Oh my gosh!! I remember watching the 1st season of Theodore back in the day on PBS every morning at 10:00am every morning wayyyyyt back in the day 😊 such good nostalgic memories
Here’s an interesting fact I just looked up: the name “Kamel” (aka. The rusty wreck at the entrance of the cove) is Arabic and, literally translated, means “perfect” or “the perfect one”.
They would need to find somebody else to play the Harbormaster and narrate the Theodore Tugboat stories themselves because Denny Doherty died in January 2007.
Rebooting Theodore Tugboat is like rebooting TUGS (but TUGS might have a higher chance becuase most of the models are preserved in a very good condition)
If this show was family PG-level (like The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack, etc) they might gasp, wretch, or shriek in horror. Now this is giving me ideas for a YA? horror story set on the Eastern Seaboard (New England) with two young men/boys finding a corpse or skeletal remains in a dark cove which unleashes a supernatural force. I'm getting "I Remember You" and John Carpenter's "The Fog" vibes for some reason watching the scene.
I remember in the Thomas episode Trust Thomas, there was a toad in it and the bullfrog made me think of the toad in trust Thomas and the part with Theodore and the frog made me think of the Thomas-toad bit in Trust thomas
I don't know if it was this episode. But I rember being scared of the dead tug boat with its empty eye sockets. But I also remember it having a wide open mouth too. Literally it's the only thing I can remember of this show. That and the dock with eyes and the fact that the show definitely couldn't be Tugs since I don't remember them with white faces.
First time I watched this episode I found it pretty unsettling myself, what with that scary old rusty wreck (Kamel) and that awful sound at 6:26 😰 Relieved to find out it was only a cute little frog in the end. 😁 🐸 Poor little Hank at 7:44 and 8:23. 😢 1:29 "Everyone thought they were becoming very useful tugboats." Nice reference to Thomas there. 😉😁
I watched this episode as a very little kid, and it scared the hell out of me! This show was great at building atmosphere!

CZcams is a really great app and website right?
@@seardadsdasd Yeah, it's the people on the site that make it great with the content they provide.
The eye-less shipwreck scared the hell outta kid me.
Same

Well not so perfect anymore huh?
Another underrated S1 episode with some stellar spooky scenes of the rock-like shapes that look as if they came out straight from a live-action movie.
One of my favourite episodes of Season 1
5:22 me at work.
More like school
Or both
@@garrettcurren1226 true
I don't think we'll ever know what happened to Kamel. And how he "died" and became a skeletal remain of scrap.
Dear PBS
reboot PLEASE
How would it be rebooted ?
They would need to find somebody else to play the Harbormaster and narrate the Theodore Tugboat stories themselves because Denny Doherty died in January 2007.
Hopefully with no cgi

@@davidantoniocamposbarros7528 but even they wouldn’t get a Reboot, because TUGS has a “tone” Issue.
13:30 "Very Useful Tugboat"! Isn't that like, "Really Useful Engine"?!?
Hahaha yeah
TUGS is original
@@ineedlemonades756 I know it is

i'm trying to make HD and full screen versions of every episode but it's a nightmare to edit them
I saw that a Scrap ship was in the water cave was here was used as the model. 12:56

that rotted boat is just a corpse in this world. like even creepier it's eyeholes are all rotted out.
A dead and decomposing boat on the shore line seems normal
So do the boats just not have lights?
They do
@@yamitay9258 well they certainly didn't use them in this episode
@@deanatgmail actually they did. Theodore uses a light in the cove looking for Hank
@@yamitay9258 oh i must of missed it because they certainly dint look for anything together in the dark when spooky stuff was happening.

This honestly never appeals but it's okay but tugs and thomas and friends is better
Oh I wouldn’t go as far as to say that
Disagree Theodore Tugboat is way better
