I seriously thought I hallucinated this show.
I watched this when I was like 5 and I just now remembered it and I thought I made it all up
My brain mashed this and TUGS into one show so when I rediscovered tugs I thought I ended up imagining a character starting with T but it still poked my I couldn’t remember what it was. Tim? No. Tom? No Timmothy? And now I found it!
SAME!! I remember seeing it on TV when I was like a baby or toddler. I just had to google Childress television show with a boat 😂

ryanm if you do watch it, stick to the stuff pre 2009 or so, before they went CGI. The old seasons with George Carlin and Alec Baldwin narrating them are the best.

I loved Theodore Tugboat and Thomas and Friends since I was a kid.

This was a childhood classic on CBC.I never realized the late Denny Doherty was Canadian and he used to be in the Mamas and the Papas.
The other day, my friend (who isn't a Thomas, Theodore tugboat, etc. fan at all) just sent me a text saying "Thanks for visiting us in the big harbor, and we'll see you all again next time."

Underrated show
I have to say, I agree. You know which show from September 2002 is super forgettable and underrated from time to time? I'ma give you three hints. Did you ship the blonde dude and the redhead? Did that show help you more in school? And most importantly, do you agree that the theme song slapped like CRAZE? Notice I gave you hints in question form. Please answer all 3 questions before I fall asleep. Because, I can't reply back if I'm sleeping.

Crazy I just found this out of nowhere. I remember my mother used to rent the VHS tapes for me from my cities library and I would just watch the same episodes over and over again.
For some reason that crashed ship scared me when i was a kid lol.
The eyes on it and the staring are what did it for me.
I remember that same feeling. This one was one of my favorite episodes but the haze and everything creeped me out. Especially as being a kid on the prairies.
This show always had weird lighting that gave everything a creepy aura. Especially the earlier ones like this episode.
Just saw Theodore on his way to Hamilton. This brings back good memories.
This show is a treasure.
I used to have one of the vhs tapes with a few episodes of this show on it and i used to watch it on end. Same with Thomas. The theme song never left me as I’ve aged. I used to get a strange feeling from watching this show idk why.

Ok. I'm not going to lie. This show is amazing as Liberty's Kids. I now have a fondness for this show. But as always, Liberty's Kids will always be my favorite animated TV show.
It didn’t take me until years later that the background was Halifax harbour as a kid I never really noticed or cared, and the fact you can thedore still parked in Halifax.
So if Foduck blows his regular whistle when a tug answers correctly, does that mean he blows his emergency whistle if they get it wrong?
He probably wouldn't use his whistle at all if that were the case.
It's best to keep this episode up because then every episode of the show is online and you never know if TTTEEpisodesUS decides to reupload the episodes or he might not.

When I was very small, I loved this show. I always loved Denny Doherty's narration of the series. I wish this show was still on. Perhaps I can show this to my sisters and get them to remember this gem of a show and then we can show my niece and nephew (at least when they're older).

The difference is: tugs is fantastic, it’s produced and made by Thomas’ whole crew and company and the legendary music producers who did TTTE’s soundtrack obviously did TUGS. Tugs came nearly four entire years before this show, and this is clearly Canada’s knockoff version of it. It’s a shame TUGS was cancelled and this went on for a while because the show quality is so vastly different.
This is the greatest show of all time!!!!!!!!
Fun fact: the principle director of this episode, Robert Cardona, was also a producer on the first two seasons of Thomas the Tank Engine, as well as a producer on TUGS.

9:06 that ship should've flown the "November" and "Charlie" flags on the same flagpole to indicate it is in trouble instead of the "Uniform" and "Victor" flags. The "Victor" flag on its own means the vessel needs assistance, but not in any danger. The "Uniform" flag means the other vessel is in danger
Emergency preparedness is a vital skill for people to learn. It's a merit badge in boy scouts, and the boy scout motto is "Be Prepared." If you aren't prepared for emergencies, you could end up in danger. George almost damaged his hull and sunk if Theodore hadn't warned him about the flags.
Is it just me or does the harbor master sound like Tim Allen when he talks as George?

this show was my favorite as a kid when it came out. I always thought it was funny that my grandpa's name is Theodore and he was a tugboat captain on the Detroit River with the Norfolk & Western (later Norfolk Southern) Railroad ferrying rail cars across the river up until 1994 when the tugboats were retired and he decided to retire as well.
Man I loved watching this as a kid, it was like a Canadian Thomas the Tank Engine but with boats

Discipline is not always the answer. This was a lesson George had to learn for himself by understanding the importance of paying attention and realizing that certain safety regulations will keep you from getting into serious trouble

The guy that is hosting is Danny Doherty. He was one of the main singers in the vocal super group, The Mamas and the Papas. He treated Cass Elliot like shit.

And John Phillips was actually the one who treated Cass Elliot like shit, he was always mocking and insulting her and didn't even want her in the group because he thought she wasn't a good singer, while Denny Doherty and Michelle Phillips loved Cass' singing and wanted her to be in the group
Also Denny Doherty loved Cass Elliot not romantically but she was his best friend, and Denny was the one who wanted Cass to be in the group despite John Phillips protests, Denny wanted Cass to be in the group because he believed in her. John Phillips was the one who treated Cass Elliot like shit not Denny Doherty, he and Cass were the best of friends.

This show lasted longer than TUGS. TUGS only has a single season with 13 episodes while Theodore lasted for 5 seasons

Jonny Stevenson well, given he is absolutely everyone, and the only expression is from the eyes, it aids in clarification of speech.

Jonny Stevenson agreed, in writing, we are told to keep dialog straight, not full of ‘he said, she said’ but short of hiring an entire staff, this seems fitting enough.
It may be annoying,
but on the other hand it helps me since I am complete blind. It’s like when I
listen to an audio recorded book. There is someone reading it and they change
their voice for characters and the book always says he said she said. Yeah you
can see who is talking but other people can’t.
