Tap-Strafing was NOT removed or Nerfed. They just tested it in the Control Stream Event without telling anyone it's only a test. Will do some Punchboost investigations.

Nerfing the damage on shatter caps is the most confusing change in the patch notes, nobody in the history of apex has complained about shatter caps doing too much damage. Increasing their ease-of-use doesn't mean anything if people want to use them EVEN LESS.
Maybr there isnt any complaining about it but for the sake of "balance" its best to do it earlier than never. Speaking on core issues on the other hand... I dont wanna start talking about it but ill play the game and enjoy regardless. Nothing is the same as apex anyway
The apex balance team is starting to use overwatchs balance philosophy, if something needs a buff, buff it along with a nerf to something else
Nobody has complained about it because nobody uses it in the first place. I've seen a few streamers pick it up and absolutely dominate a whole game with it, while commenting on how busted it is all game.
Shatter caps turns the 3030 into a budget eva. Shatter caps on the bow gets you killed.
No one ever uses shatter caps because one weapon is too weak to use competitively and the other will get you killed.

I’m just so happy that Hammerpoints are back. End game cowboy clutches are something I dearly missed. Also, interesting that the Flatline now has a tad lower damage. Wonder if it’ll make a lot of difference in practice..
Yes it will, it now kills slower than the R-301
@@monkethe1st373 which doesn't make sense to me. Flatline has a higher skill ceiling with it's recoil. Not saying it was hard to use, but r301 is definitely easier to use.
The Flatline is still busted, it shreds in Control

As it should be. I love the Triple Take but it's too easy to get shots in and free value pretty much. It's a sniper, but felt more like a long range shotgun. It still has amazing hipfire too

It's not meant to be used that way. It's a SIDE ARM for a reason. Run a pk with the hammer point .45

@@badger297 As much as it would make sense that sidearms couldn't kill in a single mag... literally every other sidearm can. p2020, wingman, and mozam can all kill at least one enemy at base mag.
Guess that’s the trade off now that it can get hammer points. But honestly most of the time it shouldn’t be a problem, you’ll probably find a light mag at some point throughout the match if you’re picking fights.

@ptatoe69 im talking about the “it was better at launch” joke, a lot of people use it to show how a lot of legends, objects and weapons were better at launch and here I’m using it with a weapon that clearly wasn’t better at launch, and that’s the joke, the fact that I’m saying that it was better back then as satire and an exaggeration.
Kinda lost the point after explaining it but I hope you get it now.
It was good even before it was buffed but it only had 180 dps compared to the r99 which has a 198 dps
Also a big change to the Triple Take not shown in this video is this bullet in the patch notes:
"* Removing projectile growth from bullets"
Meaning triple take shots are harder to hit from further away now as your bullets don't 'grow' to compensate for hard to hit targets in longer ranges.

Are the base guns better compared to what they were like last time hammerpoints were in? I feel like they are, but can't remember for sure.
@@kingoffongpei After hammerpoints was removed in season 9, the mozambique has one of its pellets moved up a little so that the spread is better and it also has 6 rounds instead of 4 (4 rounds before hammer was removed).Cant remember if theres any other changes.
@@napsy27 they also changed the RoF and dmg of the P2020, the RoF was higher back then and had lower dmg, dunno how much thou (was it 14?)

1 they put it in the replicator to remove that "i dropped into flatline, i win" situation.
2 they nerfed the damage by 1

Can I just say for everyone complaining about Flatline and Longbow being in Replicator its actually a buff in a sense, its not RNG anymore to get it making it much more accessible

it's not good in ranked though, it requires you to drop some specific place, and rotating wherever to get it, is a death sentence

Maybe do a comparison of the ring vfx before and after. From what I've played I think they've made it much easier to see

Why did they nerf shatter caps?
They're gonna be used a ton more, the 30-30 and the bow were already solid marksman rifles that get used a fair bit but in the middle of a fight no one ever really bothered to toggle shattercaps on or off. Now that it's just the hipfire default people will be using them way more. Shattercaps have been really strong especially after the buff, but no one ever complained about them due to the extremely low use rate.
@@ZHL242 Used more yes, but they effectively nerfed the hipfire range. You could hipfire a bow from 30m+ and hit every time, now it'll hit but for 1/2 damage

I moved the volt but it did get a little bit sickening being killed by JUST volts and flatlines (especially flatlines)
Shattercaps makes me happy. Always loved the idea but never think to change it during a fight
My brother did an arenas match and only used the Mozam and hammerpoint. they may need to make it cost more for the final level

The shotgun hop-up for the 30-30 and the bow seems to still be useless. The other changes were correct imo.

nothing bothers me other than the 63 damage on the triple take instead of 69
the re-45 is essentially a mini r-99
now that it has hammer points it can keep up with an r-99
It still can't one mag red shield so not really.
@@dyasion ok but now its an arena beast. i got a weekly challenge “get 2500 damage with pistols” and in one match i got around 1400-1500 damage. Re-45 with at least an upgrade and mozam for if i need that extra 30 damage on the spot because i need to reload the re-45 after missing too many shots. obviously it can’t do anything far range but if your squad has a mic or some braincells then you and them can make a play and force the fight to be close range every time.

I don't get why shatter caps were nerfed.. Barley anyone uses shatter caps and no one complained about it being strong. Makes no sense to me tbh.

Feels like a bow hipfire nerf tbh. You could hipfire 30m+ accurately, now with forced shatter caps it'll only hit for 1/2

Balanced gun. High recoil. Bad iron sights. Low rate of fire. Now the damage is fair. It’s balanced now.

I could never charge it while moving
Sentinel and rampage charging while sprinting was always a bug. Not sure if it was an accidental bug or a weird hotfix by the devs to compensate for the buggy longer charge time, but now that the charge time is back to normal the ability to sprint is gone as well

I know this is a bit early, but I hope they try removing the Turbocharger from the hop-up loot as there are too many hop-ups currently (they didn't rotate any hop-up out of this season, while including hammer-point back in). They can put the Havoc/Devotion into the package while bringing back the Volt/G7 or removing the Spitfire from the game temporarily.
Or they can simply put the Devotion with a Turbocharger into the package, while the Havoc remains as a ground loot with turbocharger installed, but nerfed magazine size.
I am interested to see how people will react to the Havoc with a built-in turbocharger as normal ground loot. As it stands, the Havoc with a Turbocharger boasts the fastest TTK out of all ground loot weapons, and is ahead of the Flatline/R301 by a decent margin, while also boasting a 36 max magazine size. Its a weapon that I feel like isn't utilized enough, and sort of deserves to be re-introduced into the meta since the Volt got removed.
