If we had gotten a part 4 to would have ended on a cliff hanger all the same while it would be great to see Ash fight with robots n matter what the franchise would always end on a cliff hanger.
To be fair, the camera no clipping doors, windows, and flying through the air was really cool and scary. Not knowing what it is that's flying around trying to kill them is pretty freaky and I loved it. I still do, I wish some movies would use that technique every now and then
Sometimes it needs to not be perfectly steady and perfectly on rails with its unnaturally straight movements during action scenes. They used to attach the camera to a dirt bike and chase people for real while filming to get that style.

Okay, I'm a big fan of the Evil Dead movies, I've read Bruce Campbell's first autobiography on how the movies were made (and other stuff), and have followed his and Sam Raimi's careers for years. I laughed my full head off at this. Amazing work, you guys.
The first one is a legit great horror movie, the second one is a masterpiece that created a new genre, and the third one...well, Sam Raimi just wanted to have fun.

I remember being small, living in Russia of the 90's watching bits of the third movie (horribly dubbed)… scared the bejeezus out of my 5-year-old self... and made quite an impression, except I had no idea what the name of it was.. or even how to google it... all I remembered were the medieval castles, evil walking skeletons, and a mysterious book... so thank you for the walk down memory lane, and for putting a name to this childhood memory of mine of sorts :)

Loved this Honest Trailer! The best way to watch these movies is with the Commentary tracks on. Listening to Raimi, Campbell and company recalling anecdotes to the making of scenes is informative and hilarious.

@Charlie Vetsworth I’m not knocking honest trailers or the amount of views, I’m just saying they used to produce a much larger variety of content all around movies and if you go to their channel it appears all their producing these days are just honest trailers and nothing else. And I kinda miss some of the other things

Loved this Honest Trailer! The best way to watch these movies is with the Commentary tracks on. Listening to Raimi, Campbell and company recalling anecdotes to the making of scenes is informative and hilarious.

Evil dead was filmed here in Anson county NC. A lot of my friends were extra's. The Color Purple was filmed here too.
That's the 2nd time I literally just watched something and Screen Junkies makes a video on it, along with Starship Troopers. Thanks guys, helps it stay relevant to me
3:36 notice the difference in the way the glass shatters. The first one from the original used real glass and was super dangerous. The second used a much safer sugar-based glass that shatters totally differently.

@@icebergmm only one episode of Ash vs Evil Dead is directed by Rami (pilot) and they’re more connected to the Evil Dead trilogy than that garbage reboot.
