"Pop-pop-popsicle, ice-ice-icicle, test-test-testing". Alright, I see what you did there.
"one, two, three..." these guys rock 👍
Ahah saw that too
Love that you compared the top open ear options to help consumers! Can't find this as well done anywhere else.
Love your coverage, the level detail is so impressive 👏
This video has been really informative and amazing. Thanks for the comparison! I bought OpenRock Pro a few months ago and the performance has been really impressive. Really like the bass and the battery life, like it lasts forever. The new OpenFit seems amazing. Will definitely give it a try later some time!!
I've been using my Oladance Gen 1 for almost a year and I liked them so much that I ordered the charging case. The controls are great and it is great for sweaty workouts
Great video! I have been looking for such a thorough comparison! Rocking the Oladance Gen 1 orange and happy with the choice :)
I stumbled across your video and very impressed! The amount of effort and research is impressive. Keep up the great work guys.
Thanks Michael!
Thanks for this video, just what I needed! I have small ears that has most ear buds popping out if I make big movements or after about 15mins. I need these for taking meetings on the go and in your video, it sounds like Shokz is the clearest and least muffled for phone calls, is that right?
Hey Rohan and Kevin, I am hoping to say thank you!! I bought my OpenRock Pro watching this video and I am so happy with it!! Great bass, ear hook fits me just fine, and the battery life that never goes down. Even its 80s design is my tea, lol! Thanks so much for making amazing and in-depth content. It's really helpful for people who don't know that much about earbuds. :)
This comment made our day! 🙏
Excellent review. You have a new subscriber in me. I've yet to try any of the open ear buds so far, so this was a great intro. I've always preferred in-concha over the in-ear canal sealed setup, so I have my share of SoundPEATS and lesser known brands. I've also been a big user of Shokz bone conduction stuff for a few years now, but prefer that primarily just for speech. Even the cheapest of these is a good bit more than I'd prefer to spend on earbuds of this nature, but this video has given me a great starting point for any decisions I might make.
P.S. In your phone call testing, I'm gonna assume you were being subtle with the sequence of pop/popsicle, ice/icicle, then test/testing. It wasn't until about the 3rd time that my brain insisted you say "test/testicle". 🤣🤣
This video is exactly what I needed to make a decision. Thank you!
Exactly what we wanted to hear!
That thumbnail is great, it really gives you one of the best side by side comparisons that I've seen yet.
Those Oladance are just way too bizzare for my taste.
Excellent comparison! Really appreciate your effort put into this video.
Thank you!
It's my first time watching your videos. You guys are too underrated. Your content is really high quality and you got me chuckling multiple times. 😂
Welcome aboard! Thank you so much!
Appreciate the honest review, I could only find sponsored videos of the shokz earbuds before this one!
Cheers!
Great review and comparison, and I followed Rohan's pick the OneOdio OpenRock Pro, got them for a great price on Amazon UK with added voucher and my initial impressions are very very positive. For me the fact they have a button rather touch controls is a major plus, sound quality is excellent better than my Shokz Areopex and so far no issue with fit as I wear spectacles. Thanks once again for your excellent comparison, keep up the great work.
Cheers Andrew! They are solid!
As someone with waxy ears, I hope this style helps them stay put and prevent excessive buildup.
Great work guys! Who sound better the oladance or the shokz?
What an incredible review, you really put a lot of effort into it. Greetings from Japan.
Yes! It took us a lot of time to make this one. Thanks for the recognition!
Super goede review van deze producten! Was namelijk op zoek naar een review die verschillende merken met elkaar gingen vergelijken. En leuk dat jullie ook een giveaway doen!😊
Dank je wel Angela! Succes met de giveaway 😉
Just ordered the Shokz and Openrocks. I already have the Oladance since day 1 👍
Open rock are good. Return your overpriced Shokz. Ijustine got a sample before some big audio reviewers. $200+ after tax and shipping 💀☠️
How do you like the oladance
I bought 6 Shokz's products previously, still using 5 of them in different environments. But for open ear buds, I just ordered Cleer Arc II.😆
Got to try the Shokz Openfit today, quite nice. However I find it expensive. What's the best bang for buck open ear out there
The link you have to the Oladance Gen 2 seems to go to a bundle package with the Gen 1. 🤔
Great video, guys!
awesome video guys, thanks for honest review 👍
Great well made video❤
Thank you so much 😀
I'm using the Truefree O1
No app, bass average, but for under $50 you get comfort and multipoint, as well as low latency game mode. Hope you'll review these soon.
