what's wrong with wearing makeup? i've had bad and stubborn acne since i was in middle school and classmates made fun of me for it. i was always called ugly and pizza face so i started wearing makeup and that gave me a confidence boost. i understand too much makeup looks unnatural and can be ugly but i don't see a problem with wearing a little to enhance natural features or too make yourself feel good .

This is a long one that I wanted to share here:
I just had a weird situation happen to me with this girl who slid in my dms last weekend and showed a lot of interest in me. Let me just say that I’m currently trying to finish college so dating hasn’t really been on my mind lately but this girl was pushing the idea on me that I should “keep an open mind.”
At first, she mentioned our teams playing each other in the NBA playoffs (as of the time I post this) and that she felt like she was betraying her team by talking to me. Then she kept judging my character after only speaking to me for a couple of hours but I was trying to smash so I ignored it. Also, we chatted for about 12 hrs the first day and when I asked for her number, she refused to give it saying “how do I know you’re not a creep?” *Yet she was the one who slid in my dms and started flirting with me*
But the worst part was on the second day, our teams were playing each other and she started talking shit almost immediately and not in a cute way but more like slandering for no reason. I tried to turn the other cheek but when I started defending my team, suddenly “I was being aggressive.” 2 days later, I apologized for any misunderstanding to try and save face, she accepted my apology, then left me on read when I tried to talk to her.
I gave it one more try a couple days later and felt like I got ghosted, so I basically told her I knew when to take a hint and unfollowed her. Then last night, the night after I unfollowed her, she came out of nowhere and asked why did I care so much since she was a complete stranger? The question felt condescending so I simply told her that everything I needed to say, I said it in my last message the night before and moved on. Next thing I knew, this chick started antagonizing me, saying I sounded “butt hurt” and told me to “take my L and move on.” Then she ultimately blocked me when I started giving her short answers lol
I don’t think I’ve ever found out how toxic a girl could be so fast. And the “take my L and move on” part is funny to me because that’s exactly what I had done the night before she hit me up 🤣🤣🤣Also I forgot to mention that she’s one of those girls who prides herself on “not having a filter” which is wild because the whole time she was disrespecting me, not once did I ever feel the need to disrespect her or cuss her out.
UPDATE: I see this comment got quite a few likes since posting it so I wanted to give y'all a quick update. Since all this started over a basketball game, let me just say that my team (Boston Celtics) just beat her team (Miami Heat) to advance to the NBA Finals. At this point, I don't care if my Celtics win the championship or not because while homegirl wanted me to "take my L and move on" now she gotta deal with TWO Ls🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Just putting it out there that the only reason why I shared this story… look, if I’m into a girl, I have no problem putting in the effort. Don’t let my story fool you, apology aside (which I only did in the hopes of sleeping with the girl), I barely put that much effort into the situation. I just found it weird that the catalyst to our falling out was me being a fan of my favorite basketball team. I know some girls can be toxic and bat shit crazy, but that is the funniest reason I’ve ever heard for a girl to ghost a guy *she* was showing interest in. I know I took an L, I don’t see it that way because I’m not the one who really took an L, it was her. I’m the shit. From what she told me about herself, I knew sex would be the only thing she could offer me🤷🏾♂️
Clearly it's just another girl (certainly not a woman given her lack of emotional maturity) who's just looking for attention.
Stay focused on your studies, mate. Be your best self, and the ladies will flock to you once you've got what they value, and by that point you'll have a pretty good idea of what you want to play with v. live with, so your choice will become much easier.
