I do not own Theodore Tugboat. It belongs to the respectful owners - Zábava
This episode teaches us an important lesson. It doesn’t matter how nice of a person you are, you will not satisfy everyone because there are people who are not nice. The important thing about that to remember is to not let it question your self worth because they are the one with a problem, not you. I’ve had to learn this lesson in real life quite a number of times
Theodore is hiding from Oliver, he must be afraid of Oliver's true colours.
So true.
@@garrettcurren1226 Did you see Oliver showing his true colours while chasing Theodore?
Yeah for sure
@@garrettcurren1226 George should have tell Emily, Foduck and Hank like "everyone! Just listen what Oliver did to Theodore!"
George earned my respect this episode.
As someone who was bullied from Kindergarten-12th grade, I know Theodore’s pain and feelings.
It Was So Heartwarming to see George, who is usually a bit snobbish sometimes, stand up for Theodore. This show is golden.
George could be Theodore’s big brother 😊
Well, George IS a friend to Theodore. He did say “Leave my friend alone!”
George can be a bit of Grump sometimes. Oliver The Vast is mean, He's Nasty, He's vicious.
The Harbor Master was truly a master narrator.

Theodore and George were both relatable to me in this episode. When George says “Leave my friend alone!” it always reminds me of how my friends and I have always defended each other from bullies in real life.

I love how this episode teaches children who are being bullied and children who aren't a valuable lesson in how to handle bullies, and I wish I could've watched this when it was airing on PBS Kids, but it's okay, at least I can watch it here on CZcams.
Even though George can be a grump at times he always has a soft side and really cares for his friends a lot and even Theodore and I’m glad he stood up for him and that’s being a good friend

back when shows were good indeed.
Agreed coming from cg thomas but i still agree lol
This, along with Thomas and Friends S1-5, were my shit as a kid. Even at 27, I still go down memory lane with these shows.
Definitely one of my favourite episodes, I love how it tackles the subject of bullying, and shares the message of no matter how kind a person you are there is still going to be someone who doesn't like you. I also love how protective George is to Theodore, and how he stood up for Theodore when Oliver was bullying him, this in my opinion is George's best episode in the series. I also loved how Theodore handled himself when he was being bullied, as he was going to fight Oliver back, but he didn't , and that showed how strong and great character he is. I also really loved how Theodore did the right thing and told the Dispatcher about his problem and The Dispatcher was great with him. The final thing I loved was that Oliver didn't redeem in the end, unlike the bullies in typical shows aimed at kids, I loved that he didn't change because not everybody redeems themselves or changes their ways, it's how it is in the real world. This definitely is one of the best episodes of the series and one of my favourite episodes of all time.
Very well said, and very true. Theodore may not be able to make friends with everyone he meets but he’s still himself a better and stronger guy than Oliver will ever be. Still even I have hope that bullies can be good at heart I was bullied no myself by a boy who was always making me feel like garbage after I told him to stop, he never did. But one day I ran a fever in gym class and he was the one who let me lean on him and stayed by my side until the nurse came by. I didn’t understand why he helped me like that. He still wasn’t all that good to me but after that I knew that some bullies have goodness in them. I hold onto that hope that enemies can become friends with me too. If not then that’s their own problems and choices. So I’ve made my own choices now. I’ll still be good and show kindness to anyone good and bad alike. If I need to stand up to them I will do that too but not stoop to their level
Probably one of our favorite episodes of the show. This one really teaches an incredibly valuable lesson that still needs to be taught today, they handled it very well. For such an old show, impressed with the quality of the upload!
I love how Oliver didn't have any redemption or said sorry, it goes to show you that some people are jerks with no shame.
If Oliver want to be a jerk than he’ll never be as strong as Theodore. Thinking about other people and showing love takes courage and heart. Being a jerk is weak and cowardly in my eyes
Sometimes you dont need to give the villain redemption or justification. Some people are just jerks.
Oliver never got the chance to hurt Theodore real badly
Or hearts
@@ImalsoaMercenary0105I actually did have ideas for an episode where Oliver is sent to the harbor on such short notice. However he actually wants to make amends with Theodore but Theodore understandably isn't one to be convinced so easily.

This was always one of my most favorite episodes for the right and wrong reasons. Theodore greeting everyone in the Big Harbour with a cheerful smile and considering all of them his friends is quite sweet and aspiring for some, but when he finds out from George and Owan (who for the very first time speaks in a very quiet voice) a new tugboat by the name of Oliver the Vast is coming for a visit, Theodore becomes excited at the prospect of making another friend, despite George claiming that Oliver isn't very friendly. When Oliver arrives the next day, Theodore quickly finds out that George and Owan's assumptions of Oliver were correct and he is nothing but a rude, obnoxious and aggressive bully. No matter how much Theodore tries to befriend the big tug, Oliver responds by giving the smaller tug hard bumps. Even after being confronted by George to leave Theodore alone, Oliver continues to stalk and intimidate poor Theodore who escapes the bully by hiding under Owan for the rest of the day. During that time, Theodore can't seem to figure out what Oliver has against him and begins to cry, saying he's always good at befriending everyone. It isn't until that night at the Great Ocean Dock that Theodore decides to tell everything about Oliver to the Dispatcher, who commends him for doing the right thing by not trying to fight Oliver and arranges for George to tow Owan back out to the ocean and send Oliver back home in disgrace, never to return to the Big Harbour again and Theodore is once again safe, happy and under the belief that everyone, everywhere, is still his friend. So there is my extra long comment as to why "Theodore and the Boat Bully" is one of my favorite TT episodes for the right and wrong reasons. We get to hear Owan talk in a quiet, normal voice for once, George was brave in defending Theodore from Oliver, Theodore learns you can't always befriend everyone in life, and the Dispatcher shows a more fatherly side to him than usual. As for Oliver, well, he can go f*** himself and I wish he could've gotten more appropriate karma. Thank you.
But Imagine In a Scenario,What if Oliver Strikes Again in Season 4 and 5?
Theodore: Hi, I'm Theodore.
Oliver: Hi, Theodore. I'm gonna kick your butt.