🚨 UPDATE! The 10 BEST open-ear buds: czcams.com/video/hQBTWnL0DQo/video.html
I'm Listen yall via my shokz open fit . Once I made my own custom eq these became AweSomeNess PerSoNiFied Sounding way Way Way Better than my shokz openrun pros .
Perfect and helpful video. Thank you from Germany.
Gern geschehen!
Fantastic review and refreshing style switching between the presenters, top!
I have the Oladance Gen 1 and Openrock Pro. Glad to see Rohan validating my choices! Though I do gravitate to using the Oladance much more often than the Openrock to be honest - they are so comfortable
Who sound better?
Who sound better?
@@alur9160I had both I returned the oladance. Been happy with openrock pro
@@alur9160 I like the sound from Oladance but volume is not that high. Just for music, I would choose Openrock, but for general browsing, watching CZcams, calls etc I use Oladance
@@alur9160 they are similar. openrock has more base.
I doubt this will make or break it for many people, but the Oladance 1 now comes with ear support wingtips included in the box too. I'm not sure they advertise it, but I bought an Oladance 1 from the official website a few weeks before they released the Oladance 2, and it came with the wingtips. (I didn't find any use for the wingtips either. They did make the buds more stable but also less comfortable after a while.)
Agree on all counts!
Which would you choose if outdoor phone calls and comfort are the most important?
Great video! I was a Kickstarter backer for the OpenRocks and I gotta say, I haven't regretted it one bit. I primarily use them for music at work and VR gaming, taking advantage of that sweet aptX low latency. I also really like that the case has enough space to slip in an aptX Bluetooth transmitter dongle, which I can pop out any time I want to use these headphones, and plug into the device of my choice.
Can't wait to see what OneOdio does with the second generation. Hopefully a solid style pass!
I am feeling the same! I am so so happy with my OpenRock Pro. Wanna leave a comment for everyone felling the same. Really great bass. :)
They have added multipoint functionality on the Shokz OpenFit since this video was posted.
That’s correct!
Great sense of humour. Very entertaining and informative.
Cheers Mark!
Great review on the Openfit, however I need to correct you guys when it comes to multipoint paring. The Openfit is capable of multipoint pairing through the Shokz app. I was confused when your review said that the Openfit said that the Openfit doesn't have it, but I'm using it as we speak. Perhaps multipoint was added via firmware after your review? But I think it's important to point this out because this could affect a user's buying decision.
Yes it was. We made a short on it, but we'll pin it in a comment.
Excellent review.
Great roundup - but what abut these ones JVC Nearphones HA-NP35T-A ?
Hey, guys! You're doing a great job. I'm looking for my first ANC headphones, trying to pick between the Surface Headphones 2 and Huawei FreeBuds Studio. What's your 5 cents on that? Also, I can technically splurge for a pair of Sony XM5s but I think it's silly given that I can get the Surface/FreeBuds for 100EUR. Unless, you can REALLY convince me to do so? :D Oh, and I have a more specific question: Do the Surface Headphones 2 turn off automatically after you put them down for some time?
This is great - would you recommend any one of these specifically for people with very small ears?
Well, finally what I was waiting for came true, but this list can and should be expanded, this is not enough -Haylou OW01 PurFree Buds
Many many thanks for these awesome reviews!
Glad you like them!
Very informative and helpful, great video! Though I'm not gonna lie, I almost fell off my bed when I thought I heard "Are you a F man?" at 2:36!🤯🤣🤣
Hi. Do you guys plan on testing the new Anker Soundcore Aerofit Pro? I'm curious how the sound quality and max volume compares to your favorite ones.
