In this interview we meet a former Marine who landed not one, but four job offers in the tech world, without having no tech background at all. After serving as an aircraft systems technician in the Marine Corps, he faced a big challenge switching to a civilian tech career.
He applied to over 700 jobs and nailed interviews to get 4 amazing job offers. We talk about his journey, from using his military clearance to learning new tech skills, and share some great tips for other veterans looking to make a similar change.
If you're curious about how someone with no tech experience can break into the industry, or if you're a veteran thinking about a new career, this is the video for you.

Today I was feeling a little unmotivated to study for sec+ after studying hard all week. This video made me get right outta bed to go hit them books
took the words out my mouth lol
Keep up the work bro I’m trying to study the sec+ as well as other tech books
please study. got mine over a year go. just got a second certification and now im working on a digital forensic analyst certification. its truly not a very hard test and you will have your whole life to learn all the other things you want to. The test is a small barrier and most so don't let it stop you friend.
Keep going you got this!
What did you use to study?
I love this brother’s energy. He’s gonna go far in life for sure.
I agree
Type energy money can’t buy , I’m the exact opposite of dude 😅
This is my friend irl. Great guy and he’s this energetic all the time. Wonderful person to be around
His boss and teammates gotta be happy
He got a clearance. That's the biggest difference honestly.
And for the people that don't have clearances, just the security+ and get sponsored for clearances with no experience either. What's the difference there?
@@symonebeez Its very hard to get clearances sure it happens but that obstacle is hard to overcome. You have to be in the perfect storm for it to happen.
Thought that off the back
@@symonebeez You said in your seminar a Security+ wasn't enough for entry level and a person would more than likely have to work help desk. Stop putting mixed messages out there to the people. It's lame.
That’s exactly it. He had a clearance. I know a couple of people that didn’t have any experience at all with a clearance and are making major bucks in the gov tech field. I’ve got 7 years experience and the sec+ and haven’t been to land a job in gov tech at all. So I just gave up and took another route in IT.
I love his enthusiasm ! Got me motivated to get back to the books !
He's so enthusiastic and grateful! I love to see it! He's gonna go far!
Regardless of pay, this is a good starting point. Once he observe all the knowledge. The sky will be the limit
He has a heart of gratitude and a massive energetic blueprint that is impactful. This young man by his own nature will continue to grow and expand in infinite ways!! happy for him.
I love his excitement and I'm so happy for him.
He is so hype I love it 😂
Congrats on getting the job brother. I am taking my security+ in March. Fingers 🤞🏿 🙏🏾
@nuvie Hey how was your experience did you pass and what was the test like? Also is this for Comp TIA+?
how did it go?
Another great testimonial. He is energized. In the industry with no experience definitely a blessing. I’m 23 and he’s 22, I just believe that my opportunity is coming next. This year God is ready to blow my mind. It’s Only Up From Here☝️
Security+ scheduled February 14🙏
I got my sec +. Only experience I have is studying for the test and passed it. Now I'm looking for a remote job.
Nice congrats!
any luck?
How is it going?
This guy is definitely selling your services. He can be Symone's point man for sure. Congrats on the opportunity!!
He is so enthusiastic talking, I loved his vibes. I am really happy for him and his new job. He looks like a genuine person.
loved his energy! much success on his journey!! 🎈
Beez what took you soooo long to bring this young man on🤷🏽♀️.
Keep bringing genuine people like him on. Congratulations young man. Great information.
Beez, you straight up changing lives. Mine included. Keep up the great work.
I love his energy. Makes me wanna push harder
I haven't finished the video yet, but this is the second best video made. The guest is super excited
This is encouraging! I recently enrolled back in school for Cyber Security and I am just excited to see where this journey will take me.
I can see how he crushed the interviews. It's only up from here for him. Good job!
I love his excitement. The positive energy the enthusiasm. His personality is going to take him a long way.
I like that he came on with a realistic salary in his steps. We keep seeing people talking about six figures with no experience, which I guess is possible, but it’s not majority of the people.
What a happy dude. Love his energy
Im in the next challenge starting next week. I'm so excited! Thank you Beez!
I'm interested in that as well.
Let's gooo! See you there
His energy is so infectious! Much success to him.
Lol, this dope! Shout-out all my fellow veterans thriving after getting that DD-214.
Just came from your webinar on 2/4. Thank you for the information on finding jobs! I thought it was really encouraging with everyone's testimonials. Definitely need to be on my grind to make it all happen 🙏🙏
wow, i'm even more motivated to get my security+ after watching this! I've been feeling unmotivated and this came right on time
Love my brother's energy.
The Air Force is different and we are overwhelmed with all of the resources that are available for us during our transition.
Congrats to that brother , Just finished my boot camp at university of Tennessee for cyber ,hoping the same happens for me.👏🤞🏾
This got me amped 2 years into my tech career working as a tech analyst II and wanting to get out of this field and into cybersec sector. About to put that time in for Sec+ doing az900 and splunk cert now. Might need to look at your program. Love your content motivational, hope to be able to the same in the near future to help others enter this field. Thank you for the post! Great energy
Im pumped to start my career! Already have my secret clearance all I need is that security plus and redhat
Yes indeed!
16:00 I appreciate this part the most because people do make it seem easy
Excellent video! This is another example of the big market IT of USA in the first place in the world
i Love watching your videos Sis..military spouse coming into the space with no experience..your guest gives me hope. much love
Go to mycaa for scholarships. You can search your focus area. I am in the Emerging Technologies program that covers 5 free certs (A+ 1101 &1102, Net+, Sec+, Cloud+).
Thanks for watching! Sub so you don't miss any future videos. Goodluck on your career transition
Congrats, Ace. Love the work ethic.
congrats brother!!!!!!! shout out to everyone launching into tech this year.. see you all out there
Thanks for watching! Sub so you don't miss any future videos.
