1:08: "Beat the light?" Looks red to me.
3:21
It doesnt matter what the other persons insurance says. It only matters what the final result is.
The 10%is obvious bs. You had no time to brake and no obligation to swerve. And swerving is very dangerous anyway. Oft times causes more damage that just hitting them, and seems to usually let the offender off scott free while you and some other innocent have a collision.

Thanks for sharing! Always a wild ride with these compilations.
2:27 lets hope the insurance sued the other driver to get the money back
2:52 I'm calling BS on the truck getting the ticket. The car turning is responsible for yielding to oncoming traffic before going, even if the other vehicle is running a yellow light.
How do you know the truck entered the intersection on yellow?
Sorry but by law the truck gets the ticket, he never slowed going thru the yellow and it was most likely red when he actually went thru, just by watching when that light turned green facing the cammer.
Same also truck driver can beat the yellow if he wants, its not red he can either go thru the yellow or stop and depending on your speed and the timing sometimes ya just get caught at that moment and ya have to keep going, but ya NEVER EVER TURN LEFT IN FRONT OF ONCOMMING TRAFFIC, not sure how many times I have to say it, but even if they have a red light you can see them coming and you can relatively judge their speed of weather they will be stopping, so why would ya turn in front of a moving vehicle coming at you. Boggles my mind every time.🤦♂
@@Anthony-fd8mh"the truck can beat the yellow if he wants"
not in Michigan. Michigan (where this clip is from) and a few other States, require you to stop at yellow lights - if it is safe for you to do so. Yellow means clear the intersection. The Sedan was partially in the intersection and needed to clear it.
Now, usually, it would be the turning traffic that would get the ticket, however, due to the cam footage plus whatever the pickup driver told the police is what lead to them getting the ticket and therefore the fault.
In Michigan, police can and will pull you over for trying to beat a yellow. I was pulled over in my early 20s. I used the excuse that it wasn't safe for me to stop due to traffic behind me tailgating me (it was the very cop that pulled me over). He gave me a warning 😂
Other good excuses for running a yellow would also be the weather, jaywalking pedestrians or even a sneezing fit
@@entarr2604 Well this is what the law says in Michigan:
MCL - Section 257.612 - Michigan Legislature
(b) If the signal exhibits a steady yellow indication, vehicular traffic facing the signal shall stop before entering the nearest crosswalk at the intersection or at a limit line when marked, but if the stop cannot be made in safety, a vehicle may be driven cautiously through the intersection. So I guess the only question here is could the stop be made in safety and/or Was the truck already in the intersection on the yellow which we can not see? If he was, he would also need to clear the intersection which would maybe make this a 50/50 crash, however I guess the police made the call from whatever was said and viewed.
4:05 A perfect example of why you should not weave thru traffic at high speed
Nobody's weaving. SUV made a left from the center lane.
The clip does not show weaving. It shows the camera car change from the middle lane to the left one. And it shows the other car apparently attempt to turn left from the middle lane.
@@paulkennedy8701 I figured it was an attempted U-turn - hence the wide swing.

#17 5:56 When someone is willingly tailgating a few feet behind another car, that means they also think giving you a few feet of space is sufficient for them to change lanes in front of you. So whenever I see someone tailgating that closely, I just assume they'll try to change lanes in front of me that closely.

Where is your "unique text commentary at the end" of the clip that starts at 3:40? It looks like the truck had a steering wheel blow-out. At the end there is a dangerous situation with the steel cable caught in the wrecked truck and TAUGHT across the pavement. Autos comming towards the wrecked truck will slide along that cable and hit the truck. Or, best case, just be pulled to a stop. I would really like to know: (1) if that cable cause an accident after this video clip ends, and (2) why the cable barrier failed to stop the truck. Those cable barriers are specifically designed to stop 80,000 lbs of high speed truck. That is the entire reason they are installed; to prevent a truck such as this from reaching the on-coming lanes, much less crossing them. At 5:23 we see an identical situation, but this time the cable barrier stops the truck.
It's a sad reflection on society that people actually have to add underinsured or uninsured policies to their already too high insurance rates.
1:43 Unfortunate catch-22 situation which can sometimes develop when traffic exceeds road capacity. The truck does not have enough room to turn properly, causing traffic behind it to back up, and that traffic is blocking traffic in the cammer's lane causing it to back up, which prevents the truck from having enough room to turn.
If you see this situation developing, you have to yield to give the instigating vehicle (the truck in this case) enough room to exit and clear traffic flow. But cammer did what most people do - try to crowd in as much as possible. (This is similar to how fire escape routes can sometimes evacuate people more quickly if you place a pole in the middle - if you leave it completely unobstructed, people try to crowd in more causing worse blockage.)
4:01 Ah yes, the infamous free-for-all that is route 22 in Union NJ. Stores on the left and right of you as well as entrance and exit ramps. Your best bet for staying safe on that road, is to stay off of it.

Lack of mandatory driveing school + automatic transmision .
2:33 - The truck shouldn't have gotten the ticket. That will probably be thrown out. The car failed to yield the right of way regardless of either of them trying to beat the light. Whoever is cutting across traffic is always the one who is to yield to oncoming traffic.
3:40 - Lost their front left tire. You can tell from the vibration to that side of the truck as they lose control to that side. Same occurred at 5:21.