I'm new to this type of earbuds style. Just purchased the aerofit pro and was about to return them because I thought they are not fitting my ears correctly because the volume is too low.
These aren't meant to be loud as tws iems right?
The only advantages to these type is more situation awareness and comfort?
Excellent analysis. I love the open ear concept, very natural sound. Had to replace discontinued Bose Open Sport after a bud was lost. Chose Cleer Arc 2 because of sound quality, multi device, volume level. You need enough power to overcome spikes in background noise, even if they are rarely used at highest volumes. Battery life is amazing. Case is a tad larger than Bose but charges and holds the buds so they don't tip out. Its smooth material slides easily into pockets. It is tricky to open because it only has a finger pull on the top half leaving noting to grip the bottom with (my wife has no problems, maybe it is just me). Sound is very good, but I prefer the classical app setting for rock than the rock setting recommended in the video. Connectivity has been fine and I have not experienced the problem described in the review. Tap controls take time to get used to, and I would prefer physical buttons. Too often I tap to increase volume but it thinks I am tapping to turn off. They are light and comfortable, at first. They actually irritate my ears after a while. I remember needing a break in period with my Bose so I hope I will adjust. It has only been 5 days and comfort has improved. I am hopeful I will find my sweet spot, get comfortable, and be able to keep them. These are much better with glasses than the Bose were, no problems at all with my thinn metal frames. The app is pretty good. One suggestion is to un-program single tap, and set double tap to pause/play. This reduces inadvertent contacts from messing things up. They arrived charged, ready to connect, and I got immediate use even before reading the manual, which is provided in print plus on the app.
Very good review, however I missed a section were comfort and aesthetics are considered, as well as reliability. I have bought a pair of Shokz Openlite because I found them great, I do mainly workouts outside with them and they are the most comfortable devices to listen to music when running or cycling, they are super soft and dont move and definitely these are from a very reliable brand in the market. By the way these are the less bulky of the pack, the less heavy and aesthetically the nicest.
I appreciate the fact that these cant connect (yet) to more than one device and that the app is not giving you all options when looking after more types of audio presets, but maybe after an app update and a software/firmware upgrade, these can have also that,
The fact that these are IP54 is also key, it could be even better if they were IP67, but this is more than enough for me.
All in all, I am a happy user of Shokz.
Cheers
In fact, I am delighted with this very lightweight audio headset, incredibly comfortable, with sound quality that is sufficient, and moreover, it performs much better than far more sophisticated products for making phone calls. It even works well for WhatsApp calls, which is not always the case with other headsets.
I am much more critical regarding the non-standard charger, which is truly bothersome. In fact, unlike most other headsets, if we forget the charging cable, we cannot replace it with a standard USB cable that we can find everywhere... we have to store the headset and wait until we return to charge it.
Really cool vid man love it so much!!! I'd like to ask if you can recommend which is better between those earfun air 3 pro / soundpeats air 3 pro / soundpeats capsule 3 pro specially in term of sound quality and overall because I'm so confused and don't know what to chose would appreciate ur help my dude ......
Overall, the Earfun.
You could add JVC HA-NP35T & HA-NP50T to the loop. They have 16mm drivers. Also waiting for the Openrock X review. Thank you!
How do you guys test the battery life? I mean, someone who needs a louder volume with ANC or Sony-esk dynamic settings will get less out of a pair of headphones than someone playing it on a lower volume and with no ANC... I assume there is a reasonable mid-point you're assuming, but how does the testing proces go? Just play it on x% and check every half hour if it's still playing?
I was hoping you would test each side individually ☹️ but it was a great video
I have an older pair of Shokz (about 4ish years old) and whenever I change the volume using the buttons it has a ridiculously loud beeping sound. Same sound happens when I connect to a device. Is that the case with their new Open Fit?
Any open-ears on the market with low enough latency for video?
I bought OneOdio and very happy with bassssss. Please let us know though if you'll discover something more bassy. Bone conduction headphones might collect dust now...
cleer arc 2, trust me , you never regret
Thank u for this ☝️
Where do they put the mic?
