    Absolutely brilliant mate. I was still trying to figure out how we would be able to composite the particles on an actual video. But this is a brilliant method. Thanks for all the great content

    Along with setting the particle's velocity to zero, turn on 'Single Particle' in the particle's Properties. And turning on Attached to Emitter is nice in such cases as well. :D

      that's a great tip, i'd imagine that would help to keep the partles down and run a little faster when you start adding additional particles...I'll have to add that to my own plate.

      I don’t really use this program much, its decent for plug and play pre-rendered particles, but its lacking in customization. I do think its neat, but not as practical as I’d like.

    Hi, Great great tutorial! I was wondering Iam using particle illusion in Davinci Resolve. When I open particle illusion in Davinci and click on show source video I can not view the source video no matter what I try. I put the effect above my video in the edit page. Any help would be so much much appreciated! p.s. maybe I need to do this in the fusion page hmmmmm

    Great! Can you please show us how to composit this meteor over a moving cup?! That would be very much appreciated :)

    • @CBSuper
      @CBSuper  Před 4 lety +1

      That's a great idea! It's basically just tracking but I think one of the limitations to the Standalone is the need to do all the tracking in the Host compositing program so the particle is already rendered...so obviously if we want secondary movement that would come from the tracked movement, we'll need to fake it and i have a few ideas on how to do just that. Cheers!

    • @hundheltenkelt3543
      @hundheltenkelt3543 Před 4 lety

      @@CBSuper If the change/movement is linear, couldn't you just do two image imports of the first and last frame and track it in the particle program? It may be an excessively ugly workaround though... 😅

  • @rpgmakerbloodytutorials9486

    ? What if you render a entire video into a jpg sequence

    • @CBSuper
      @CBSuper  Před 3 lety

      Not sure, haven't tested that yet. I think there is a limit on how many sprites you can have. But I was thinking of trying to make a .gif, not sure if it will work as a sprite either, but will get around to testing it soon.

      @ Particle Illusion 2021 is out, but Ive only played with it a little. The 3d particle camera works, but still no source video integration so you’ll still need to use this technique for bringing in a source clip.