This is pretty good for a kids show, but it’s clearly trying to cash in on the success of Thomas The Tank Engine. The opening live action sequences are just spoofs of the Mr. Conductor shorts, the narrator constantly tells us what’s going on, the characters have little animatronic eyes and have face swaps in different shots...
Also, apparently we never figure out if the bully gets in trouble or if he ends up becoming Theodore’s friend, the episode sort of just ends with Theodore being all happy again, no closure whatsoever.

@@yamitay9258 Strangely enough this episode actually gave me an idea for a future episode (had this show gone on longer) where there was more work then ususal in the big harbor, and so a 6th tug was needed. Unfortunately for the Dispatcher, Oliver was the only tug available, and reluctantly recruits him, willing to give Oliver a second chance, but makes it quite clear that he will NOT tolorate any of Oliver's bullying. And George is signed to work with Oliver since he knew him personally. However it turns out Oliver had also been reluctant to return to the big harbor given his previous visit. Oliver had actually seen the error of his ways and does want to make things right. Theodore meanwhile is terrified that Oliver is back and so he makes it his mission to remain out of Oliver's line of sight at ALL costs. So on his first day back, Oliver remains fairly quiet, and gets on with his work without saying a whole lot. Admittingly George is suspicious at first, and asks if Oliver is playing some sorta trick, but Oliver is quick to say he's not up to anything. At first all the tugs start off giving Oliver the cold shoulder (or in his case, cold bumper) as they knew he was a bully in the past and all refused to work with him. However slowly through the course of the episode, Oliver starts to befrinend the other tugs, and earn their trust, but Theodore just ain't buying it. Eventually things come to a head when Oliver is asked to work with Hank, but when Theodore thinks Oliver is about to bump Hank from behind, Theodore rams at Oliver as pay back for what happened last time, but this causes a thing of cargo to drop into the water. Thankfully the cargo is recovered, but Oliver's bumper is slightly bruised. Predicatably Theodore gets repremanded by the Dispatcher for what had happened. Theodore pleads his case that he thought Oliver was going to ram into Hank on purpose. The Dispatcher explains that he understands why Theodore was untrusting of Oliver given previous events, but that it was still NO excuse to cause a cargo shipment delay, and as punishment, Theodore is told to stay in his dock for the rest of the day. Now instead of Oliver getting the cold shoulder, Theodore is now being ignored by all the bigger tugs. Well all except for Oliver. Although he was hurt, he completely understood where Theodore was coming from. That night, Oliver tries to stick up for Theodore, but the other tugs just aren't having any of it. That is until Oliver comes clean about why he used to be a bully. At the old harbor Oliver worked at, all the bigger tugs were snooty, stuck up, rude and would always push him around, and nobody would do anything about it. It got so bad that eventually Oliver thought that if being a pushy bully was the only way to get noticed, so be it. Oliver was a bully because he himself was bullied and he had nobody to turn to. That's why when he came to the big harbor, he treated Theodore poorly cause he didn't know how to cope with being bullied himself. A very common and all too real issue when it comes to bullies. They don't just start off as a-holes, but their minds can be warped into that line of toxic thinking due to a poor enviornment. Soon the other tugs get back to work, but Oliver goes and speaks to Theodore, but Theodore explains that he had overheard everything Oliver said and now Theodore himself felt like he had become a bully without realizing it and now feels incredibly guilty and depressed. Oliver apologizes to Theodore for how he treated him in the past, and Theodore apologizes for not giving Oliver a chance to show he had truly changed. Next day the tugs head off to their usual jobs, but Theodore was still nervous. The Dispatcher is pleased that both Theodore and Oliver had learned their lesson, and lets Theodore out of his dock as long as he learns not to jump to conclusions that could lead to an accident. Theodore swallows his pride and gets back to work without a word, and sets off to help Hank move Owen the Oil Rig across the harbor. Hank tries to cheer Theodore up by telling him a joke that Oliver told him, but just as he's about to get to the punchline, a big storm looms over the harbor. Theodore and Hank try to get Owen to safety before it gets really bad, but the heavy wind and rain causes a horrible strain on their tow cables, and they start to struggle. Oliver sees the two smallest tugs in trouble, and sets off to help them. Sure enough, Oliver gets his cable attached to Owen and with all three tugs towing as hard as they could, they manage to move Owen to safety, just as he's about to crash into the dock. Word gets out about Oliver's act of heroism, and the Dispatcher decides to recruit Oliver as the 6th member of the great ocean tug and salvage company dock (or GOTASCD for short). Not only is Oliver excited to have a new home in the big harbor, but Theodore is also happy to have made a new friend, and the episode ends.
Oliver is one of those characters I feel could be redeemed. Cause in his case, he was just an average school bully. People like those can be redeemed if one can reach out to them or something like that. Whereas if someone commits an act of terrorism, like what happened on January 6th, that type of shit can't be redeemed. That's why I came up with this idea. What'd ya think? :)
