Army vet here that just recently separated after ten years. I have my secret clearance, and just got sec + on 8 March. I accepted a helpdesk gov contract for 67k. Entry level with zero experience. Keep the content going beez!
Graduates brooo so how long did your security clearance take bro
Congrats!
@@clippyrema2678 mine was still active because I just got out of the Army
How was the security+ exam? How long did you study? I am currently trying to study right now, but there are days where I don’t feel like doing the study. I still do it though just a lil nervous about the exams though.
Amazing bro! Behind you on this
“ People don’t get what they deserve they get what they believe “ Amen 🙌🏽❗️
Bars!
Facts!
I just got my first IT job as an technical support analyst working for the State. I’m excited to grow my tech career.
Congratulations
Boyd is the man 🔥
I’m a student of his training program
How in the hell can you afford that training camp?
I absolutely love how he talks about shifting mindset. That’s actually a simple concept that is so vital when transitioning careers or pretty much to
any phase-changing in life. Awesome interview as usual! 🔥
Mindset is the most important shift that is made when changing your life. It sounds cliche but its true lol. The book "Think and Grow Rich" changed my life.
The mind controls everything!
Is there a way to have one on one consulting with you I'd like to share my technical experience to see what would be best overseas role.
he really a mental coach more than a tech coach lol he has a lotta gems about shifting your mindset and believing in yourself first.
@@willberforce876Not really, HE IS LEGIT! I'm in the course and the people including myself have seen results (now the course isnt cheap) but, He teaches you how and what you need to know about PCI/DSS industry and the career coaches are good too. So far so good. 😊
LISTEN!!! i havent listened to one second yet and I KNOW this is going to be great!!! Two of my favorites that Ive never met!!! Lets goooooo!
Aye!
@@BoydClewisyou know you have to interview Beez❤
The cross-over episode I’ve been WAITING to see
I love how he talks about every time he moves, it's a opportunity to learn from that position he's in -- it's so critical to always keep learning, keep growing and having that mindset -- such a fantastic interview!!
Ok Beez!! ..not applying and not accepting anythung under 200k!!! Love that!! Proud of you both. You are both the inspiration i need.🙌🏾🙌🏾
I've been following these two for 3 years. Best collab yet! IYKYK
Terrific episode! I love his energy, enthusiasm and technique. He graduated from the school of corporate, and has earned his “PhD” level of experience! Keep up the great work of teaching others how to pivot into a successful career!
Great advice and tips!!! Thanks such a good episode
This is exactly the job I wanna do in grc. Great conversation.
Great interview! Thanks for sharing!
Just finished your free workshop! Learned so much ! I can’t wait to get into Govtech!
Loved this interview! I've followed Boyd right after I joined a cybersecurity bootcamp. I started following you a little over a year ago when I was working at a specific building and someone told me I need to check you out. Both of you have been such an inspiration. Boyd an I share and almost similar story of why I got into cybersecurity. I'm a little late to the game age wise, but I made someone a promise and just trying to fulfill it. Glad that you two are helping and sharing information that is paramount to being successful.
I’m using tech as something else I can do still keeping my security job that pays well and sponsors for my clearance when I want to switch to gov tech
40:00 finding out that I was doing exactly this previously without actually realizing it... holy crap... cannot thank you enough for the content, super insightful!
Was apart of your training and thanks so much! Very informative and I’m looking forward to hitting the ground running. I don’t have insta so here I am 😊
Fire episode. Motivation I needed going into this sy0-601 exam
Awesome Interview!!
I just liked and subscribed, because you always deliver, meaningful content.
Quality, good content 😊
Another great interview 👏🏾
This video was pure 🔥🔥
This interview is 🔥🔥🔥
Great interview!
Wauw Thanks for the interview. This was amazing!! It help me alot! Really appreciate 👍🏽🤟🏾
Great insights.
Thanks for watching. Like and subscribe to watch future episodes.
That’s a great story Boyd!
I used to audit automotive suppliers on their adherence to QS9000 and ISO9000. My cybersecurity journey is progressed well. PCI DSS is something I’ll explore.
This dude is brilliant.
Indeed, value comes from the problems you can solve.
You need CISSP to be a QSA consultant
Yes. This is true!
That’s correct.
Great tips
Guys are chewing cash in this cyber security space✌🏿
I would LOVE to do this but I’m not able to get into gov tech right now.
Is your program offered online?
moving into consultant role takes grit
I got my security+ net+ a+ and secret clearance, please point me in the right direction
I spoke to them they want you pay money they don’t give you no certifications, but give you experience and land you a job that does not make sense
@chandjno-lewis6121 It makes perfect sense once you realize that having a certification will not land you the job, having the right skills and experience will get you the job. This is me speaking for years of experience in a different industry where I having been job hopping for 3 years. I am now making the transition into cybersecurity and I also am taking his course which is by far the most advanced course I have ever taken. I don't know anyone else who focuses on shifting the mindsets of the people who take their course.
Well...The program is $15k and you will not get a whole lot that transfers to the real world. Just imagine what you can do with that amount of money. Many people on the hook for the money and most even took out loans and got kicked out of the program b/c it's only a 6 Month program. Doesn't matter what happens or how far you get, at the 6 month mark, you are done while still owing $15k. No guarantees of anything of course. Just Ruthless!
It's best to find a boot camp for a few hundred vs such an expensive option that is in a very niche industry -- 'PCI'.. And for what he teaches about PCI , you do NEED a CISSP cert; NO exceptions.
However, the truth is you do Not need certs to get in cyber or IT...it's a fact. You'd be surprised how a nice resume and just simply applying will be more than enough. Cybersec is looking for people from all different backgrounds to train them. We Need more people in cyber!
When it comes to getting jobs in tech here is the order of importance. Experience > Certifications > Degrees. This video is about Boyd and his life story.
@@rainedunbar7651I appreciate you!
You don’t need me for a cert. You can get that anywhere. We teach our clients the skills and how to leverage them to create value that generates high earning potential. It’s start with the mind!
Kicked out of NSBE? Why? how? Hold up!
The course like 11k* smh
Guy has a cool story but don’t waste your time with his program, it’s for sure a scam. Talked to one of his employees or partners and they drag you along before making you pay and give you no insight to what you’re getting yourself into. Very disappointing experience
