Download free DaVinci tools over at my web site www.cbsuper.com/
You can copy and paste tools into your DaVinci Resolve Fusion Macro folder. The file should be a .settings file. Then when you're in Fusion, you should be able to access it by the Macro name using the method in the video. See the file location below for Mac and PC.
PC Users - Paste into:
C:\Users\”YOUR_USER”\AppData\Roaming\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve\Fusion\Macros
Or

Mac Users - Paste into:

Thank you very much for the amazing video, and thank you Boris FX! This software is amazing! Plus with this workflow the possibilities are endless. Many thanks again! :)
Very welcome, glad it was helpful.
this will help my editor who i will help with how to use the free version of partical illusion on davinchi. Thanks so much for making this video
Very welcome
Absolutely brilliant mate. I was still trying to figure out how we would be able to composite the particles on an actual video. But this is a brilliant method. Thanks for all the great content
Its not the best, but better than nothing.
This is great, exactly what I needed, plus more! Thank you so much!
Perfect!
Always excellent tutorials from CB Super
Thanks!
Thanks a lot! 👍👌
Welcome
Thanks. That was really helpful.
You’re very welcome Mark!
Thanks, I've learned something here!
Nice!
Nice one CB! Thx...
Very welcome Simon!
Along with setting the particle's velocity to zero, turn on 'Single Particle' in the particle's Properties. And turning on Attached to Emitter is nice in such cases as well. :D
that's a great tip, i'd imagine that would help to keep the partles down and run a little faster when you start adding additional particles...I'll have to add that to my own plate.
Awesome tip for sure 👍
Thanks!
Great tip thanks !!
Thanks!
Great video!!!!
Thanks!!
WELL DONE
Thanks!
Great tip, thanks for the cool hack...
You bet, it is pretty neat.
You are awesome
Cheers Mohamed!
I would appreciate an update version of this as the controls don't quite match up to the current version and its kinda like a foreign language to some whho is unfamiliar.
I don’t really use this program much, its decent for plug and play pre-rendered particles, but its lacking in customization. I do think its neat, but not as practical as I’d like.
I use the emitter called "Solid colour" to implement this.
Yup, that works too.
Pro tip: you can watch movies on flixzone. I've been using them for watching a lot of movies these days.
Nice & helpful
Thank you...🙏😊
Any method to bring video clips?
None. You can bring a single image only. Need to upgrade to full version for video.
Ok
Thankk you😊
Hi, Great great tutorial! I was wondering Iam using particle illusion in Davinci Resolve. When I open particle illusion in Davinci and click on show source video I can not view the source video no matter what I try. I put the effect above my video in the edit page. Any help would be so much much appreciated! p.s. maybe I need to do this in the fusion page hmmmmm
Sorry, i only have the free standalone Particle Illusion program.
@@CBSuper Thanks so much for getting back. What I did was I went in to color panel added the particle illusion effect and works fine and I was able to view my clip will working on particle illusion. Adding alpha output node allows me to track with tracker.
Great! Can you please show us how to composit this meteor over a moving cup?! That would be very much appreciated :)
That's a great idea! It's basically just tracking but I think one of the limitations to the Standalone is the need to do all the tracking in the Host compositing program so the particle is already rendered...so obviously if we want secondary movement that would come from the tracked movement, we'll need to fake it and i have a few ideas on how to do just that. Cheers!
@@CBSuper If the change/movement is linear, couldn't you just do two image imports of the first and last frame and track it in the particle program? It may be an excessively ugly workaround though... 😅
it won't let me implement the image
Could it be that he no longer leaves?
I’ll take a look
I would appreciate a lot!
@@GuettoUnder88 I just did it now on the free standalone version, it still works. New Property Type - Properties - Shape Image - Import Shape, then select your image from your computer. Change from Greyscale to Full Color and size it up. Should work.
@@CBSuper Thank you very much for taking the time, I could already do it !!
@@CBSuper I can't import any images, it goes through the process but when I hit apply, nothing happens. All the shape editor categories all have (locked) at the end. And I don't have a Custom option.
? What if you render a entire video into a jpg sequence
Not sure, haven't tested that yet. I think there is a limit on how many sprites you can have. But I was thinking of trying to make a .gif, not sure if it will work as a sprite either, but will get around to testing it soon.
@@CBSuper any news for it?
@ Particle Illusion 2021 is out, but Ive only played with it a little. The 3d particle camera works, but still no source video integration so you’ll still need to use this technique for bringing in a source clip.
@@CBSuper ı mean you can only use a still image not a image sequence right? other then that. good tecnique
@ yeah, its not ideal. I think thats the paywall incentive to use the ofx plugin, but i just dont need it that badly.
Can you do this effect: link below to the video with timestamps: 0:50 - 0:54
czcams.com/video/zrnIKLPH1SA/video.html (also copied the video at the time of the effect)
Can you pls try to replicate this effect in fusion!
Thats just a mask and transform. Check out this video on masking. czcams.com/video/rQbd_5qH1Po/video.html
It's just a picture. No video. Doesn't seem to help lol. If it's just a photo just use photoshop and not that program............
Right.
