this is soooo helpful thank you SO much. i’m an au pair in the Netherlands right now about 40 mins from Amsterdam. i’ve been realizing it’s a pretty small (i don’t wanna say boring) country, struggling with the covid measures that don’t allow me to see other countries yet (i know you didn’t have to deal with too much of that but it’s still a struggle haha), and trying to figure out what my daily schedule should be since i’m not studying and i have all this free time during my days and weekends that i want to make the most of. any tips/suggestions on finding activities/places?
Hi! Sorry for the late response, I hope you're well. During this time, I find it especially imperative that we all find time to connect with nature. I would def get to any parks or gardens, if you're able. Im not sure how strict your lockdown is right now, but if you can go to any museums that would be great! I spent my time in lockdown reading a LOT, playing animal crossing, meditating, and studying french. I also took that time to journal a lot. Although i remained positive for the most part during those 2 months in the house, I wish that i didn't get so down about it. Its still an experience, and taking extra time for yourself is invaluable. Even when theres not much to go see or do, there is beauty in the basics :)
I wanted to go to Netherlands too, but dicided to go with Belgium.. Any say on that?
Well traveled queen

whats the process?
You have a great adventurous spirit! Notice you took French lessons every weekday- how much were the lessons? As an older woman I’d like to finally learn French.
I went to a school where it was only €35 for the whole year! Thanks so much for watching! I recommend iTalki for online language lessons :)
I would like to au pair in Lille, France. Which all websites should I apply on?
yes more au Pair stories please...also what is your level of French now?
currently A2 :)
I’m hoping to become an Au Pair after I graduate high school so I’ll be 18 this year. Can 18-year-olds do a lot in France? Would host parents trust/ allow 18-year-olds?
Hi ! I'm a french 17 years-old. In France majority is at 18, which means you can buy alcohol, drive alone, do anything without your parents' consent from the moment you turn that age. I was able to find a long-term babysitting job (with a legal contract) when I was 16. As long as you're able to show that you're a mature and responsible person who's able to take initiatives when needed, parents will trust you. So basically when you're 18 you can do anything an adult can do, and if you prove you're trust-worthy there should be no problem :)
Can u help me to come
How would you become an AU PAIR?
How can you stay to live there when your worktime with your family is end?