One of your best guests! Love his energy!
I think the secret clearance is a game changer. My son has a degree and a security + in May and still does not have a job.
If you guys are on the east coast tell him to apply for cleared jobs
@@devronbaten9333 But he does not have any clearance.
@@devronbaten9333what’s the website if you don’t mind sharing
It's not the difference, your son needs to apply to jobs sponsoring clearances.
@@symonebeezhow do you find jobs that are sponsoring clearances?
His energy and enthusiasm is wonderful. Fired us up to get motivated again 😂
Bro has a great mindset. He’ll go far
Alright Beeze ya mans ace is ecstatic and enthusiastic!!! 😂 I love it he selling your program. I’m transitioning out the military this summer going to check out your program
I just passed my Sec+ 2hours ago.
I am in the US Navy with a security clearance. But I do not have a tech experience. My biggest fear is how do I pass the interviews?
I need help with my resume and interviews....
I need help!!!!😢😢😢
congrats!! how long did you study for the sec+? and what did you use to study? I've been using jason dion's course on udemy
@JulianAlbino 2 months, CompTIA sec+ Get certified ahead SYO-601.
I also studied over 760 past questions. I wish you all the best on yours.
Hey watch my other video on how to easily pass the GovTech hiring/interview process
This is the best interview thus far.
Congrats brotha!! 🙌🏾✊🏾
8 days is crazy! I want in this
wish this was the case for the people out here with the sec+ and clearance and still cant even get an entry level IT role.
Fix up your resume and Apply more. Ace said he applied to over 600 jobs
Congratulations Ace.
He litty bro is a testimony
his energy!
Good energy bruh, keep it up
Bros enthusiasm and energy is unmatched lol. Never change lol
Great motivation 🎉
How can one get security clearance if you have never worked in a government setting? Seems like it’s a good way to get in
Apply to jobs that will sponsor you. Listings will show that they are willing to sponsor you or during an interview you can ask.
I’m currently studying for core 1.
Congrats🎉🎉🎉
I'm also on the military and want to work with her.
This video motivates anyone studying for that Sec+. Symone should make him a spokesman.
LOL yeah Ace is super hype. Thanks for watching! Sub so you don't miss any future video.
Bravo👏🏼
What if you're not in the US? How does someone like me who's interested, get into this?
It seems like everyone has past military experience. Can someone point me to the stories of those who have no tech background, and no military background?
Nowadays you can’t believe or tell if this sit up or lie when you look the body language but still I take that as fact
What would he have to lie for? Lol you think a Veteran is lying about transitioning into the civilian world?
Bro is geeked lmaoo. Happy for him though 🎉
LOL he is so excited he worked so hard.
The issue is that the military will suppress everything on you as relates to skill
Me love dis bredren!!
His video is going to do numbers
Thanks for watching Shay!
gotta love his energy lol
8 isn't 10 percent of 700 or 800
What’s a good way to get a clearance sponsorship if you recently got your security+ cert?
Bruh had too much coffee lol
I am from Ghana. How do I join your discord? Are there opportunities for foreigners in the Cybersecurity space?
Please do you offer your services for people in the UK or is it just for those in America?
Beez blueprint can be applied in the UK too. Trust me it works 🤫🫡
Just for U.S. Non-U.S. citizens do not qualify for security clearances.
Oh it worked in the UK for you? Send me a IG DM let's talk
I love his energy 🤣😂😂😂😂😂
This is not available here in The UK.
Ok im signing up
Does it have to be a Security +? What about the CySa+?
Question, I’m a Permanent Resident of the U.S does that qualify me for a Security Clearance or do I need to be a Citizen?
Hey you need to be a US Citizen
I am not in the US, what is this clearance thing you guys talking about?
Is the SLS discord still open?
EAF! LETS GO 7011
is it possible for salary jump for software devs? I got 3 years relative experience & 1 year professional experience... I'm working on my Sec plus now... anybody got some tips for me?
should i take this course I live in canada
Is the blueprint still available i only see the challenge
What is the challenge?
How do I join the challenge??
I have a Sec+, with cyber experience where do I apply for govtech jobs? I’m trying to get out of private sector.
I do not have a clearance. How do I look for clearance sponsored jobs?
Clearancejobs.com , USAjobs.gov, and directly on govt contractor company websites
I have my security+. Plus I tech experience. But cant find a job
Are you applying to GovTech roles?
Yes I have.@@symonebeez
i dont think that I have applied to Govtech roles specifically. And help would be appreciated. and reciprocated@@symonebeez
not specifically. I have applied to government IT roles in general.@@symonebeez
If you can point me in the right direction. I will appy and go from there. Any help would be appreciated@@symonebeez
The thought of having to move for just 55k made me a lil sad ngl, but I know the title and actual experience will make up for it in time...but sheesh
I can guarantee you he will be making 6 figures within 12 - 18 months. He had other offers paying 70-75k.
Do you need to be a veteran?
You don't have to be a veteran to get a job to sponsor a clearance.
@@rare2find0918 thank you 🙏
No, you do not need to join the military. I got my clearance at 18 years old I've never served a day in my life.
Blessed his heart. #blackboyjoy
Did he not know the millitary can you more stuff for free
I cant do this no more😂😂😂
How does one get a "security clearance" prior to a potential clearance required job?
You have to join the military or get a job with a company that's willing to clear you.
When searching for jobs type in 'ability to obtain clearance '. That'll show jobs that sponsor the clearance.
❤
👏
Symoné you are a beautiful lady inside and out! I love these interviews & interactions! Keep them coming! Y'all are inspiring brothers and sisters out here, young and older! Don't stop! 🦾
