Laudrup was an excellent player, but absolutely not in the same category than our national Zizou ! Zizou was just a real magician, and won everything in football against all the best teams and players in the World, in clubs and national teams, and still been the best in all those games and compétitions. 1st, his ability to absorb/trap incoming balls; 2nd how he mostly keeps the ball close enough to touch it and change it's direction; 3rd his first touches for pass or volley; 4th his peripheral vision of the game; 5th his trick touches with any part of the body. And yes, without excellent balance he wouldn't be able to do all this. Let's not forget how his team mates pull dummy runs and he takes advantage of it.

being a kid and seeing his 2002 UCL final goal v Leverkusen on live TV I was awe stricken. can't believe it was 20 years ago.
French here, I feel the same. I remember every little detail of where I was when he scored this classic goal, as well as other big games where he delivered. Time flies so fast.