Nice top tier video as always. Huawei freebuds 5(tear drops)
You're not imagining the sub-base on the OpenRock Pro. Try Bad Omens "Mercy". Impressive sound for open ear style.
Yup!
I have the Oladance and like the sound and battery life. But, I hate the white noise when no sound is playing. And, personally, the comfort is just okay for me. The hook kinda starts hurting after about 3 hours, for me, at least. So, I choose Shokz as the overall best open-earbuds.
I don't get the white noise.
@@FacelessAssassin24 I can hear it on mine. I also saw a review where a guy measured the white noise and it was on the higher side. It said 10.7 dBA.
AirPods Pro 2꞉
with no ANC = 0.2
with ANC = 3.0
Transparency Mode = 5.0
I think I'll continue using my OpenRun Pro for work due to the multipoint pairing (especially now that I've figured out how to get rid of the annoying beep when muted). I'm considering the OpenFit for when I'm on the move and only using my cell. Gotta keep my hands free while chasing a toddler.
Makes sense haha! Curious though: how did you get rid of the annoying beep when muted?
@DHRME if you hold the volume up and volume down in for a couple seconds, you'll hear "mute off." Then the beeping stops. The only downside is, every time you unmute and mute again, you have to do it again.
Important note... I make a point to depress the volume down before the volume up so you don't accidentally turn it off.
You guys are killing me. I just bought the Oladance ones 9 months ago. I need an open ear bud that has multipoint. I guess I’m buying the new ones.
A key reason for considering openFit earphones is cycling. Many of us already have other great earbuds that we would be perfectly content with if they weren't closed. So when I think openFit earbuds, I wonder what it is like to use them in activities that require situational awareness like cycling. How much of my surroundings would I hear while cycling or jogging? What is it like making calls with them while cycling? This is in addition to the other stuff you mention, but these first.
You hear everything, these are speakers that are close to your ears and nothing else.
@@DHRME Thank you so much for the info
Hey there team can you please make a comparison video of Shokz Openfit vsr Oraimo OPN-50D....
Thanks
As someone who just bought the Oladance OWS1 (no multipoint) I wish I had found this first. I thought Oladance was the only type available.
Can these open-ear earbuds compete with in-ear earbuds in terms of sound quality? And are they really more comfortable to use longer than the in-ear ones? 😅
No and yes 😄
@@DHRME Hmmm ok
What about the tozo openbuds?
Oppo enco x2 vs Fiio-FW5 vs Letshuoer x gizaudio galileo. What sound is better?
Guys, have you tried the new Truefree O1? They are stupidly cheap and are decent.
Openrock Rocks!! best bass response ~
Guys! I bought the Oladance Gen 2 some months ago based on a previous video from you. Couldn't be happier... But they are lacking multipoint support.
How are this Gen 2 having multipoint? Care to explain?
You probably bought gen 1 then. Because this is the first video we've made on the gen 2.
Which one would you advice when you are wearing glasses? Are they comfortable with wearing glasses? Maybe extra item to tell people in the video. Nice review again 👍
The smallest are most comfortable with glasses. So that would be Shokz.
@@DHRME thanx
Which was the loudest? I have the Oladance which are good, but the eq doesn't do much. I bought the Openrock Pros because I keep hearing how good they sound. While the tone is very good on these, the volume leaves wanting.
Just got the OWS2. Definitely sound better than gen 1
I have the oladance first gen. Should I purchase the second gen or just save my money, just would like your opinion?
Probably not.
Shockz open fit has multi point! I connect to my Fold 5 and iPhone 14 Pro Max with no problem. And it switches back and forth easily!
See the pinned comment. :)
@@DHRME I saw it afterwards, my bad
@robert.mills5 No worries!
what are your thoughts on soundpeats gofree?
Yea i wanna hear it too
Guys Openfit vs oladance 2 sound wise ??
Thanks!
Great work! Who sound better the oladance or the openrock? Thanks
Both very good! Oladance is more customable, OpenRock has more bass.
Definitely openrock!
Are you going to do the pro?
Yes.
