Thanks so much for the sweet comment friend! I am going to give the tree back to the store because we realized that the tree was supposed to come in two boxes! They must have sold the other half of the tree to someone else so hopefully they will call the store too and be able to get the second half of the tree when they do!

I love the idea of an anti popular holiday decor video. I don’t think it’s negative at all. I think it’s actually pretty important. First off, money. We don’t need to buy buy buy. Better yet, find something thrifted or gifted or from nature and make it into a fabulous find and you’ll appreciate it so much more and won’t be filling up the landfills. There’s such a push to do like everyone else does and it really makes people boring. Yes, those decor items may be beautiful and designed beautifully, however being individual and showing your style makes it so much more appealing. I like to watch your videos for inspiration because you are different from the mainstream influencers out here on CZcams.
I say keep the stocking! Future babe, future dog, put it up for your mom. So many options.
Pretty stockings are hard to come by! (I've been looking for 2 years 🙃)
My mom does get a stocking each year so that's a great idea! I usually use the dollar tree stockings so she can take it with her but she definitely wouldn't mind leaving her stocking with me :)
I think an antihaul is interesting. Was watching while I was getting ready to go to hobby lobby and walmart. Putting tree up today wooohooo. So excited. I went to the closest target to me (which is N hour away) last night. Only to find all the christmas was sitting in boxes not on shelf. Of course every item i went in for. Always. But excoted to see you found the cedat pick at hobby lobby just what i was looking for. Crosding fingers mine has them.

I would love to see an anti-haul. I have to admit, I struggle to not purchase quite a bit of what I see on Christmas CZcams videos. I’ll probably return some things after I get my Christmas stuff out of the attic. It would be refreshing to see other options.

I love your finds and i just got those joann stems before i watched this. I love the videos where u show the best finds. I think i watched those 2 times at joanns before i went. I did get those trees u showed last year. I love those kinds of videos because i have to drive 45 min to any kind of decor store besides walmart and it helps to decide where to go. I hope you find the missing pieces of your tree!

I love my pumpkin glass that you recommended! I will have to go look for Christmas gifts! An anti haul would be nice. I want to see what we have again for the year and how it works in our new house first. But it’s so tempting seeing all the new item and knowing they will be gone if you wait to long. Yeah I feel like it’s run out and buy this and that. lol I don’t know about you all, but my husband is happy when I donate. Because it’s one less tote to put away. I do like upgrading my decor though and new is always nice. But a total redo can be costly. Make a plan. Myself I’m going to not go to crazy on decorating. Simple not clutter. I’m having knee surgery and it’s going to be a lot to put Christmas away. I like having pieces I can keep out till spring. I’m in the great white north so it’s snowy for along time. Greenery is something I keep up. ❤ have a wonderful Thanksgiving everyone. Let’s not forget we have that holiday too.

Thanks - I'm going to have to get creative this year! In years past I've done sweatshirts from a local tshirt shop, beer from local breweries, local zoo membership (not a small buisness, but local), giftcards to local businesses, local made candles and such!

The brown bottlebrush trees are so gorgeous! The ombre look almost makes them look golden rather than straight brown. Wishing you the best on fixing the Christmas tree situation! That must’ve been so disappointing. I would’ve been devastated if it were me!

I had received a couple of the pumpkin mugs that weren’t done right in a batch and she just would not have it and replaced them both separately for me as one went to my daughter. I’m pretty sure she lost money helping me with my order and she was so easy to work with. Sweet woman! Also, my aesthetic is so opposite yours but I’m here because you are so sweet and I love how you use your aesthetic! Also, if you want more of the Norfolk garland from Kirklands, keep an eye online in July because they go on sale and I got mine for $26.99

I haven’t purchased hardly anything this year except for cookie molds, red found transferware, a single pillow (I make my own), wrapping paper from high end source folks on CZcams don’t know about, lol. I pretty much feel that for the most part anything that’s studio McGee at target is a anti haul only because I see it in every video …, except for this one 😊

I haven’t checked Michaels yet; their trees have always been expensive so I honestly just wrote them off! I guess If this new tree doesn’t work out though, I’ll be heading there!

I would love to see an anti-hall I try to stay away from the trends like Ray Dunn for example. I think all these trends are cute I just am wondering if they’re going to age well? But I respect everyone’s choice in choosing holiday that speaks to their heart.I try to stay more traditional and timeless. A lot of the modern decorations remind me of the 1960s when I was a little girl. They don’t fit with what my holiday vision is. So I would be interested to hear what other people are doing. Isn’t that the fun? Seeing all the different styles.
Yes Tracie, definitely everyone must do what speaks to their own heart! People have different reasons for decorating too - some want to feel like a kid again, some what their kids to experience a certain feeling, some what it to just look pretty. Hard to say what will stand the test of time for each individual, but I definitely think we can predict what is overall going to be classic or on trend in general!
Do more people use faux trees these days? I grew up in Oregon and live in Washington, and so maybe it's just the PNWer in me that clutches her pearls (clutches her holly berries?) at the idea of anything other than a real tree 😂 I can definitely see the pros and cons of both!
Also, omg, yes to an anti-haul! Remind me why I don't need to buy out an entire aisle at Big Lots!
Lol I hear ya!! I grew up with real trees too but they unfortunately can't be put up before the end of November. I like to decorate early so I've had to do faux - I soooo wish I could have a real one though!

YEP lol! I bought this new tree on clearance in March and obviously didn't set it up. Just opened the box for the first time and the entire main section of the tree just isnt in there! The store is refunding me, but the tree is no longer available so I had to get something different. A lesson to always check your boxes when you buy a tree on clearance!

I love you video's, and yes please... I would love a anti-haul, everyone is always copying the other and its getting old. The ribbon on the trees, the Norfolk pine, and the bells. Show us some new content. I just don't want to copy everyone else. Show us something unique.
I have seen the kirkland stems and even though it feels real, I just don’t like the color. The color makes it look fake. I have not bought it but I know it is all over YT.
At a distance, the color works somehow. But I agree, the color is off!
