this was so incredibly helpful! I have met with one family (in france) and so far I think that it might be a good match. I am still open to chatting with other families, but I was a little nervous thinking that maybe I was going too fast with my search. I’m super excited to continue the process!
Maggie Clark Best of luck with your search! Trust your gut! Don’t rush the process but if you have a good feeling about a family, trust it!
First off, Yassss hair! Second, Thank you for the much-needed tips!

love the video and you are so close to 1k! are there other options besides au pairing that allow you to move abroad? I've only ever worked with kids that were a bit older
renée _ thanks for watching and yay!! there are more options like a TAPIF program/ teaching your native language abroad🥰
@@TylahAli ooh okay that's great to know!!
renée _ thats most likely what i’ll do when i move back! but i’m not sure of the process, once i start it myself i’ll be sure to make a video on it!!🥰
Hey!! Can you please do a video of you speaking french? Im learning right now and Im curious:)
Maureen Jary In my “should i move abroad” video i speak a little french at the end!! i’m not super confident to speak french on youtube yet because most of my viewers are french and i don’t want to get bullied 😂 but def in the future i will once i improve
@@TylahAli ahaha this made me laugh, I totally understand:) you don't want those french people wacking you with their stale baguettes lolll! yeah my french is interesting, don't worry that you're the only one who is a little unsure of their ability ahaha . . .
Wait, what's a sham de baum? 4:30 (if i'm spelling that right)
chambre de bonne! little rooms normally located at the top of an apartment building for what used to be maids, now for students/ au pairs. normally share a common bathroom/ kitchen but ive seen some with their own :)
I'm prob too old to be an au pair lol (I'm 32) but I wish I knew about this in my 20s because I would've definitely tried this. I guess I have to figure out another way to get to Paris lol
Don't let age stop you...I am 36 and considering. Some families prefer mature Au pairs.
@@rhambosia1 I had no idea you can do something like this in your 30s, I thought France had an age restriction on this. Definitely going to look into this!
Did you go through an agency. How do you start the process of becoming a Au pair?