I was expecting the testing words to follow the pattern... Ice-icicle, pop-popsicle, test-testing?
Ну наконецто сбылось то что ждал , но этот список можно и нужно расширить это не хватает -Haylou OW01 PurFree Buds
I had a headset from oladance. I had those silicone cups included so I guess it was the second gen.
It sounded awesome for me. Sadly my skin reacted violently to their silicone. Had to send them back at day two and had to treat the areas aroundbmy ears for a bit over a week until my skin regenerated.
Hope the ahokz openfit are better in that regard. I have no problem with the shokz boneconduction line up so the chances are higher... Fingers crossed and hoping.
So with one have the best bass as I can’t watch all video rn?
I have tried Oladance gen1, but they were generating white noise that was unbearable for my hearing. Can you advise which if any of reviewed headphones does not generate any white noise, so i.e. I can pause music and have completely silence? Thanks
Usually having no ANC / transparency solves the white noise problem by a bit
@@DHRME to my understanding none of them has ANC though? By completely silence I do mean a silence from the headphones themself (no white noise, audible hiss). This noise is something I can hear coming from oladance and customer service has confirmed it is known they generate it. I do wonder if I will have the same problem with other headphones like Shokz or Cleer Arc 2. I was hoping you can tell me if they generate anything similar or not.
@@DawidJaskot whoops! Thought this comment was on another video!!
there is multipoint for this device via the app, you can enable it.
Correct! Was added later on - we made a short about.
Which one is best for phone call? can you make the VDO to compare the phone call side by side ? Thanks
Hi, we'll have that video for our Patrons and members

Thinking about getting some Oladance wearable stereo 2 which is a newer model, any idea how these perform?
Did you watch this video? :)
🤦
Can any of those be used one at the time while the other stays in the case?
Yeh, all of them!
I have tried ever on of these and they all hurt my ears so much. I could not adjust them with out it hurting.
best reviewers by far
🥰
Seems like we are in the era new generation of product are just slightly upgrade hardware now days and kept the last gen design lol
I love love your channel!, and feel you two are about as honest as they come here in CZcams land as to ear bud reviews... Anyway had a question please. I have owned the Oladance 1's for I guess about 2 years and they get tons more use than any of my in ear buds regardless of the brand. Mostly for walking EVERY day! I was thinking to buy a second pair of open ears..to maybe share with my wife :) plus use in my car for phone calls. For some reason despite all the current occasional issues you mentioned on the Cleer Arc2's,I keep feeling drawn to them. To the point...when they work correctly :) would you say, they can sound as good or better than the Oladance 1 as to overall, AND bass? I have an issue with my right ear where my Oladance always feels just too loose so I liked the idea of the rotating Cleer ear pieces. Anyway sorry for the long novel....if working correctly, do you feel they can match or exceed Oladance 1 on sound..and that tight fit you spoke of, MAY be a plus for my funny ears..Thanks so much...
The Cleer Arc II sound great.
@@DHRME Thanks so much. I THINK I may order them. You guys are great!!👍
I have tried them all, final pick is cleer arc ii but after 2 weeks of using i returned it because it hard surface did hurt my ear. i probably go for oladance 2 then. although it sounds bit plain compare to cleer arc ii. Openfit is the most comfort one but one issue is it is bit lag in phone gaming as bluetooth version of 5.2 well, arc ii same lag.
The shotz had open point and when I'm on a call my brother said I sounded just as good as my apple 2
If you don't show it closely then how would we understand how does it fit in your ears
Who was expecting:
Pop, pop Popsicle
Ice, ice, Icicle
Test, test, TESTICLE?
Are these okay for long hours sessions wearing glasses? Thanks!
Tried OpenRock Pro... No, they are definitely not for everyone. Just a bit too big for my ears, that leads for 'em trying to pierce the inner side to the degree I have to put them off because of pain.
Pop, pop, popsicle
Ice , ice, icicle
Test, test, test-ING 🤣
Which one
have the best sound for gaming and movies?.
All are pretty awesome, but maybe OpenRock Pro due to the bass.
